I am so long overdue, but better late than never, right? LOL Our wedding reception took place on 6/25/2022 at the Villa. We booked our reception venue back in 2020 and Alyssa was so amazing! She helped us with so much. She was always there to answer any of my repetitive questions via email. I cannot explain how much Alyssa and the team at the Villa went above and beyond for our wedding. Our wedding was incredibly beautiful. I wish I can relive the moment over again. My family and friends cannot stop talking about how delicious the food was. The 7 course meal Vietnamese style was delicious. I loved their lobster and garlic noodles. Hands down, the best. There is nothing bad I can say about Alyssa and the Villa Team. They were amazing and we're so thankful we chose this reception venue for our wedding. They made our wedding night become a living dream. It was just so beautiful!! Words cannot explain. My experience with this venue started out great up until the pandemic happened. This is where things got very ugly and continued to get uglier. I booked this venue in fall 2019 for an October 2020 wedding. Our payment was split into 4 and we had already paid our first + second installment by the time the pandemic happened. At the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020), we had an estimated 200 guest list, so we were worried that it would be greatly affected. We reached out to ask if we would be able to postpone our wedding to October 2021 due to fear that the government would not allow a gathering that size to happen. The venue refused saying that things were expected to resume normality by August 2020 and if we really wanted to postpone our date, we would have to pay our 3rd installment (which is about 50% of the total). I refused to pay that amount so early on, especially if we were in a situation where we didn't know what was going to happen. We emailed back and forth for a month, trying to get them to compromise on a fair agreement. They finally offered to move out date if we paid a non-refundable $2,000 fee that wouldn't apply towards the cost of the wedding. At that point, I was ready to take them to small claims court to fight for all of my money that I have already given them and take my business elsewhere. I understand that the pandemic affected businesses everywhere, but for them to be so money-hungry even when people were out of jobs, shutting down, and businesses going out of business were absolutely selfish and greedy. After threatening them with small claims court, they agreed to postpone our wedding date to October 2021 without any fees or third installment having to be paid a year in advance. During the 6 months leading up to the wedding, they have been unresponsive and unhelpful. I understand that emails aren't answered from Thursday-Sunday due to weddings, but my emails would get ignored for 2 weeks at a time before I got a response AFTER I send a follow up email. After I finalized my guest and table count, they approved it... but then went back 4 days later and said that I was short one table so I would have to pay out of pocket to cover it. I refused because I do not want to give this establishment anymore of our money. We had already put the rest of the money into the bar tab to hit the minimum for this venue. They decided to just give it to us by taking the table cost out of the bar tab. All in all, they were NOT helpful, unreasonable, unresponsive and a terrible experience to work with. We had our wedding in September 2019 and we were blown away with how beautiful and seamless everything turned out! From the food, to the decor, to the florals, to the lighting, to the attentive staff, to the bar, to just everything...wowww x10! Our wedding turned out to be a dream come true and I have to owe it to Alyssa who made it all happen for us! She worked with us over the course of the year documenting all the details of everything we wanted and needed to happen on our wedding day. As you know, there's always tons of details involved in every wedding and I am impressed with her attention to detail and professionalism. I've probably sent her over 100 emails over the course over the year and she responds to every single one of them making sure that my concerns/questions are addressed. This is a LONG OVERDUE review as our wedding was May 28, 2022. We booked The Villa for our original wedding date in 2021 because the space was just too beautiful to pass up. Unfortunately we had to postpone our wedding by a year due to Covid, but Alyssa was amazing throughout the entire process. She responded to all of my questions and many follow up questions with patience and grace. I'm sure she was as stressed as the couples she was working with, but she didn't show it at all. She and her team were also very accommodating in arranging for my friend and cousin to tour the venue to help me plan (since I'm living in NJ and doing all of my planning from afar). On the day of my wedding, Alyssa, Natalie, and the team kept everything running smoothly. The venue was beautifully decorated and the staff was attentive to all our needs. We were able to come early to put our DIY decor together. My guests RAVED about the food (Vietnamese family-style) and still talk about it to this day. My only minor qualm (but not enough to take away a star) is that I wish they had an organized book of decorations they've done in the past or decorations they can do. My husband and I had two separate weddings where one of them was just for our traditional ceremonies. We chose Villa because of word of mouth recommendations. They certainly did not disappoint us. If anything, they completely exceeded our expectations. I am so thankful towards Nikki and her team! *Food: We chose the 8 course meal which our guests LOVED! Everybody went home so full and even had left overs. *Decor/Florals: Nikki and her team blew me away with how beautiful everything turned out. I had requested a LOT of greenery and gold, while not trying to break the bank. Everything came out so beautiful! My guests said they had never seen a floral setup like that before. *Space/Venue: The venue is quite spacious! We loved that there was a lot of room outside of the main event area that was good for our guests to mingle before the main event. As the bride, I also really appreciated that there was room upstairs for me to get ready. Also, the high windows in the main ballroom provide AWESOME lighting. This worked great for us since we had our event during the day and so our pictures came out wonderful. *Service: Given that we had two different traditional ceremonies that day ( Chinese tea ceremony and the Korean "paebaek"), needless to say, there was a lot of planning and logistics involved. Nikki was so accommodating with all of our requests and helped me through a lot of the planning as well. On the day of, she guided me through each part and everything went so smoothly. Kimberly was nice to help us throughout the process. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she was able to put that into a rough drawing. She also gave me $100 discount ($1000 to $900). However, the decor on the wedding day did not come out nearly similar to the drawing that she gave me. I emailed her afterwards and she said the $100 discount limited all the flowers. we started our wedding planning with lifetime weddings and events back in 2019. alyssa was our coordinator - she was super responsive and organized, and made planning for our reception relatively easy despite us living in the bay area and not able to meet with her as often to go over details together. the wedding packages are reasonably priced, and you are really getting a good deal for delicious food, service, and a beautiful venue! one thing that i was concerned about was how customized our wedding could be since we had to stick to the all-inclusive packages that the villa offered. alyssa really listened and worked with us to make our vision for our wedding a reality with the ambient lighting, the beautiful florals for the photo area, the centerpieces, the sweetheart table and backdrop, and the gorgeous chandelier for the dance floor. our wedding was also originally scheduled for april 2020 but we had to postpone to november 2021 because of covid - alyssa and team were very understanding and tried to accommodate for the changes as much as possible, which we really appreciated since the whole process of rescheduling and wedding planning during covid was very stressful. we had even thought about canceling the wedding but we're so glad we didn't. it was so good to see family and friends, after not seeing each other for years, and having something to celebrate together. alyssa and team made the day so memorable and beautiful and worked vigilantly behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly. everyone enjoyed the food and drinks, commented on how lovely everything was, and had so much fun on the dance floor. we had a great experience and would highly recommend lifetime weddings and events at the villa! read more

