She stopped eating greeted me w little eye contact. Paying up front was unexpected. The massage was outstanding. The receptionist/massage therapist did such a great job. Since my massage was being given by the receptionist... she stopped twice to give attention to new customers that came in. Believe it or not.... My annoyance about that was very short because of how relaxed I was from the massage. Her techniques were really good. Her pressure was on point. It's very unfortunate that this establishment uses ONE person to handle all tasks. It wasn't very busy so I can understand from a business perspective why minimal staffing is the approach. She made an appointment for me and even adjusted the timing of it the day-of. J Relaxing Massage was very flexible with scheduling, and they accept walk-ins. There were two employees that I noticed in the dimly lit interior, with its dark walls, trickling water sounds and spa music. There isn't any seating when you walk in, just two massage chairs, mini fridge with water bottles, and a front desk with a tray of candy. When I left, a customer was receiving a massage at the chairs, which made the location of the chairs feel kind of awkward. Hopefully the customer still felt relaxed despite listening to me pay for my massage. I was led to one of the back rooms, which had a massage table with linens and a basket for my personal items. The masseuse was an older lady, and she was very strong and capable. There wasn't much verbal guidance for what to do or what to expect, but she was kind. The splash of cold oil to the back was the most jarring moment of the experience. She used heated rocks and towels as part of the massage. It would have been nice to get a heads-up that heat was coming or an intense shoulder massage (she definitely emphasized the shoulders!), or whatever was next. She hardly said anything, which I can imagine most people would appreciate, so they can focus on relaxing. The full body massage included head, temples, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands, and feet and legs. She also used warm stones and warm, wet washcloths. The linens were clean and fresh, the room was dim with ambient noise, and the hour flew by! There were some areas in the room that could use an upgrade, like where the walls met the ceiling (uneven connections) and the paint drops on the electrical socket. It felt clean overall, although a bit old. It was $55 for a 1 hour full body massage. There is $1 charge for credit cards. Parking is easy to find, as this place is located in a shopping plaza. I'd recommend this place for the price and the ease of scheduling, but if I was looking for a more pampering experience, I'd try elsewhere!

I found Happy Sunny on a mere chance as I was driving through the shopping center and decided to give it a try. First, I called the number that's listed on the Yelp page. It was hard to understand the receptionist as there was a language barrier, however, I was determined to get these knots out of my shoulders and back. Upon arriving, you are given a form that requires you to fill your information along with a body chart to point out where you want specific attention as well as the firmness. This was such a valuable tool that knocks all other parlors out of the park. I got the 40/30 massage and it went so good. There was a moment were I said to myself, 'I NEEDED this.' Which isn't often unless I go to the chiropractor and there's a actual massage therapist there. The prices are fair and they also have cupping amongst other add on's that I'll post. There is a service charge on cards but I didn't mind. Be specific on your tip (i.e. tell them either the $ amount or the % amount. I wanted to tip $20 but was misunderstood for 20% which shorted them but I didn't notice until I realized it.). The place is very clean and Tina did a wonderful job on my back and shoulders. It comes with hot stones which was super relaxing! Tina was my massage therapist and her hands are super skilled and was able to workout the tight spots in my shoulders and neck. This is a no-frills spot so don't expect anything fancy. Unfortunately I found the face cradle to be too stiff so it was a little uncomfortable at times. There was no sheet or blanket provided, just a long towel. It felt kind of rough and scratchy at the beginning of the massage warmup. The massage rooms are not closed off and have open walls. Upon walking in, I noticed a staff member laying down on one of the tables in a room on her phone. I also noticed that I was the only client when I came. During the massage, I could hear the staff playing C-dramas on her phone, and I also heard someone (another staff member?) snoring. I couldn't fully relax because all of the noise, but Tina was still very skilled and was able to reset my body. I'd give 5 stars for Tina, however I'm docking 1 star because of the noisy environment.

None of the pictures tell the tale, the place is cluttered and dirty. There was an older and younger lady constantly yelling at each other in I am guessing a Chinese dialect. They showed me to a room, it was early evening so light was still coming in through the windows, and thank goodness for that. I sit down and start taking off my shoes and notice the rugs are nasty, then I turn and look at the bed, there is this big brown smear stain about where one's butt would go, hair all over, the sheets are all wrinkled and worn. At this point I had had enough. I get up (they never closed the door by the way) and the younger girl rushes in asking if things are okay. I tell her no, she needs to change the sheets. The other older lady is yelling at her even louder and then she tells me no, the sheets are find and lay down. I say clearly they aren't fine, but she keeps telling me they are clean and have a "laundry stain." Their arguing reaches fever pitch at this point as I say I am leaving and she begs me not to go, eventually saying she will put me in a different room. How would that solve the problem, that the place is chaos, they refuse to accommodate people, and they don't care about cleanliness? I tell them they have some problems and I am don't want to deal with this as I leave, having to literally pull away from her grabbing my arm. The couple, I'm told are husband and wife, but they didn't speak a lick of English. I saw their certificates on the wall, so that's a good sign, but they didn't ask for my health information and I couldn't tell them about sciatic pain I was having. The pressure that the MT was using was more than I could handle. I asked the MT to lighten the pressure but she didn't lighten up at all. She continued to press her elbows into my bones, and hit the same areas over and over, throughout the hour. I didn't say anything because I figured she'd be done soon and move on to my arms and legs and then turn me over, but she didn't. She spent the whole hour on my back, elbows into the same spots. The next day I felt beat up and bruised. All and all, I guess it was an okay massage and not as bad as the stories I'd heard. The place was bright and clean, the entry room is open and as I walked in I was welcomed by the receptionist. I called ahead and they had an opening so I was taken to my room right away. Massage room was spacious with a nice chair to prepare for the massage. Tina was my masseuse and she was great, she had a nice touch and really worked out my sore back and shoulders. I've been to some other massage places in the area but I think I just found my new spot.
