DO NOT use UWS Copy - under any circumstances. I left very clear written instructions for my copy job and they stated that they understood. On pickup, they had used the WRONG paper and acknowledged their mistake. The owner/ manager then tried to charge me for their mistake, or offered to re-do my copy job and follow my clear written directions, but charge me DOUBLE the price. Once again, DO NOT use UWS Copy. Totally DISHONEST, zero quality control, and they will try and RIP YOU OFF. Rated ZERO stars. read more

I was initially going to have an urgent job done by Staples since they had a good online interface to submit the job and a same-day pick-up promise. When I realized Staples couldn't deliver on time, I panicked and called UWS Copy. What they lack in terms of automated online interface they more than make up for with customer service. They quickly reviewed my file, made sure we were on the same page on how the final product would look, and got it done in two hours. Quality was awesome and price was great. The staff at UWS copy did an excellent job printing three copies of my dissertation (a 160 page document) on special paper, which I brought in myself. They were friendly and very detail- oriented; there was a special watermark on the paper and he was exceptionally careful in printing on the correct side for me. Also he was able to print three copies without printer error - and FAST! I was in and out in ten minutes. I'm so relieved I found this store, as other printing stores in the neighborhood had royally messed up this printing job for me earlier in the day. Not good. They have a minimum charge of 2$, not matter how many pages did you print. I printed only 2 and they charged me for 2$, which is overpriced. Good luck, I won't be there. read more

TL;DR: Very helpful and nice people and doing good work People who work here are very helpful and patient, maybe one of the best I've seen in customer service at a shop I was in a rush for getting something printed and bound. The design I had wasn't perfect, and was going to vary based on the options available for printing: paper thickness, kind of printing, etc. Even though the place was continuously busy, they gave us enough time, attention, and assistance from time to time to help us out. They got us samples for the paper, showed us different kinds of books we could make, ideas for how we can design what we wanted to print They have free WiFi to use for sending them the material, but they also gave us their thumb-drive to copy our pdf into, to get it printed sooner Since we were unsure how the final print would look like, they themselves printed a sample first page, and showed it to us. They didn't charge us for the sample page they printed Anyway, we notice that the images we wanted to be full-bleed had white borders because of printer limitations. So, they offer to cut those white borders out of the paper for us, and again, they don't charge us for that service Great work + great customer service: What else would you want, right? read more

I had a really large job, on huge and heavy 11x17 card stock. The printed program was for a very famous person and I was given extremely short notice to put it together. Chinu saved my life! She worked and worked to make sure my document was printing properly. I was utterly clueless about what it takes to measure, mark, score and staple a three page program on card stock, and because time was running out, she showed me how to do it so there were more hands on board. It's not as simple as you might think. She was supposed to leave at 3pm but stayed until 5:30pm to make sure the printing was done that day so folding and stapling could get done in time. When I first arrived at the shop I was in a frantic panic, but Chinu was so nice and calm and reassuring. Really, she prevented me from stroking out. The programs looked amazing and were finished on time. The VIP for whom the programs were made was beyond impressed with the paper/printing. I can't thank Chinu enough!