Beautiful venue with a rustic look but just many logistical things/restrictions adding up. Read below. Pros: Beautiful venue. There's a large space for welcome pictures and it also opens up to a large area to socialize for cocktail hour. Also a bridal suite upstairs to leave your stuff with own restroom. Per guests, food was delicious (guests liked the hor d'oeuvres, the Peking duck, fish and lobster). Wedding was amazing but would probably go somewhere else due to lack of flexibility and fees. Cons: upon rescheduling in 8/2020, Villa made us pay extra 2,000 to reschedule after May 2021 (we knew that there was still a high chance of covid restrictions being active up until March 2021 and did not want to risk rescheduling again so we had to pay $2000 to have our wedding in August 2021), they don't allow "outside food" - all food except cake has to come from them or pay vendor fee, we wanted to do our own charcuterie table as a dessert table but that was not allowed because it was outside food and said it would cost us $1400 if we wanted Villa to make one for us, we wanted in n out food truck and boba but that would've cost us minimum of $500 extra per vendor fee, we had to buy food from Villa to feed our vendors ($35 per person) because we couldn't bring in outside food, cannot stock bar with outside purchased alcohol, they said it was an extra $150 fee if the bridal party wanted to come before 5pm (tried to say it was due to covid but then why pay..), cognac only for bottles at table (aka no tequila, whiskey, etc), weren't allowed to have beers already set at the tables - guests had to go up to the bar for beer, could not buy and stock our own beers, made us pick up boutonnières and flowers day before wedding instead of dropping it off day of wedding. There is also a 20% service charge that goes to booking the venue, which is a large additional price tag considering there is a minimum $20k needed to book the venue itself. Nikki does not respond to emails in a timely manner or respond at all sometimes. We were fortunate to have an amazing wedding coordinator (OH MISSY EVENTS) that was the communicator between me and Nikki. Overall, if we did it over, we would've had our wedding at a different venue with less restrictions. Been to weddings where there are no vendor fees, "outside food"restrictions or alcohol limitations. Our other vendors were great and helped make the night amazing. read more

