Mexico is a classic for me. I've always loved the market inside the Mayan pyramid. The decor and night market scene always had my attention. Mexico Pavilion is home to one of my favorite rides in all of Disney World: the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. Aside from that, this pavilion is unique in that it is located mostly indoors, inside a Mesoamerican pyramid. Inside, the Plaza de los Amigos marketplace recreates the feel of a moonlit Mexican town square. From the plaza, you can watch the Gran Fiesta Tour boats float by against a backdrop of a 'distant' smoking volcano and ancient ruins. A permanent art exhibit titled "'Remember Me!' - La Celebración del Día de Muertos" (Coco) and other artwork like Animales Fantásticos is neat to look at, and there are often live artists on-site--like wood carvers--creating new pieces. Mexico is one of 11 nations represented in EPCOT's World Showcase. If you are walking clockwise starting from Mexico, the pavilions order is: 1. Mexico 2. Norway 3. China 4. Germany 5. Italy 6. The United States (The American Adventure) 7. Japan 8. Morocco 9. France 10. United Kingdom 11. Canada While there are 11 today, only nine were there on opening day in 1982. So cool!!! We definitely rushed this pavilion but I wish we had more time. We didn't do any of the rides unfortunately but I would have loved to check out the los cabrerors one. The Mexico Pavilion is located in World Showcase at Disney's EPCOT. It is the first country if you go left and our favorite pavilion to visit first! I think this is one of the best pavilions at World Showcase! To start, this pavilion actually has a ride. It is located inside the temple, and is a slow moving boat road. You go through the ride with the 3 Caballeros. It also has a pretty large gift shop also inside the temple. For food, they have 2 table service restaurants, 1 quick service, 1 drink location outside that sells margaritas and a couple of snacks and then a tequila bar located inside the temple. I think this has one of the most food locations aside from France. The food locations are all very great! We have been to all of them and they are all great. You really cannot go wrong with any of them. Our favorite though, is the tequila bar, La Cava del Tequila. They have a few tables you can sit down and have a drink there but most people get their drinks to go. During festivals, Mexico always has a festival booth as well which has additional items and drinks. I love this pavilion number one because the AC is kicking! In the summer this is the best pavilion, it is so nice and cool inside. They have lots of shopping options and a ton of food and drink options. My only negative is they need more seating inside. If you head to the tequila bar and get a drink to go, then it would be nice to have some benches or small tables to sit and enjoy your cocktail. There are tables outside in the quick service, but honestly in the summer its brutal. We usually wait for a table to enjoy it inside. Overall this pavilion has a lot to offer. It has a lot of food, a ride (most of the pavilions do not have a ride), shopping and cocktails. It is nice inside, it's dark and cool. It is a great spot when the heat is really getting to you. The Mexico Pavilion is located inside the Epcot. It is part of the World Showcase, which is a section of the park dedicated to representing different countries. I am so happy that I got to experience this magical place where I felt like I was actually back in Mexico experiencing some of its culture and traditions. The Pavilion's exterior is modeled after ancient Mayan and Aztec structures, specifically the El Castillo pyramid at Chichen Itza and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl at Teotihuacan. Once you are inside, you'll find shops, restaurants (including the San Angel Inn), a bar, and carts selling Mexican crafts and goods. In the evening, the place is coverted to night time lighting and is so beautiful! You can sign up for a gentle boat ride that takes you through the sights and sounds of Mexico, featuring Donald Duck and his friends. It's really beautiful at night. While dining at San Angel, you can watch the boats float by. The entire time there is lovely Disney music playing. This was a very worthwhile experience and I would love to return again. read more

