Excellent, fast service. I was in a bind last week and needed to make photo copies ASAP. Well, I ran over to the UPS location on 43rd & Lexington Ave and their copy machine needed to get serviced. OMG! And then after doing a Google search for copying/printing shops in the area this place was the first location to pop up from my search list and it had great reviews too. I went in and was immediately asked if I could be helped. The space is small. But, it didn't matter because I handed over my flash drive and after a few replies to emails I was getting my photocopies, paying and gone. If I'm ever in the area again and need photocopies, I'll be sure to stop in here. They are quick, professional, and reasonably priced. read more

I am SO grateful for Lightning Copy Center, and Greg in particular. I was half an hour early for an interview, just when I realized I completely forgot to bring my resume.. I completely panicked and yelped somewhere I can print. Got Lightning Copy Center as a top result, so with basically no time to waste, I dashed off to find this place. Not easy to find, but I got there. Greg was in a hurry himself and originally said no, but in the end he decided to help me (THANK YOU) and even printed four copies on proper thick resume paper. When I asked how much it cost, he said he'll print for free. I am soooo unbelievably grateful for him and if I have anything to mass-print, I will DEFINITELY come back here. read more

This is a VERY SMALL operation, but because of that they treat you, their customer like gold. Our first experience we gave them a hefty job, and asked a lot of questions on how best to proceed. They were incredibly helpful, fast and inexpensive. Ignore the 1 star reviews. This is not a Kinko's. This is a mom-and-pop shop that does great print work. I went there to get some business inserts for the holiday cards. I went early on a weds and Greg said that they would be done later that day. I came not ready. He said they will be ready tommorow. I go back the next day and next day and not ready. I had to have them mailed out by Friday at 400 but when I went he said 430 so didn't get them until Monday. Jordan is AMAZING!!! My daughter got into a huge pinch - was on a train coming into Grand Central -- arriving within a half hour -- and needed resumes printed NOW. We quickly made some phone calls, connected with Jordan, emailed him a file and he HAD THEM WAITING FOR HER by the time she stopped by!!!! There are NO words for THAT kind of customer service!!!!!! I work in the area and have found my go to printing center. Staples gave me a price quote of $144. Lightning Copy Center: $27.00. This was just standard black and white copies so I have no idea what there pricing is for more involved projects, but I have a pretty good idea that they will price significantly under Staples or Fed Ex. As someone who works at a small up-start, this is massively helpful! read more

I needed to address all of my wedding invitation envelopes (about 100) and dreaded writing them by hand. I called Lightning Copy Center and it was a very simple process. I emailed them the names and addresses in a spreadsheet and sent a picture of the return address to match the font. They sent me back a pdf proof for all the envelopes and once I approved, they were printed in one day. The envelopes looked perfect, the font matched exactly, and they didn't waste a single envelope (though I did have extras just in case)! Great service, very professional and a reasonable rate as well. I'm glad I found this shop and will come back with future print jobs. read more

This place is ridiculous. I came in to print my 1-page boarding pass, and the total comes to $2.40. The guy gave me some lame excuse about how everytime he opens a jpeg file off a flash drive it takes him extra time or something. What a rip off. read more

This place is fast and reasonably priced (though still delivered our rush job a day late). The printing quality is fine though I can't say the same about the other aspects. Service was not great and the staff had a very snotty attitude - basically he was acting like he was the expert though he couldn't print the way we wanted (we were printing double-sided and the two sides need to align; there was an obvious shift but he couldn't fix it and would let us step in). Also, when the staff cut the finished products into our desired size, he did a shoddy job as well. My advice - if you just have something simple to print, this place is sufficient and ok, but if you have something more complicated, please go to a more "professional" place because otherwise all you get is amateurish products and bad attitude. read more