We just got married here and We can't recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and beautiful architecture. Best part about this venue was they had a private parking lot with assigned security. It was nice that we got to pick from a variety of food menu. The venue coordinator, Alyssa was amazing and helpful the entire way through. We really liked the option of having everything go through the venue, for example the florist. This really helped saved us a lot of time and stress. Alyssa had a lot of great vendors that she was able recommend to us. read more

Beautiful venue/space/florals/decorations but we were let down with the food on our wedding day!!! Such a huge disappointment after all the money we spent to have our dream wedding here!!! We chose this venue for furiwa catering but we were not at all happy with the food we received. After postponing our wedding we decided to stick to this venue because we loved the space so much. We went to their tasting back in 2019, it was great! Although the menu changed and their prices increased, we still paid extra to have lobster and steak for our guests but that was the biggest disappointment. Our steak was dry, hard and salty. Our guests said they couldn't eat it. They were still hungry after their dinner. Honestly, i dont know how anyone can pay so much for food and not be happy with what they received. I wish they cared about their customers. Bad experience for our wedding day! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Absolutely loved lifetime weddings as my florist!!!! They went above and beyond! I ordered simple center pieces and when they arrived they exceeded my expectations!! The florist took my request to an entirely different level and they were flawless! Also I forgo I added a bridesmaid at the last minute and forgot to order an extra bouquet! Liz had a bouquet made for me an hour before my ceremony! And delivered to the church As if that wasnt enough.. The flowers i chose for the boutonnières was rather delicate so they sent me 10 spare boutonnières just in case I had a problem! read more

The Villa/Lifetime Weddings & Events are not going to refund me. They are liars and I am reporting them to BBB. When dealing with shady people, make sure EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING. EVEN WHEN THEY TELL YOU THEY WILL THROW IT IN, HOOK IT UP...etc, do not believe it until it is IN WRITING. PROTECT YOURSELF, DON'T TRUST THEM. I trusted and I got had, of example my Linen napkins were a 'hookup', NOT ON MY INVOICE but they sure added to my invoice at the end of the night. Make sure if they promise to hook you up, have it in your contract with a ZERO next to it. That is the ONLY WAY they won't rip you off. Make sure you double triple check everything because I had to have Liz correct a few things on my invoice prior to the wedding. To error is human but the Furiwa Family is subhuman. They have done so many weddings they could care less about yours. Great facility but at the end of the day, you want to leave happy. If I can go back, I would totally give up the chandeliers and fireplace. I know better now. The decor is nice but nice isn't enough to relive the nightmare again. I didn't have my wedding at this venue but I booked them as my florist and worked with both Mai and Nikki. They are pricier than other Asian establishments and I interpreted that to mean they were more professional and the quality of their work would be a lot better. WRONG! Mai was very nice, accommodating, and listened to our ideas. We ordered centerpieces for 25 tables, an arch for use during our ceremony, personal flowers, and a few extra arrangements for the greeting tables, etc. I provided pictures and met with both sisters, though mostly with Mai, several times to go over specific details. For my morning ceremony, I got all the personal flowers first and was totally shocked and disappointed by the quality. My bouquet was really TINY, with only a minimal amount of orchids and calla lilies. I was charged $250 for it alone and it looked extremely cheap and homemade. I looked NOTHING like the pictures I had provided nor have I ever seen pictures of any bridal bouquet so small/ skimpy. The flowers were not fresh nor professionally arranged so it was lopsided and Iooked like something I could've done myself. My bridesmaids' bouquets and other personal flowers were the same. I was horrified by how they turned out and was surprised that Lifetime would produce such arrangements. These seriously looked like something you could've ordered from any other florist on Bolsa but you would've paid 50% less. The arch for our ceremony was also another sore spot. I had wanted something earthy, lush and romantic and instead got some manzanita branches thrown together w/ a few fake flowers glued on. It looked like a child's weekend project and no thought had been put into it. I was charged a lot for the arch and it was the center of our ceremony so I was extremely upset. It looked really cheezy in the our pictures ..sigh. The only positive note was that I was very happy w/ the centerpieces. They actually turned out the way we had discussed and looked beautiful and worthy of how much I paid for them. I think the problem is that they can't handle arrangements that are different and modern. If you have a different aesthetic than theirs then it will end up being a disaster. They over charge in areas they're familiar with and under charge on arrangements they've never done so in the end they're scrambling and cutting corners, trying to make a profit by taking a little from here to make up for it there. This is totally unprofessional and really shows in the end products. Brides going to their show room would get the impression that they're more modern & reliable than other Asian wedding vendors, but my experience has proved otherwise! You get a false sense of comfort because the consultants are young and seem to understand where you're coming from... and then your wedding day comes and you end up with cheap arrangements that were not made with quality in mind. Save your money and do NOT use Lifetime. There are plenty of other florists that can do a better job and are comparable or more competitive in price. This is a family business and they also run Furiwa. Between that restaurant and Lifetime, the sisters have done a lot of weddings so they're just over it and don't invest a lot of energy into these events. Go with another vendor who actually takes pride in their work and, most importantly, will be honest with you! read more

