I definitely would say I have the worst anxiety and fear of The Dentist. The Office is really easy to find with ample parking. The Office is very Clean and Inviting. Upon walking in Angel and Karen (Front Desk) are so kind, and they both have the Best Customer Service you could ask for! Dr. Hyder is the Best Dentist I've ever had. He has very Gentle hands and treats me with Respect! He listens and answers all my questions, and believe you me, I ask him a lot I would definitely recommend Dr. Hyder to anyone who has Anxiety or a Big Fear of going to the Dentist. Very bad experience where I had pain on almost every tooth Dr. Hyder worked on. The teeth ended up needing to be pulled. Feel severely taken advantage of by this practice. He said I needed all this work but went to another Dentist who said I did not need any. Beware! read more

Had the dreaded task of finding an "in network" dentist, my good fortune led me to Light Dental Studios Answered a couple of questions and they booked my first consult! Right as you entered into the practice I was greeted with big welcoming smiles. Soap you in the chair give you a cleaning and since I had a broken tooth I am thinking what's this going to cost me. After cleaning, Dr. Hyder came in and said hello and we had a nice personal chat. He let me know of a couple cavities and of course the broken crown. He came back in about 10 minutes with a break out of the costs almost down to the penny. So great to know the plan and cost ahead of time. Came back a couple of weeks later to get the replacement crown. It was easy, painless, and especially friendly. Shame I have to wait six months to see them again. First time me and my partner have been tackling understanding insurance and she walked through with me on the phone why insurance covered certain things what costs were left. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The employees here have hearing problems or are incompetent. My husband was suppose to get his chipped tooth fixed several weeks ago and I let the receptionist or whoever answered the phone know. However when he went in they said he would have not have an exam and then his next visit he would get his tooth fixed. They scheduled him two weeks out and when they left him a reminder call they told him he would be going in for a cleaning? In the initial first phone call I let them know he had already had a cleaning recently several times. Not to mention my husband himself had told them he didn't need a cleaning. In general I recommend don't come here unless they make changes to their training or get better staff. The entire staff needs hearing aids or better training truly. read more

Last week Dr. Gibran Hyder extracted some cavities and he and his assistant treated me very well, my English is bad and the assistant who also speaks Spanish translated everything for me in detail, and they were super patient and answered all my questions, I I was a little nervous but the doctor was very professional and I didn't hurt at all, which I really appreciate. I seriously recommend this dental office! Dr. Chang and his staffs are amazing! I've been coming here for a good 6 years! I'm usually really busy with work so I never have a set schedule so I would just call to set up and appointment and Linh (which is the manager/receptionist) would always try to squeeze me in. The visits are always warm and welcoming not like other dentist office I've been to where it's just strictly business. Dr. Chang's work is amazing! He's gentle when doing cleaning and fills. He's also very detail orientated He did my Invisalign a few years back and is very patient with me because I'm so picky with my teeth. I would always bother him and his staff because I would lose my retainers and they would have me come in right away to make me a new one. Dr. Chang is simply the best. We have been doing to him for the past 7+ years. We also got our extended family going to him as well. He is a fantastic dentist that is not only great with adults but excellent with kids as well. My 4 years old actually ENJOYS going to the dentist. My teeth had horrible sensitivity to cold drinks. It was due to erroded enamal from using roatery tooth brush. Dr. Chang recommended composite fillings to eliminate the pain. I had the procedure in 2011 and never had sensitive teeth since!!! read more

I have lived in Renton for several years and only came across this dentist office recently. I scheduled an appointment to be seen since I broke one of my molars. They were able to get me an appointment right away. Once I arrived the receptionist at the front desk was very nice and pleasant. I filled out a few new patient forms and was in the chair within a matter of a few minutes. The Dental Assistant Diana took a few x-rays. She was very gentle and concerned with my comfort. Diana was also very friendly and sweet. Dr. Chang came in and evaluated the tooth and x-rays. I needed a root canal and crown...just as I expected. He told me he could do the root canal right then, put a temporary filling on and order the crown. Since I was in pain I wanted to get it taken care of as soon as possible. His receptionist & Insurance Coordinator came in and explained that my insurance would cover half off the procedure and I can make payment arrangements for 2/3 of my remaining balance. I had the root canal done that evening. Dr. Chang explained the steps to me and made sure I was comfortable and not in pain during the root canal. I highly recommend this Dental Office, I have been to many other dentists and Dr. Chang and his staff were absolutely WONDERFUL! My only recommendation would be to play Warm 106.9 :) read more

Dr. Chang is the MOST honest dentist I've EVER been to! For some reason, other dentist are ALWAYS finding SOMETHING wrong with my teeth and pressures me CONSTANTLY to get it done, most of it "cosmetic". Dr. Change prices are also less than most. I had a dental implant done with Dr. Chang and saved myself over $1,000! Thank goodness that I had decided to seek a THIRD opinion (Dr. Chang's) and his price for the procedure was $1,000 less than the other two's quotes. He did a great job and explained things very well and used quality products. I've been seeking "second opinions" from him ever since for procedures that my dentist recommends that I get done. Dr. Chang lets me know which of these services are necessary, which is not necessary, what can wait, or what doesn't help as I'll have to get it done again after spending lots of money on it. He never tries to "sell" me on getting unnecessary procedures! Unfortunately, we live too far away so have to make do with my current dentist for regular procedures and only go to Dr. Change for major stuff. My family and I have been seeing Dr Chang for our cleanings for several years now. The office staff and assistants are pleasant and professional. They are wonderful with children as well. Dr Chang is very nice and as another poster mentioned, a very honest provider. I have been to other dentists who have recommended procedures that weren't necessary (including questionable "cavities"). Very easy to make an appointment and very minimal to no wait time in the waiting room. They're efficient and really know what they're doing. The office is very clean, too. Excellent, efficient dentist and superb front-desk and dental support staff. I hadn't been to a dentist in many years but Dr. Chang was recommended by a pharmacist, so I gave him a try. I wasn't disappointed. I live in West Seattle, so the location is a bit out of the way. However, he has Saturday appointments, and the location is just down the road from the IKEA in Renton (in case you're looking to make the journey from West Seattle worth it). The facility is clean in a newish building, with plenty of free parking. I also appreciate that this dentist doesn't ask personal questions. He's friendly and professional, which is all I need. By the way, since I've been seeing him, no new cavities. I should add that he doesn't upsell (try to get to engage in expensive procedures that may be of little benefit); he is honest about the pros/cons of cosmetic procedures.