This place is so cool! When u walk up to the temple they have made u can go inside which makes u get greeted by markets inside the temple with a restaurant and water ride which u do not get wet on. It's a great place to escape the heat, eat, shop and just take it easy on a ride to pass time. It's a super cool experience. The Mexico Pavilion is built like a pyramid with beautiful Mexican architecture and features. The building itself is spectacular but the grounds and gardens around it are also quite impressive. The Mexico Pavilion is located at EPCOT in World Showcase. It is my favorite pavilion and the first one you will hit if you turn left. To start, Mexico Pavilion has a ride. It is located inside the main building, the temple you see out front. The ride is a slow moving boat ride where you travel through Mexican cities with the 3 Caballeros. The pavilion also has a pretty large gift shop with tons of options. For food, they offer 2 table service restaurants (one inside and one on the water), 1 quick service (outside), 1 drink location outside that sells margaritas and a couple of snacks and then a tequila bar located inside. This probably has the most food options out of all the countries. All of the food options are great! We have been to all of them and would recommend each one. My wife and I always make a point to visit the the tequila bar, La Cava del Tequila on every visit to the park. They have a few tables you can sit down and have a drink there but most people get their drinks to go. Side note the table service which is located outside the pavilion, is only open for dinner. I love this pavilion number one because the AC is just amazing! It is so hot especially in the summer and this has one of the best if not the best AC. It is incredibly nice and cool inside. My only negative is they need more seating inside and because of the popularity this pavilion is always crowded. If you go to the tequila bar to grab a drink, there is no where for you to sit. It would be nice to have a bench or small tables to sit and enjoy your cocktail. There are tables outside in the quick service, but honestly in the summer its really tough. As I mentioned you can sit inside and get a table, which could be wait. This is what we prefer to do. Mexico Pavilion is located in Epcot World Showcase. As soon as you walk into the Pavilion, you'll see a A pre-Colombian pyramid. When you enter the Pyramid to Plaza de Los Amigos, you'll notice a lot of Coco themed inspiration within the Pavilion. There are several gift stores, one of my favorite restaurants, San Angel Inn Restaurant, and the ride Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. This attraction features Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito. Its based on Disney's 1944 animated film The Three Caballeros. It's a slow, dark boat ride. San Angel Inn Restaurant overlooks this ride. You'll also see a beautiful Mayan pyramid in the background. The food is absolutely amazing at this restaurant. The ambiance is awesome. It reminds me of the blue bayou at Disneyland. Outside, the Mariachi Cobre performs 25-minute sets as a traditional Mariachi band. There are several dining locations such as La Hacienda de San Angel is one of the table service dining options in Epcot. Another good choice is La Cantina de San Angel. This restaurant is located outside across the pathway. It serves some delicious food such as tacos, churros, tostados, Mexican beer, and margaritas. This is one of my favorite spots to stop by in Epcot! read more

Experience Mexico without being murdered by a drug cartel! They have 2 (that's dos) excellent sit down restaurant options, a counter service spot and a dedicated margarita spot which I think also serves tacos (tacos). And during special events, there's a pop-up kiosk place that serves additional items. The have a ride which is kind of fun and low-key, but not worth waiting in any big line. The pyramid itself has some cool displays when you go in and is very Day of the Dead (Dies de los Muertos) oriented. Further in, there's a market (mercado) setup where you can get different kinds of merchandise (novelty tequila t-shirts, skulls, Mickey ears, etc.). Our neighbor to the south - well from Texas westward anyway. Lots of goodies for sale - they're definitely taking advantage of the Coco influence in awareness. Most are overpriced. Ok what here isn't right? But buying here is safer than traveling to Mexico. We thought we might find an alebrije to take home. Liked what we saw but couldn't justify the $100+ price tag. We'll just look harder when we get home. The Mexican restaurant is good with a variety of dishes on the menu. This is one of our options for dining at Epcot. read more