My wedding was 10/7/17. Crazy day in the industry when talking to all my vendors. I worked with Nikki for flowers and decor for my venue in Irvine. She listened to my ideas, made suggestions, and of course talked about the budget of it all. Knowing my 500 guest wedding would not be easy she made sure everything would go smoothly. We exchanged some emails, revised my invoices when the numbers went up or down and after a year of planning my wedding day finally came. I had some bridesmaid pick up flowers the day before once I found out I could not make it and they were ready to go. Day of I had flowers and decor delivered to the church, another indoor ceremony, as well as the reception site. Walking into the reception I really was in awe of it all. I had Nikki for my consultant at Lifetime. She was very bad at emailing or calling me back. I never knew what was going on until I called her several times. Personally, I like her as person, but professionally, she was made me wary of Lifetime. However, by then I already gave them my deposit. They are pricier than other florists and I thought that would translate into professionalism and efficiency. Wrong! The thing that made me really mad was that they promised the flowers by 2:00, 2:30pm at the most, so we could take pictures before our ceremony at 5pm. The flowers didn't come until 3:30 and they didn't even give us a call and when we tried to call them the girl at Lifetime didn't even know where they were or what they were up to at that moment. That really sucked for us because we didn't have any time between the ceremony and the reception to take pictures. The funny thing was Nikki emailed me at 9:30 am that morning to promise me that she would have the flowers ready by 2 pm. I basically had a team of 5 photographers and videographers that came 2:00 pm taking pictures of nothing for almost an hour. When my bouquets did come, they were pretty bland and the petals were badly bruised. I really didn't like it at all and I was mad that I trusted Nikki to pick it out for me. I remember describing to her what I wanted and she did seem to understand me at the time. My bridesmaid bouquet were pretty boring too. Just roses for everyone. They charged me $150 for flowers on my cake. I saw that there were about 5-7 orchids on my 3 tiered square cake. There is no way that was $150 worth of flowers on that cake unless those orchids were grown and handpicked from the Amazon forest the night before by the queen herself. The large arrangements were alright. They weren't ugly but they weren't spectacular either. On a positive note, the canopy with the flowerballs was very beautiful. The drapings and the backlights were awesome. The centerpiece were ridiculously large but people were fighting over them so I guess they were worth the also ridiculous pricetag. I would not recommend this place. They did some things well but their prices are insane and I barely have any family pictures because of their tardiness. Also, if you don't pay off your balance before your wedding, they will ask for the money at the end of your wedding. Of course, they don't tell you that and they are asses who want to hold your wedding gifts as collateral until you pay. I would have gladly pay off my balance upfront, but she was nonchalant about the money that I didn't know how to proceed. read more

