I am still very new to North Carolina and was in search of a bakery in the Snow Hill area. Low and…read morebehold on the outskirts of the country ! The Farmer and The Dail came highly recommended for their delicious baked goods and southern breakfast. My family lives in the area and gave the 2 thumbs up. I placed an online order for a birthday cake to celebrate my mom's 70th. We visited today after noon and jumped in line to place our brunch order and pick up the cake. We decided on the FATD breakfast bowl that comes with hash browns, a biscuit, grits and bacon. I have been wanting to try their famous biscuit bombs. I decided on the bacon bomb. I have never had a biscuit so pillowy soft and delicious! This place is perfection ! My mom's birthday cake was also equally as delicious. She enjoyed how light and airy the cake was, how decadent the frosting was. How beautifully decorated ! We will be regulars here when in the area visiting loved ones. Thank you for making a memorable birthday by putting love in your recipes.

I was shocked at how flavorless the whole thing was. Why am I still giving this place 4 stars you ask? My girlfriend had the chicken minis which were delicious because the biscuits were seasoned and the chicken was perfectly cooked. There were so many baked goods on display that all looked amazing and their regular menu looks super promising. The environment is super welcoming and there is a huge sunflower field outside for photo opps. So 4 stars for potential. I will be back to try once again, just never on a Sunday.

Although the space is tiny, the desserts and cocktails more than make up for the line out front, and the noisy nature of downtown locations! There were 4 of us and we enjoyed the strawberry pretzel pie, derby pie, ice cream, coffee, and old fashioned. First of all, AMAZING cocktails- and an epic list of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! They said that these were definitely in the top three beverages they had ever had! This hole in the wall had a bridal party, some goth appearing folks, and suits too. In short, no matter what you like to drink, what you enjoy eating for dessert, you will find it here!

We were in town recently for a sporting event and decided to pick up a pizza after. I called ahead…read moreat like 5 p.m. and was told there was at least an hour wait. I mean, it was a Saturday - so - okay, but 5 p.m. is so early to be on that kind of wait already! We ordered a medium pie and the garlic knots. Even coming in after the hour wait, our order still wasn't ready and we waited for probably another 15-20 in the restaurant before it was done. At this point, I'm expecting this pizza must be better than anything else I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, not so much. The pizza was huge - I give it that. A medium was more like a large/extra large at other places. It's not the best NY style pizza I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst. The garlic knots were interesting -- VERY heavy on the butter/garlic topping stuff - so much so it cakes the bottom of the pan. I can see why that would appeal to a lot of folks, but for me and my kids, we found it to sort of just make the knots soggy and mushy instead of that nice balance of dough crisp bread and flavor. Overall, probably on the 3 1/2 star scale for me with the wait/service issues and mostly average flavor.

Divine food, for sure it's the best pizza I've ever had, hands down. Very friendly staff, always…read morewelcoming. They never fail to deliver, literally.. no pun intended. If you haven't gone yet, what are you waiting for?

As for the pie, we were unfortunately disappointed. The sweet potato pie made my stomach hurt and was not savory. The apple pie definitely needed to be warmed up, and they should have a microwave in the truck for that option. And the chocolate and peanut butter pie was okay, but the crust was not cooked. The price was way too high!! $8.00 per slice and then it felt like she expected a tip. I tipped, but was uncomfortable because what additional service was she providing? There should not have been a tip option. I wanted to like the place-- drove past several times and was interested. We won't be back. Max $4.50 per slice, but $8.00 per slice was completely unreasonable. As for the ambiance...well, it was the side of the road food truck and I guess they could've placed a couple benches out of people wanted to sit outside vs their car. One thing I really thought was strange is she didn't even know when the state fair was, and that was their main advertised accomplishment.
