Lovely people who are fair-priced, helpful and prompt. I have a floor lamp which I'd repaired badly. They worked, but when one of the two sockets went out, I decided it would be easier to bring in than for me to repair badly, yet again. For forty bucks they replaced both socket, cleaned the lamp and did it the same day. I have lived in the neighborhood for as long as they've been there. It is so nice to have a neighborhood store that is so good in every way. I will never fix a lamp again. read more

Great store and with excellent customer service!! We started to remodel our home and needed new chandeliers and I stumbled upon this gem. I walked in gave a description of what I had in mind. He recommended certain brands that he thought were of great quality. I trusted him and ordered 3 chandeliers. The ordering process and installation was on time and hassle-free.He arrived at my home to install the chandeliers and came across a issue with my electrical which he offered to fix free of charge. Very professional and clean work. Highly recommend them. I myself am very picky and would pay for a better service however they were inexpensive and great. read more

My grandma has these antique lamps that she uses daily. One day they stopped working. She feared that they would be a bunch to fix because they are about 100 years old. So, I called over and a women answered the phone. I asked her how much it would be, and she told me she would have to see it, in an annoyed voice. I am trying to find out for my grandma so I asked her "ON AVERAGE what would it normally cost" just so we can get an idea because I dont know anything about lamps and we dont want to drive to sherman oaks for something we can't afford. she kinda just yelled at me without listening to my question. I felt very uncomfortable but Regardless I went in because it was closest to my house. (10 miles) As I walked in the gentleman helped me carry the lamp which was very nice. We asked him how much it would be, and it wasn't very much. He let us know we had different options and when can pick it up when we are ready. I gave them three stars because the man was very nice. The woman didn't acknowledge we were there, and continued to have a conversation with this women the whole time we were there. I don't speak Armenian, maybe it was on business, but I doubt it. read more

Really fine experience. One of my oldest and most favorite table lamps had developed rotting wires and smoking insulation. This was scary, and tho i tried fixing it myself, i realized that the job needed a PRO. I called Lighting World; spoke with Alex, who told me that he could do the job, gave me a ballpark quote and said he could do the job in 2 days. So i brought it in. Since i needed a lamp in the meantime, a asked him to either quote me on a rush job or sell me a cheap lamp to use in the meantime. He chose to do the rush job for a very reasonable price, and i had my lamp back, fixed perfectly, in just a couple of hours. All of this on a Saturday too. He showed me LED options, but didn't try to hard-sell me, so i'm certain i'll be returning to upgrade my lighting. Also and even more awesome, i saw that the store has lots of nice and different kind of lamps. I'd rate it TEN if i could!! Kudos! read more

Love this place! Agnes greeted me with a friendly smile and I knew that I was in the right place. I described what I wanted and she showed me several items in the store, then pulled out 4 catalogs of the type of lanterns that I was interested in. After getting a general idea of what I wanted, I went home, checked their Internet site and found the perfect light. I put in my order and one week later the lanterns were delivered. She even let me borrow a sample base to make sure that what I ordered would fit my post. I recommend shopping here because of the great selection and the personal service you'll receive. I love this place. Next time you need a lamp, skip Target and come here. Their selection is huge. I've brought a couple of really old lamps here to be refurbished/restored and the people are helpful and work fast. One lamp was in horrible shape and they made it look like new for a reasonable price. If you see a shade shape you like but they don't have the fabric you like, they'll make a new shade to your specifications. They can also make a shade out of fabric that you bring in! This is a small, family-owned business, which is just another reason to support this place. read more

So, my living room halogen floor lamp dies on me 2 days ago & instead of looking on EBay (where I got the lamp for $40, & yes I did look, but can only find similar ones now for $50-$99) my wife suggests looking on Yelp, where I found great reviews for Lighting World. So I called to make sure they repair halogens & brought it in to take a look at and how much $$$ but didn't want to spend more money fixing the thing than what I paid for it. To my surprise, the guy said $20 bucks or so, & he can fix it on the spot, so I waited & 10-20 mins later it was fixed & works like new!! I'm totally happy that I didn't have to shell out a lot of dough to get it fixed, nor did I have to buy a new lamp! & the guy (owner?) is very friendly & helpful! I would recommend anyone needing a lamp or chandelier ( they have nice ones, but kinda pricey, maybe if I owned a home ) to go here, especially if you need one fixed! read more