This place is horrible and a compete rip off. The staff is pushy and everything is way over price. All of the dresses are size 10 and need to be altered for small Asian brides. The food is standard Asian fare, but everything else is WAY OVER PRICED. You cannot use outside vendors and if you do, you must pay $500 per vendor. The lighting, flowers, linen, etc. was outrageously overpriced and cookie cutter. Nothing special or unique. I was very disappointed with the services offered. I had my wedding here on 2/18/2017. I'll give you all a summary of goods and bads so you can make your own decision. Positives: - The place itself is gorgeous. I loved the chandeliers, lighting, curtains, stairs, and layout. - The guests seemed to like the food (mostly Asians). They cater from Furiwa. - The coordinator, Emily, is very understanding and helpful. - It's a one stop shop for venue, food, decor, flowers. Negatives - They are pricey for what you get. - They charge you fees up the wazoo. For example, $5 for outside beer. Extra fees for veggie meals on top of the regular meal cost, etc. - The florist quit A WEEK BEFORE our wedding and did not bother to inform us ahead of time. I was hoping they would make up for it but there was miscommunication between the old and new florist. There were some things I was charged for that I did not ask for. Overall, if you want a pretty nice wedding and have money to spend (25k+ on a venue) and not a lot of time to shop around or plan, this is one option. Grade: A- Lifetime does excellent work and offers quality products; however, their prices are on the higher end. I ordered table linens, a wall-to-wall backdrop, a photo backdrop and head table draping through them. The prices for these for reasonable, though I did find the same floor-length linens for $10 less per table elsewhere. However, as Lifetime is Furiwa's sister company, I felt it would be easier for them to work together and set up the tables correctly. Lifetime executed the draping beautifully. The backdrops were perfect, just as discussed. However, Lifetime usually sticks to their basic designs, so all of their weddings look similar. I met with Lifetime for floral design work as well, but I ended up going with another florist because she was more willing to work with me on custom designing my bouquets and centerpieces. Lifetime offered cookie cutter bouquets for higher prices - I could only have roses and orchids in my bouquets and my bridesmaids could only have roses. If I wanted anything else, the cost was much too exorbitant. Also, for the tall centerpiece that I wanted with similar flowers, Lifetime quoted me at least 2x as much. I was also quoted much higher for gobo lighting and pinlighting than my vendor, and slightly higher for uplighting. Lifetime is a very solid group and they do great work. I would trust them to execute beautifully; however, I do feel their prices are a bit high for their "cookie-cutter" look. However, their look is very elegant, so I suppose it's cookie cutter for a reason. They are a talented group so they should easily be able to work in any design/decor that the couple wishes. But for their best deals, you would have to choose from their basic designs. They sometimes offer an overall deal (savings) if you book their larger packages too. My good friend ordered her Pronovias dress through them, and everything went smoothly. She also did the works with them (lighting, draping, chair covers, upgraded white dancefloor, etc), and she was very happy with them. So for the brides that want an all-in-one place, Lifetime is a good stop; however, if you are looking for good prices, you may need to shop around. They do quality work, though, and are very experienced with weddings, so sometimes, it's more of a hassle to look for the best deals. Lifetime gets an A for their work, the minus is just for their higher rates. Lifetime also has a gorgeous, Spanish-style banquet hall called The Villa which is a great, reasonably priced venue for weddings and/or events. If my guestlist was under 300, I might have chosen the venue. The biggest selling point of this venue? It comes set up with chiavari chairs! A+ for that! read more

We've been told our wedding was one of the best and most beautiful weddings our guests have been to and we owe part of that to Alyssa! We booked the Villa right before COVID and right when the country seemed to be shutting down and there wasn't an end in sight, she helped reassure us throughout the early planning process that things will be okay. Alyssa always had our best interest in mind. She worked with our budget, never pushed up for unnecessary details, and gave suggestions based on what we had envisioned. Even when our guest count increased and our layout had to change, she took time to plan a new layout and I completely trusted her. The wedding decor and florals turned out more BEAUTIFUL than I imagined. She had no problems when we had a change of heart on certain details, needed help with the alcohol package, and last minute floral delivery. She is the sweetest and most professional person to work with and had great communication even though she got married just weeks before me! I She even came up to us in the middle of your reception to get us our signature drink. I can't recommend her enough. I'm in the midst of planning my wedding with Nikki and I have to say that I am very pleased with their company and what they stand for. My fiance and I met with her to go over our ideas and she was totally on board with everything and had great input of her own. She is really open to different ideas and accommodating what we wanted. It was so fun coming up with ideas that it was more like girlfriends planning a party instead of a bride working with her vendor. I decided to use Lifetime for most of the wedding decor, including bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony and reception flowers, and lighting. Nikki has been quick to respond to my emails and making any changes that I wanted. And she was very understanding of our budget, which I'm sure most couples would appreciate. They don't nickel and dime you if you want to add a few extra things or make modifications. It's very interesting to read the bad reviews on yelp because I'm sure the unhappy brides were probably the bridezillas that had problems with all of their vendors. I guess you can't please everyone, right? I would suggest any new bride to at least meet with Nikki and her staff before making any judgements that really aren't valid. As far as prices, even my DJ and venue said that I shouldn't go with them for lighting because they can't beat the prices at Lifetime. People who said they are overpriced must have DIY centerpieces and invitations. It's a wedding, people! You get what you pay for and if you want a beautiful wedding, Lifetime will be there to help you. I can't wait to see how my wedding will turn out! I'll update you guys on the outcome!! read more

