No longer an implement of fiery death. Now it's just a regular old light fixture.

My house is trying to kill my in-laws. Attempt #1 Gigantic mirror above the fireplace commits hari-kari on to the living room floor and misses my father-in-law by inches. Attempt #2 A bulb in the kitchen light fixture breaks, messes up the socket and suddenly shoots a spear of flame at my mother-in-law. She screams and ducks out of the way leaving our bar stool to take the hit. Attempt #3 The shower/tub combo conspires to entice my father-in-law to lean just a little... bit... further.....He slipped launching himself half out of the shower and hit the top of the toilet tank so hard with his head that he broke it in half. After many weeks and several discussions I think we've convinced them that we had nothing to do with these attempts on their lives. We love them and are happy to have them stay here. We've gotten the mirror and toilet fixed but weren't sure where to take the lamp. Well Hoooray for Yelp. Read the great reviews for Lighting World and took it there. No more deadly spears of fire. The in-laws however have decided they're not risking it. We're going to their house for Christmas. It'll give our house some more time to come up with Attempt #4.

Nice lighting store with a great salesperson by the name of Chris. Chris was very helpful and patient with my boyfriend and I. He explained all the different types of crystal chandeliers to us and even recommended a close by location with more crystal items in stock. Also, he explained to us about cleaning charities m chandeliers and informed us that they offer an in home cleaning service. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because they don't have a big selection to choose from and they lack modern pieces.

    This chandelier was fix

The was really professional to fix my chandelier kind and did it on time I definitely will be back to work with them for the next time thanks

I have been here many times over the last 20 years, buying shades and having custom ones made. The woman who helped me, (I think her name is Agnes) is very knowledgeable and on this visit helped me quickly pick out a perfect shape for my antique lamp. She asked if I wanted the lamp rewired, since it's over 50 years old. I said yes. She said if I could wait 15 minutes they could do it now. I didn't have time to wait, so said I'd return that afternoon. The man who works with her and does repairs came out of the back room, looked at the lamp. He mumbled a price as I turned to leave, and I heard him say "five." I missed the first number since I didn't have my hearing aids in at the time. I thought the first number was a "2." $25 bucks would seem a fair price for the simple repair. (see photo) $35 would be ok for the convenience. When I returned that afternoon, Agnes handed me the bill. The charge for rewiring was $75. The cost of the shade was $58.85. I told Agnes I thought that was excessive. She said I gave them a verbal OK for the repair. I said I didn't have my hearing aids in and had I heard him say $75 I would have declined the rewire. This was not a difficult job. I told her I could do it myself. I've re-wired a lot of lamps, installed fixtures, ceiling fans and re-wired parts of my house. I know the 6 feet of new zip cord sells for $.25 a foot. The replacement socket he installed (not a 3-way) costs no more than $2.00. The male plug he installed sells for $1.03. Let's say you could easily get the parts for under $5.00. So, that leaves $70 for labor of 15 minutes tops. That's $280 an hour. I didn't have time to argue with her, and Agnes held her ground that I had agreed to that amount. I told her that while I did nod, it still was excessive. I gave her my credit card. I don't know if Agnes was embarrassed, but she didn't look at me as I picked up the lamp and walked out. I won't be walking back in again.

Seamless operation…read more I wanted to upgrade my 25+ yr old electric slide in range and over the range microwave. To be fair, I went in pretty much knowing what I wanted after agonizing over Consumer Reports and online reviews. Waadt was the third appliance store I visited. Prices were consistent across the board. Most places didn't have demo electric ranges in store since it's low in demand, but they can order anything and seem to have direct contact with vendors. I wasn't in a hurry, so I placed my order with Bill on 2/13/26. He called me on 2/24/26 to let me know my appliances had arrived, process payment and we scheduled install for 2/26/26. I was given an install window of 9:30-11:30AM and they showed up around 10:00AM. The install guys were great. There was of course a problem, as my current range was hardwired to the electrical and there was no outlet for the new one. They said no problem, ran to the hardware store, bought the necessary supplies, installed the outlet and had me up and running. This is exactly why I didn't go with a big box store. Bill let me know his installers were equipped to handle any surprises and they were. Big box stores will only plug it in and leave. Any problems you're on your own to solve. Install prices, with the addition of an outlet, were reasonable. Would I use Waadt again? Definitely!

I highly recommend the experience from product information to purchase to installation. Product Info and Discovery: I was surprised to learn that not all Sub-Zero retailers are the same. Given that we already had a Sub-Zero and were replacing it after more than 30 years of usage, we started our process at the Sub-Zero showroom in Costa Mesa. This location was purely informational, as they don't sell at that location, but we were able to see and compare every unit. We visited a Ferguson Home but was disappointed at not being able to see the unit we were looking to purchase and because the salesperson was not fully aware of all the features of the model. We ultimately purchased from UAKC because the units were were interested were not just side by side, but powered on to the same level of coldness that you would have in your home. That was huge for us as it helped us understand how cold our drinks would be and how cold our foods would be chilled in each compartment. Purchase: I worked with MD Rayhan on the purchase process. MD was helpful in providing "crowd sourced" feedback from his other customers to help me choose between the Pro and Classic models. Specifically, I wanted to understand if the Pro freezer was going to be too small (it runs about 50% smaller than my prior Classic freezer) or if it was simply moving along with the consumer trend toward more fresh foods. Given that Sub-Zero pricing is fixed regardless of retailer, MD helped me find manufacture rebates that I qualified for and was market competitive on installation costs. Lastly, MD helped find inventory and schedule my delivery so that I could get the new unit installed as soon as possible. Installation: UAKC sent a four person team of certified installers led by Juan and Alex. The certified expertise was helpful because it got us a longer 3 year warranty, but the expertise around the equipment was also invaluable. From unboxing the unit on our driveway to carrying the 650 pound unit up a few stairs, removing a door and leaning the unit through our doorway, everything was done professionally, cleanly and with no scratches to home or refrigerator. They even polished the unit and removed all the plastic film covering the stainless steel panels so that the refrigerator was ready to be used. The entire process took about two hours. Couldn't ask for more.

What stood out most is that they stepped in without any guarantee it would result in a sale--they simply wanted to help. That level of genuine care and professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated. I already wanted to purchase from them, but after this experience, I'm even more confident in that decision. Their service made a stressful situation so much easier, and it's the kind of experience that builds long-term loyalty. I absolutely plan to make future purchases with them. The product did not arrive in retail packaging so it was really tough to know which was what. I had to take everything back to the showroom and my rep set down and wrote on each and every single piece what it was. Turned out that I've ended up ordering a few things wrong and needed to return them...Now, returning items is even a bigger headache..,you have to get a shipping label from them and start shipping different things back to their different locations. That was not acceptable to me so I returned the product back to the showroom and ask my rep to take care of the returns for me. It took over 3 weeks for me to receive the refunds which was pretty upsetting. In the meantime, I've checked with a different national distributor the prices on everything I've purchased and it turned out that I've paid about $2000 too much in comparison to what it would have cost me had I've purchased the same product from them. Needless to say: Very bad system, extremely over priced, and I will not be buying here again.