Wow. Yelp really steered me wrong with this place. I came here based on their 4 star rating and because they were cheap. The latter may be true, but I would much rather go elsewhere and pay more than to endure the horribleness that is Lightning Copy. I told Greg that I would come in by 5PM to pick up by $200+ order and he said he would call me if anything changes. He has the nerve to say "Oh I was just about to call you" when I walk in at 5 and find out that my order has not been completed. He tells me to kill some time. (mind you I came in from queens just for this, which he was fully aware of.) I bite my tongue and tell him i'll be back in 2 hours. I come back in 2 hours.... the order is still incomplete. I then waited another 30 minutes for my order and finally leave. I get home, open the boxes and find out that I am missing an entire order!!!!! Apparently my business is not as important to them because he apologized about the delay saying that he was really under pressure with a lot of other orders. I gave them ample time to fill my order. I had to hassle them to get back to me on things like quotes and pick up time, etc, etc. They made me wait. To top it off, they didn't even fill my order correctly. Word of advice: I wouldn't ever trust this place with things like resumes, wedding invites, business documents, school related things....so... you get the point. I should have known when I walked into the cramped, disgustingly unorganized hole-in-the-wall that looked like it barfed up papers and dust. It is no wonder that my order was not filled correctly. I saw a sign amidst the squalor of the shop saying "find us on Yelp," and so here I am on Yelp--giving my fellow New Yorker's fair warning about this business. read more

The owner mentioned Yelp to me, so I figured I may as well leave a review. I did not find the price to be reasonable, considering all I wanted was black and white copies. It was considered a "rush" job, which I suppose is somewhat fair given that I needed the copies in 2 hours, however, the job could not have taken more than 20 minutes to complete. I was initially told it would take 2 hours; when I blanched, he knocked it down to 30 minutes. When I mentioned that the prices indicated on the website seemed much lower than what I was being charged, he said that the price was increased (to 4 times the amount) because it was a "rush" job. Went there twice to print out some documents (around 20 pages) and was told each time to wait for someone, since the people behind the desk apparently weren't able to do a simple black and white print-out. I wish I could say that my experience at Lightning Copy Center remotely resembled that of the other reviewer here on Yelp. I went there in order to have a color adjustment done on my business cards; I had had several printing snafus with an online company, the results of which were quite off-base. Lightning Copy assured me that they would quickly and easily fix the color so it would print out right. What then ensued was sloppy work, lies, and more excuses than I care to go into. They were going to charge me five times what I had paid for the first botched job I ordered online, and believe it or not, their work was even lousier. After three rounds of proofs (and luckily not paying a penny), I walked. The whole point of going to a shop like this is for personal attention and quality work. Instead, I was treated with disrespect, and my time was wasted as their proofs went from bad to worse to downright ridiculous. I strongly urge you to keep searching for a company that truly cares about customer service. It ain't here, friends. read more

I just wanted to thank the Gary and the guys at Lightning Copy for helping out with Christmas envelopes this year. We called them in the afternoon of the day before Thanksgiving to ask for very unique and specific printing need, and they assessed our situation (urgent need for duplicating a unique font that we did not know the name of, and printing return addressed on the back flap of time-sensitive Holiday envelopes, within one day) professionally. We were told the order could be completed within the day, as a "super rush" and were called back 3 hours later to pick up. Even with the extremely urgent nature, the job was done properly and very much to our standards. Neither Kinkos, nor Fedex were able to print in this fashion...and we were impressed that Gary and his team could handle the specific nature of our request with such a quick turnaround on a busy afternoon before a major holiday. This place is a hidden jewel! I needed 1,000 full color brochures printed - on the 4th of July weekend. Greg called me back promptly and got the job done by Monday morning. He also beat everyone else's prices hands-down. The printing quality was great, it was delivered to the hotel where I needed it, at the time I needed it. Excellent place to have print service done!! Did a Yelp search because I was in need of print service for my Save The Date invitations. So about two weeks ago I walked over with a hard copy of the invite and card stock. Jordan was the absolute best. He told me to convert my work over to PDF and send the electronic copy when I was ready to have the print work done. Fast forward to yesterday 9/6/2017, emailed the PDF version of the invite, walked over with my card stock in hand. Spoke with Jordan and to be sure that the work was lined up and to my satisfaction, he actually did a test copy first. I dropped everything off around 1:30 pm or so. Received an email at 4:20 pm or so that the test copy was done. I walked over, and it was perfect! So he proceeded with my print order and said it should be done tomorrow. SCORE!!! That was the best part. Received an email around 11:20 am today that my order was ready. Outstanding print service and I couldn't be more happier. Thank you Jordan!! read more