This is where everyone says to start drinking and eating around the world! This is where we started and I really enjoyed it! The only thing I'd say about doing this route is that you get to the French Pavilion a lot later and you might be too full/drunk by then to eat any more when the food here is SO GOOD! So beware of that! Other than that, I love the Mexico Pavilion for all that it is. Great food, great drinks, and it has a ride! Food they have both food stands outside if you don't want to go inside the building, but then they have a sit down restaurant in the nice A/C as well indoors, along with gift shops and drink stands too! Everyone says the avocado margarita here is what you HAVE to order. If you've got the time for a sit down meal too, this would be a great spot since you get quite a nice view around the "water". The Mexico Pavilion is hands down one of my favorite Pavilions in the World Showcase located at Epcot. The amount of work in detail that the Disney imagineers put into the facade and interior design of this location is exceptional and awe-inspiring. They nailed the gorgeous designs of Mexican culture. The outside of the Pavilion looks as if you are walking into a temple and once you are on the inside, you come face-to-face with Gorgeous Mexican art and culture! Further in you enter the location that is resembling a Mexican market. The location has a tequila bar, that always has a long line, a little tiny gift shop where they sell glass artwork, even a Mexican restaurant that is gorgeously themed as well. They also have a couple little kiosks that sell Mexican candy and novelties. What's even cooler about this Pavilion is they have a little water ride that takes you around "Mexico" and even tasks you with trying to help find Donald Duck as he travels around Mexico on his own! read more

Always our first stop when we come to Epcot world showcase. I love perusing the little tiendas. They have so much day of the dead stuff and coco stuff. There is a restaurant inside which overlooks the boat ride. The boat ride is a classic and has been around forever- the three amigos. Kids and adults love it. The cava del tequila is worth a stop for a Margarita or a flight of tequila! The line gets long but it moves fast. The restaurant outside the pavilion is good; it's one of the first places to open and start offering food at the showcase. They have a marimba band that comes every couple of hours. The music is fantastic. The gift shop out there is where I buy my annual Epcot food and wine plate for use on the showcase. read more

They've updated this Pavillion to include stuff from Coco and it was awesome. When you walk through you can hear music from the movie playing, which was just so much fun. Some of the outside performances include dancers who do a traditional dance and mariachis. Along with the Coco music, inside the Aztec temple there's now have a mini museum for Day of the Day (Dia de los Muertos) with lots of little exhibits and little nods to Coco. Further inside is a boat ride and a little shopping center set up just like a marketplace in Mexico with little stands and everything. It's really a lot of fun to just walk around there. It's just a little dark and hard to see sometimes because they have the light set for the restaurant further past the marketplace. That restaurant is also my favorite one at this pavillion, if not at this park. read more

Depending on where you enter the World Showcase, the Mexico pavilion will either be the first or last country you encounter. In all honesty, it doesn't really matter which it is since I feel that the pavilion is both the perfect starter *and* finisher to your World Showcase travels. Mexico is one of the only pavilions where the majority of attractions are indoors. However, the entire interior atmosphere emulates an outdoor market at night (the Plaza de los Amigos), so you really don't feel like you're in an enclosed space (you know, except for the air conditioning). The pavilion contains a lot of merchandise, a number of eateries, and a boat ride that pays homage to The Three Caballeros. One of the highlights for me is all the authentic Mexican wooden crafts that are for sale - there's a large selection and they're all hand carved and painted. While I don't feel all the pavilions in the World Showcase are created equal, I do think that Mexico is one of the stronger ones - it's easy to get lost in here and really who doesn't want a margarita at the start or end of their trip around the world? read more

This is a very pretty pavilion, the majority of which is inside (a welcome hideaway from the Orlando heat). Inside the pavilion you will find several shops and stands selling Mexican souvenirs, a restaurant, and the 3 Caballeros ride. They sure pack a lot in to the small space! The decor is very nice and feels very immersive. I haven't eaten much of their food since I am from Texas and can get Tex-Mex basically anytime I want, but the restaurants seem popular enough! read more

This is my favorite spot in Epcot. The pavilion itself is majestic and the interior truly feels like you just stepped inside the busy streets of Mexico. They have "street" vendors, a restaurant, and a boat ride that shares some of Mexico's history and culture. The boat ride is completely flat, so all ages can definitely enjoy it. read more

