While I agree that mindset can support recovery, I do not believe that belief alone can cure a physical condition. The procedure was a bit painful for me (I'm a wuss!) but afterwards they put some cooling fans on my face and red light treatment to help with the sensation. I used the recommended aftercare kit, a few days after the procedure my skin was no longer red and after about 5 days most of the rough patches were gone. A week later my skin is smooth, tight, lifted and my pores and fine lines are almost invisible. I think it took 10 years of aging and damage off my face, my skin is incredible and I can't remember the last time it looked like this. If you're on the fence about Tixel just do it, it's worth it! I've also gotten a facial from Teri and Dysport from Christy in the past, both were amazing experiences. Have my next facial and Dysport booked and can't wait! This time, however, made me view the salon and management differently. I showed the nail technician a photo of red chrome nails with the middle two nails having red French tips, which would be my Valentine's Day nails. She told me she could do it. I even left the photo up on my phone for some time so that she can reference it, if needed. As I saw her painting the red French tips, I informed her that they were a different shade of red from the other nails. She showed me the two products (gel and powder) and that they are the same shade number. I proceeded to let her finish as I thought that the end results may be different. It was not. She then added the "chrome" finish. I told her that it wasn't shiny at all nor looked like chrome and had a pearlescent finish instead. She told me that it was very popular with clients. She absolutely disregarded what I was saying to her. She also cut my skin while running the drill alongside my cuticles. At this point, the manager entered the conversation. I showed him the picture and he told me that the photos found online for inspiration "all have filters on them." He pretty much sided with the technician and saw no wrong. They both then told me to go wash my hands and see how the nails look in the sun. I did so and saw no difference from when I was seated at my chair. I was baffled that the manager could not see what was wrong. He did not offer to rectify the situation. I even asked for another type of coat that would make my nails shiny. They could not offer that to me for whatever reason. I clearly walked out with hideous nails. Even if I find someone who can replicate a photo here, the management alone would be reason not to go here. I paid for my service here out of respect for their time, but will not be returning and I urge others to do the same. Please see the photos I have provided.
