I broke my lamp' s neck! By accident, her neck was separated from the base. I tried to screw her back together to no avail. I stopped by Light Bulbs & More yesterday, on the spot, within 2 minutes, her neck was reattached to her base. The price for this service, nothing! Many of you might say, "It was no big deal; it shouldn't have cost anything." Well ladies and gents, listen to this. I went to Light Bulbs Unlimited on Wilshire in Santa Moncia, and I was told it would cost $50.00 and it would take two weeks! Not only did Light Bulbs & More charge nothing, but they also wouldn't take a tip. I bought a four pack of light bulbs that cost around $7.00 and I paid with a twenty-dollar bill and told them to keep the change. Graciously they refused. About a week ago, I had scratched the side of my car while driving somewhere. When Sam saw the scratch, he immediately offered to fix it and said, "Do you want me to fix that now?" Supposedly an "official" Artemide repair shop (a high end lighting company). I took my floor lamp there in April and they kept it without doing anything until October. When I went to pick it up, expecting it to be repaired, they said that I was supposed to provide the REPAIR PARTS! After arguing with me, the owner said he would have it done in a few days. Cost $45. The next day I got a text, it's ready. At the store, the lamp was covered in dust from the 6 months it was sitting there and I was given the bill of $60. When I protested, the owner shouted at me to just take it and not pay. I insisted on paying $40 (Less$5 for the aggravation and lie). I put it in the car and when I got it in the house, the shade fell off and, well see the pix below- he put some kind of glue/cement on the delicate spokes, and it's pretty much ruined. read more

Smiles. And Lies. Called this place looking for a specific LED tube. Talked to Sia, who told me,"Yes, we have that in stock." Lie#1. I wanted to be sure, so I called back a few minutes later, after I'd already put in a large order, so I asked again about that specific item. "I'm already putting it on will-call for you." Lie#2. Apparently, Sia then ACTUALLY CHECKED STOCK and found that they DIDN'T have ANY of that item, so he called back and left a message, which I didn't get until later. How much later? After I'd already driven TWENTY MILES ACROSS TOWN to their little hole in the wall and found out the TRUTH. Luckily, I did find the item from another vendor - one that told the truth, ACTUALLY checked stock, etc. But it was ANOTHER 20 MILES THE OTHER WAY! Should be called "Lies, Bulbs and More". read more

I purchased a vintage chandelier from Serbia on Etsy, and wanted to make sure the electrical was up to current safety standards so took it to get it rewired (I had an unrelated electrical fire in my past, so this is very important to me). The gentleman who helped me was kind, extremely helpful, and took great care with my light. He also explained the work to me in an easy to understand way since I have very little (actually zero) electrical experience. The work was done quickly (1-week), and they were able to lengthen the chain and replace some parts to make it fit in my space. 4.5 stars sounds about right. Only been once, and that was very positive. Actually, had to zip back right after my trip here as I needed a different bulb. I picked up three different types of bulbs. Bottom line: They had what I was looking for. They KNEW where their stuff was, and they knew pretty much what my options were in terms of high end vs low end. I think light bulbs are one of those things that are easily forgotten...until you really need 'em. And, while LB&M is not exactly around the corner, it's pretty easy to get to, and close enough to merit a trip. I have honestly been frustrated with bigger name chains or even other Mom n Pop shops that focus on either too many things, or just don't have a big selection. As the reviews I saw here attest, this place is really good, and they will probably have what you want. read more

I would give more stars! The broken light bulb socket got stuck in the light bulb socket after my table lamp fell. It came off when I yanked the plastic bulb out. A friend tried needle nosed pliers which made the problem worse. The lamp socket got bent and the metal bulb socket was stuck. I took my table lamp to Light Bulbs and More and Elias said the socket was damaged. But, he used pliers to unscrew and the light socket came out! He bent the lamp socket a bit with the pliers and put a bulb in and it worked! I wanted to pay something. Elias said, "No charge." I held money out and he again said no.