WOW! From the beginning when I met with Nikki I didn't really have a direct vision of what I wanted for my big day. I told her I wanted clean and modern feel with a touch of vintage. She was very understanding and gave me direction. She showed me different slides and from there we were able to create a perfect vibe of what I envisioned. I asked her advice about certain things and she was able to redirect me. I remember asking her, "Am I missing anything?". She never tried to upsell me on things that I didn't need. I really appreciated that. My bouquet: I loved my bouquet of peonies with lace wrap. My BM's bouquets: I couldn't believe how gorgeous they were. I believe Nikki told me she added silver leafs to the bouquet of blush and ivory roses. It was the perfect play to their Victoria Beckham-esh grey dresses. My grooms bout: It's all about the details. His bout had a small piece of lace too! The centerpieces: Lush and full of flowers. My guest couldn't believe that they could take them. BEAUTIFUL! Cake stage decor: Staggered on amazing vases filled with flowers. Lighting: It was perfect for photos. Ambience is everything! Backdrop: Shocked at the glamourous "eyelash" backdrop. My fave!!!!!! I was stunned on the day of, at the Hilton, Irvine's Crystal Ballroom. They had me come in for my first look of the room. My eyes started to tear from the BEAUTIFUL room. I was so happy. Beyond amazed at the work that Nikki and the Lifetime crew did!!! I could'nt have envisoned that my wedding could be that FAB! My mother in law was beaming! She thought the room was gorgeous. The ambiance in the room was warm and inviting. p.s. Decor is everything. Future brides make sure you do it up! You will never forget your day! Thank you for making my day GORGEOUS! I have nothing but rave reviews for Nikki at Lifetime weddings. The woman knows her stuff! I know very little about flower names and colors, but had an "idea" in my mind as to what I hoped the decor would look like for our wedding. Nikki was able to bring it all together and completely transform our wedding ballroom into something my husband and I completely LOVED! The bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful as well! The cost was reasonable and definitely worth it. Even when we found a couple of vendors to add on to what she could offer, she was gracious and understanding. She fulfilled pretty much every aspect of decorating for the wedding and for that, I will be forever grateful. Our guests still rave about how beautiful everything was. Liz was awesome! From the day I met her I knew I wanted to work with her because she wanted my day to be just that! My day! The MOST important part of planning my wedding was staying within my budget but still having the best wedding and Liz allowed that to happen. She was quick to reply to emails and I literally could ask her anything and she would answer no question was a dumb question. Are you kidding me? I was invited to a special event here and I'm still picking my jaw up off of the floor. From the Hollywood Red Carpet laid out for us from (complimentary) valet parking, to the top notch floor to ceiling decor to the gourmet Food Network worthy cuisine and topped by custom box of hot desserts handed to me when I left in one hand, and a BLKdot coffee in my other...I never wanted to leave. These people do not leave out any details. They've got it covered. I've been to many many events in my professional and personal life and not many have topped this. The Tran family are as easy going as you can get for people running an amazing event production, slash, gourmet catering business. They have done a great job of bringing together food from the asian heritage to design and decor, worthy of a spread in a Bride Magazine editorial. We had the pleasure working with Emily and Kimberly to plan our reception. They were very accommodating to our requests and giving suggestions on what is necessary and what's not. Although they may be expensive, our overall experience was wonderful. Our guests absolutely loved the venue, the flowers, decor, the ambience and everyone loved the food. I ordered lighting and a backdrop for my wedding. The lighting was great but I was a little disappointed that the backdrop was wrinkled :( You are able to see how wrinkled it was in all my wedding photos :( I e-mailed Liz about this and attached a picture of my ceremony so she can see how wrinkled the backdrop was. I know this wasn't her fault but a hiccup with the workers or something. She apologized and assured me that this wasn't going to happen again.. to me or to anyone else. She was super understanding and super nice since the very beginning. She sent me a partial refund for it too which was very nice, as we all know others would never do. I would recommend using Lifetime Weddings & Events and I look forward to planning more events with them. :) read more