Love this place; my favorite part of Epcot. The food at the outdoor restaurant across from the pavilion is surprisingly good, and the margaritas are surprisingly strong. Well, they better be strong for $14, or more if you add a floater, which really cranks up the strength. Just be careful, it's easy to slam some margaritas when it's 100 degrees outside and then have a really rough evening. Inside the Pavilion, I really wish they'd give it more of a Coco vibe with characters from the movie, etc. It's such a great movie but they just briefly touch on it at the entrance with some display cases. There's a tequila bar inside that is fantastic, but be prepared for a line that is often as long as some Disney rides, and the pricing on top shelf margs shoots past the $20 mark, so it will put a nice dent in your wallet if you aren't careful. The sit down restaurant is excellent as far as Disney food goes; obviously it's not what you'd get from a great standalone restaurant in the real world, but it's honestly not bad, just typical Disney prices, but you already expected that. The Three Caballeros boat ride is fun, especially for younger kids, and given it's air conditioned the whole way, it's even better to relax on it during the hot summer. Towards the end of the ride there's even the Caballeros shooting off guns, which can add to the entertainment if you have any triggered liberals in your boat. read more

A lot of things to see, good food to eat, as Herb Alpert would say, "Tequila", several gift shops and a boat ride with Donald and the Three Caballeros. The Three Caballeros are early Disney and I remember then from the 1950's but had forgotten about them after all of these years. Interior is rather dark and at times sinister but that just adds to the atmosphere. The Donald ride is great from Kids A secondary reason for stopping in is that when it is 90+ outside, it's a cool spot to drop in and cool off a bit. In the process, you'll probably find a couple of places you will find interesting and will leave a few pesos in the process. Great place for the family read more

I feel like this is the pavilion I find myself at most; probably because it is always the first I go to and am too impatient to wait for food/drinks any longer. Also, queso and margaritas, DUH. The Mexico Pavilion is very cute and has lots of culture to it. I love going to the quick service restaurant and grabbing some of their nachos, along with a delish margarita. I've dined in San Angel once, which was inside the pyramid, and I loved it! They also have little shops on the inside as well, along with the awesome Three Amigos ride! You can meet Donald here and he will wear a sombrero. How could it get better than that? read more

This was my second time at the Mexico Pavilion. It hasn't changed much since my first visit in 1994, and still one of my favorite countries in the World Showcase at Epcot. There is much to see and do as you wander inside the huge Mayan pyramid. You actually feel as if you are outdoors in a great market place under a starry night. An active volcano can be seen in the distance and erupts every so often causing a fiery glow in the sky. The village windows are lit as well as the vendor booths, giving off a cozy. romantic atmosphere throughout the spacious building. There are many souvenirs to be found, tequila bars, restaurants and a cute boat ride called the "Gran Fiesta Tour" featuring animated cartoon characters "The Three Caballeros" as they sing catchy tunes and guide you through the boat tour. The largest of the restaurants called the "San Angel Inn" is centered in the town where you dine under an evening sky. The wait staff is dressed in Mexican garb while you get authentic Mexican food, premium tequilas, great views of a distant Mayan temple, an active volcano and people leisurely gliding along in boats through the nearby surrounding river. All of which is expertly designed to appear realistic in every detail. (Of course the food and drinks are already real) LOL! Outside the pyramid are additional Mexican eateries, tequila bars, shops and occasional Mexican entertainment from Mariachis, musical trios and dancers. The Mexico experience is colorful, visually appealing, and just plain fun! Inside the pyramid shales pavilion there are souvenirs, a tequila tasting bar and a ride. Outside is a quick service food place and margarita stand. The tequila bar gets a line early, so be ready to wait if you want to do that. The shopping area is pretty open and has a huge mix of things from disney collectibles to standard Mexican items like Sombreros. It's not the most elaborate pavilion space, but it delivers on the vibe and findings one would expect! Overall: A- Not my fave pavilion but fun to see! read more
