Never exactly what I ask for but I never wanted to sit and complain and waste time trying to get things exactly right. But I cannot be silent any longer and will no longer be coming here. I went in November for the first time in ten months for lashes. I showed her what I wanted, then I showed her what I DIDN'T want. I was told I needed the volume lashes. I don't know a thing about the different kinds of lashes so I said ok sure you're the professional. I get up to see my lashes were EXACTLY what I DIDN'T want. I do not like the fluffy look and volume is exactly that. She told me she could try to fix it. It still wasn't good because it was the total wrong type of lash (I later learned). So she told me to come back and she'll fix it when she had more time. So I went back a few days later and she completely removed the lashes and used faux mink which is what I normally use! It was much better and closer to what I asked for. But I was never refunded the price difference. I realized this and was told they wouldn't refund me the difference but would keep the credit on my account for when I went back to apply to a refill. Four weeks later I go in for a refill. I used my little coupon card I'd had for over a year because I hardly go, it was 20% off after 5 visits. They charged me 65$. Before tip. I thought it was odd because it seemed more than what it should be with my 20% AND 20$ credit. I even asked the girl if she saw the credit on my account to use and she said yes. I went home and didn't have time during the holidays to check the prices. But I did today and had to call right away. I asked what I was charged for specifically. They said 75$ faux mink refill. She told me they used 10$ credit because they no longer do 20% off after five visits, they do 10$. She never told me that when I was paying. Then she told me the 20$ credit was not used and was still on my account. She then talked to her boss, Sydney, who told her I can use it next time I go in. Um no. I won't be going in again. I talked to Sydney before my refill about being overcharged for volume/lashes I never wanted and she was the one who accredited 20$ to my account and told me to use it towards my refill. And now she changed her words and said "you can only use it with the girl who initially did your lashes". She is really trying to rip me off to spend more money there to avoid refunding me what I was overcharged. I'm REALLY not someone who complains or rants or fights for anything when it comes to business but this is insane and wrong. I'll never go back. They will be reported to the BBB and yeah just trying to warn people. PLEASE IF YOU GO HERE MAKE SURE YOU ARE BEING CHARGED THE CORRECT AMOUNT AND DON'T LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR IGNORANCE. This time, however, made me view the salon and management differently. I showed the nail technician a photo of red chrome nails with the middle two nails having red French tips, which would be my Valentine's Day nails. She told me she could do it. I even left the photo up on my phone for some time so that she can reference it, if needed. As I saw her painting the red French tips, I informed her that they were a different shade of red from the other nails. She showed me the two products (gel and powder) and that they are the same shade number. I proceeded to let her finish as I thought that the end results may be different. It was not. She then added the "chrome" finish. I told her that it wasn't shiny at all nor looked like chrome and had a pearlescent finish instead. She told me that it was very popular with clients. She absolutely disregarded what I was saying to her. She also cut my skin while running the drill alongside my cuticles. At this point, the manager entered the conversation. I showed him the picture and he told me that the photos found online for inspiration "all have filters on them." He pretty much sided with the technician and saw no wrong. They both then told me to go wash my hands and see how the nails look in the sun. I did so and saw no difference from when I was seated at my chair. I was baffled that the manager could not see what was wrong. He did not offer to rectify the situation. I even asked for another type of coat that would make my nails shiny. They could not offer that to me for whatever reason. I clearly walked out with hideous nails. Even if I find someone who can replicate a photo here, the management alone would be reason not to go here. I paid for my service here out of respect for their time, but will not be returning and I urge others to do the same. Please see the photos I have provided.