This is a bad wedding venue. Please think this over and try other options to celebrate your wedding. DO NOT GO HERE. The management is very incompetent and they will take magical out of your wedding if anything happens . They don't take care of you after your paid. I was there for my friend's son's wedding. The waiter who carried a heavy tray of soup accidentally spilled the soup all over my friend at the same table from her head down. It spilled onto her dress, her purse, and her jacket hanging on the chair. I called to see if there was anything they could do for my friend. The management was so rude and said there was nothing they could do for my friend. This bothered me so much. There was no customer service department to handle complaints. You would be on your own if anything happens to you. The person who answered the calls said that there was no one higher than her that I could talk to regarding this situation. The manager kept on saying that there was nothing that she could do. The management here was extremely unreasonable, unresponsive and unprofessional. I am not fluent with writing review on yelp, but the experience when dealt with the management here was worse than bad which forced me to learn to share my experience and hoping that I can help the next person who interested in booking this venue can think again before signing the contract. read more

Apparently someone at Lifetime made up a fake yelp account and sent me nasty messages about my review, saying that I am a cheap bride, etc. What unprofessional and unethical business practices! Weddings are expensive, so why wouldn't I try to budget and save money where I can? It's a no brainer Lifetime! Stop harassing me with your stupid emails! I am not taking my review down. read more

My fiance and I drove about an hour to get a quote for draping and up-lighting for our upcoming wedding on the recommendation of our friends who used them for their wedding. We set up an appointment for a consultation. When we arrived the girl who greeted us turned us away stating , " sorry we're booked up for that day. " So, I look at my fiance ready for flip out, because we organized our day around this consult and drove about an hour to meet them, to be told that they were already booked. Hello..... that could have been told to us over the phone, and saved us a whole day. But, another girl over heard our conversation and started inquiring about what we were really there for. She sat us down and we went through what we wanted and she gave us a reasonable quote. She then tells us , she will email us the next day with the formalized quote on excel. My fiance and I walk out thinking that we were getting a pretty decent quote. But, that wasn't the real quote. She doesn't email the next day, she actually takes over a week to formalize the quote. This is a very long time, most vendors will give you a quote and stand by it immediately. They don't take over a week. Their original verbal quote was no where near their formal quote. It was actually 3x more than what you can find reasonably if you just take the time and google it. Do not book with this place, save your self the drive google what you need and you'll find a much better place. Customer service is horrible, they don't get back to you in a reasonable time frame. Their process was so weak, I couldn't even call it a bait and switch, it was complete lack knowledge. The girl was just pulling numbers from a hat all the way through. Lifetime was part of my decor "team" during my wedding four years ago. My table linens, chair covers, cake decor, cake table, sweetheart table, as well as two wall to wall drapery were done by Lifetime. I would have done everything with them, but they simply just couldn't supply everything that I had wanted. I wanted a certain look for my orchid centerpieces, but they could not envision it (they kept on recommending the while dendrobium centerpieces with brown branches). I wanted certain lighting gobos and a certain color for my uplighting but they didn't have it and could not get it. I wanted certain decor for my ceremony but they just told me that they didn't have what I was looking for and didn't even tell me that they would try to get it for me. So I had to go and find other companies who were able to complete my vision. But the worst part of working with them was their poor customer service AFTER you signed the contract. I initially worked with Mai and Cindy--who were very nice and it did feel like you were planning a wedding with your girlfriends, that's why I decided to use them. Then somehow, I ended up with Nikki as both Mai and Cindy were no longer available. Nikki is nice too but trying to get a hold of her was a VERY stressful task--when I called, there was always a "receptionist" who took down a message that probably never got passed on since I never got a returned call back. VERY impersonable and annoying. The only way I heard back from Nikki was via email 3-4 days later from the original message. You would figure that when you're in the wedding business for a good amount of years, you would know how stressed you're brides are, and every small issue is considered a big issue to them, so a prompt response is of essence. I believe that they're finished work is nice, but NOT spectacular for what you pay. If you look at their web site closely, you would notice a similar theme in the flowers and decor that they use. There really is very little differentition and uniqueness from one wedding to another, besides maybe the lighting that the bride has choosen and the color of the draping. The wedding business is sooo huge, with so many vendors charging about the same price, so if you're going to be spending a fortune (which you should for this once in a lifetime event), spend it on a company that has you as their priority and who envisions a reception hall that will be unique to just you and your groom. This is coming from personal experience. And honestly, what's wrong with being a bridezilla--you better be if you are spending that much time and money on you're wedding! Things better be as perfect as possible! Bottom line, shop around! read more

