Why can't I give more than 5 stars??! If you are like me and HATE working out, Lena is the personal trainer you never knew you needed. She provides a judgement-free environment with zero pressure from others because it's just you and her during the 1:1 sessions. She gives the right amount of push, positive reinforcement, and guidance so you can achieve your own goals. She is firm and demanding, but somehow gentle and understanding at the same time, too. She checks in to see how you're feeling at the start, multiple times during, and at the end of each session. She is attentive, provides clear instructions, models the movements, and is very open to modifying exercises and expectations based on what you personally need. I also love that her gym is smaller than a typical corporate gym. It has a cozier, less intimidating feel to it. Not to worry, though. Her gym is fully stocked and she has everything you need to achieve a full-body workout. In addition to a free consultation (5-10 min talk re: goals + 30 min workout), she offers single sessions or you can buy a package of sessions at a slight discount. In terms of scheduling, she's very accommodating. I've had to change my session to another day several times now and she was really great about squeezing me in on another day of the week. If you're on the fence about signing up, don't be. Lena is nothing like the personal trainer stereotypes out there. She's personable, approachable, knowledgeable, and encouraging. I've been training with Lena for 10 weeks now and the results have been amazing. I'm 69 and recovering from a heart procedure She's pushed me to build strength and stamina without ever pushing too far. She checks with me on my heart rate, keeps my form safe, and follows up after workouts with texts to make sure I'm doing well. The workouts fly by because she keeps you engaged and motivated, and by the end I'm drenched in sweat but feeling great. She's encouraging, but she also demands progress. Lena is truly an amazing personal trainer! I came in completely new to working out and being scared of going to large gyms since I had no idea where to start. After starting 1-on-1 sessions with Lena, I'm slowly gaining more knowledge on workout routines, along with how to look over my diet. Although I've only trained for a little over a month, I'm already seeing a lot of progress and feeling stronger which makes me happy. :) Her sessions are typically a mix of cardio and upper/lower body, and she always makes sure to switch it up and add more weight every week. Lena is great! My husband and I have been attending sessions with her for a little over a month now and have really enjoyed them a lot. Lena is a superstar who exudes great energy. We reached out to her after our previous trainer had moved too far away due to Covid. Lena was super responsive and we set up an appointment for the next day. With the previous trainer I wanted pure focus on weight training form, since I had hurt my lower back badly doing barbell squats in 2016, and after a few months of training I felt I had a good handle on good safe form for weight training. On meeting Lena we explained our situation, and communicated that we were at a stage where it felt we should focus on core strengthening and balance, to avoid injuring my knees and joints that felt quite stiff after years of the back injury. Lena was super attentive, friendly and communicative. She designed a routine for us, with three times weekly partner training. After five weeks now I can say that if you give your all in the workouts, you will see quick gains with Lena. She tracks the sets and the reps, and sets up the equipment because, honestly, we are too busy catching our breath. My core and knees feels like I'm finally starting to engage them like I used to in athletics training. We are in our early forties, and Lena is giving me my fitness back, which I was struggling to do on my own. The routine is a mix of weights and core, similar to cross-fit, where Lena keeps certain exercises in the mix to preserve our strength gains from our previous trainer. If you aren't sure about form then certainly ask, she is more than ready to show you. Starting with light weights, she made sure we were always safe, and got a sense of our fitness and form. She is giving us exactly the training we asked for, and records our performance for viewing later so we can track our progress because, honestly, you will not be able to think about much in the session. She will push you hard, to make sure you put everything on the table, and you will see the gains within weeks in terms of just feeling more stable. But you will feel safe because if you aren't ready for an exercise (wobbling, trembling), she will herself simplify it so you don't hurt yourself. But of course, in some exercises your legs will shake (pistol squats). I am still holding off on running because my lower back keeps squeezing back into place as my core strengthens. You will feel the burn. You will be smashed at the end of the session. Some days you will be wiped out for the day. But for most other days you will feel a surge of energy and endorphins within 30-60 minutes after the workout. I cannot praise Lena enough, I just wish I had trained with her in 2016 so that I wouldn't have hurt myself, and kept my speed, stamina and figure. My goals are to run again and hopefully play European football (real football XD ) again at some level of competitive performance. Do yourself a favor and sign up with Lena, it is hard, but after even a few weeks you will be amazed at how quick your fitness has improved! Oh yeah, and ungodly energy, it is just fun!!! read more

I've been going to Lena for training for about 2-3 years now, both in person pre-COVID and now with virtual sessions. Lena is a fantastic trainer. I didn't do a lot of weightlifting before working with Lena, but she was able to start with the basics and build up from there. The progress I've made has been very noticeable, both with building muscle mass and also strength. I like that Lena pushes me hard and is constantly changing up the workouts so nothing is ever the same. I've been very impressed with all the different types of workouts she been able come up with even though I have a very little weights and exercise equipment at home (just a few dumbbells and some bands). I was skeptical about virtual workouts when the pandemic started, but I'm glad I tried it out as I've been getting good results despite the limited equipment. Let me start off by saying that I am probably the MOST out of shape client that Lena works with. And on top of that, I really HATE working out. I have never liked working out, but because of age and other health reasons, the hubs and I signed up for a consultation. I actually found on her on yelp and went with her because she is super close to us. One less excuse to not work out, right? Little did we know that the initial consult was an actual workout and despite me failing at everything she asked us to do, we signed up :) We have had about 15 sessions with her and let me tell you, she will WORK you, she will ask you nicely, "Again, please" but NEVER, EVER make you feel like you can't do something or that you are not meant to be a workout person. She completely customizes what is right for you, what areas you want to target, is completely aware of any injuries or soreness you may have at your sessions, and sends you the nicest texts and reminders to do workouts at home when you're not with her at the gym. She is incredibly professional, her gym is ALWAYS clean, NEVER stinky (that would make me gag and I am extremely sensitive to smell) and never holds it against you when you may have accidentally kicked her in the gut when she was trying to help you do a pull up. I can't recommend her more for anyone that is just starting out on their health journey (like myself) and working out with her has done wonders for my husband's health. His numbers came down immediately and she was exactly what we needed to start our fitness journey. AND she is SOOO flexible with your schedule. You want 5 am? She will do it. You want 8 pm? Wow! I cannot say enough about Lena! It all started in January of 2023 when I was looking for a Personal Trainer. I had consultations with various Personal Trainers in the area, and there was always a concern I had. Some did not correct my form and others did not really interact with me. First of all, I have back problems. She is always checking if my back is ok during exercises. In the past, I have had trainers that push me to the point my back gives out. After our sessions, she checks how my back is doing and offers tools that can help with my back problems. She always always corrects your form. However, that does not mean she does not challenge me in ways that make me stronger. She pushes me to do my best. Also compliments me which motivates me to do more. I actually want to do more! Also, she is very sweet and social. It is not awkward. At times our conversations distract me from the intense exercises. She is genuinely interested in what is happening in your life at the moment.