I only ordered Chair Covers with a Sash from Lifetime Weddings and Events. They were timely and fast. We had a little mix up with the color of the sash but Liz quickly made the changes in one hour (right before the ballroom doors opened - amazing) and everything was great. read more

Ridiculous vallet service. Had to wait for half an hour in the cold when I knew where my car was parked. They wouldn't let me access my car.

The venue was beautiful! Everyone who came complimented on how beautiful everything was. It was perfectly organized and I couldn't be happier. Amazing and just gorgeous setting. The lighting was great and the table settings were perfect. The wedding day was out of this world. Thank you so much for everything lifetime weddings! read more

facility is nice, too bad the parking sucks, the consultants are rude, and the prices are outrageous. my experiences here was terrible. the consultants are pushy and they make you sign all these different form about all their diff regulations and procedures...it was a terrible experience.--almost makes you NOT want to marry. i am much better at some hotel.--the worst part was that they really try to monopolize the whole wedding-- from the food to the forals and decorations to the photography. just too much stipulation to use their facility that it was not worth it at all!!!!! read more

I worked with Nikki as my main contact and as we are from out of town and were having a "destination" wedding, she made sure to provide me with the list of a wonderful dream team. All of Nikki's vendors recommendations including photography (Huy Khiem Photography), Videography (WHSY entertainment), photo booth (Pixel Photo Booth), DJ/Emcee (Hilo Productions), Lifetime's OWN floral arrangements.... Ah the list can go on and on and I can (and will rave about each and every one of them in their own review)... I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and reception location at The Villa. All of our guests have not stopped complimenting us on the different wedding scenery and the amazing food. All the girls (Nikki, Kimberly and Emily) are fantastic! We had a wonderful experienced with Nikki at Lifetime Weddings!! She took care of us from the first meeting we had with her until the day of reception. She is a pleasant straight shooter that just gets things done and that's exactly what we needed. Yes, she is a tad pricey but I have to say it was worth every penny spent! My Bouquet was gorgeous, bridesmaids bouquet was beautiful and centerpieces (orchids) were fantabulous! Gobo was awesome!!! Sweetheart table along with cake table was very simple but yet elegant!! Everything we asked for!! I weeped when i walked into my reception. I couldn't believe how beautiful and breathe taking it was!!!! We were so relieved that everything in the room was done on time. i highly recommend Nikki at Lifetime Events and I will surely use her for future planning. We had the pleasaure of having the Villa / Lifetime host our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.  We primarily worked with Nikki and additionally Melissa, Crisselle and Ellisa (sp?).  Overall communication was very good.  Some days would be busier than others (especially if e-mailing on the weekend during the busy summer wedding season) but nonetheless every message/concern was well addressed, including last minute hiccups/requests.  We actually did not hire a wedding planner for the day, although Crisselle/Nikki and staff pretty much served as our wedding coordinator for the evening and took care of everything.  Coming from a tradiational chinese family, our parents were hesitant for a modern style wedding, but thankfully The Villa delivered an amazing evening.  Our family and friends enjoyed the beautiful venue, food, and service.  Price-wise would be moderate in terms of wedding relativity (get what you pay for kinda-deal) and we were required to use their florals/centerpieces/lighting/on-site decorations.  Nonetheless the venue is very well kept, extravagant, and modern/rustic.  There is some leeway to add customizations as we had our own dessert table and donut wall.  Overall we were very happy with the Villa/Lifetime and would highly recommend to our friends/family if within their wedding budget. read more

OMG! they are amazing!!!!!!!!!! My wedding turned out beautiful as they promised me! I loved every detail they did for me!! if you want to hire someone who know what they are doing then you def. need to hire Lifetime!! Melissa was a huge help! Every time I emailed her with any questions she always responded within a couple of hours and she was on top of things. Honestly, I think everyone should go with Lifetime Event!!!!
