[[HIGHLIGHT]]I am finally giving 5 stars to this place due to David who helped me out today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I come here all the time being the best regular client here since I love my car to be nice and clean daily nonstop. Cars need to be clean daily like humans lol. Since that particular last unpleasant encounter here, I still come here to get my car wash to see if they have improved. It's been better. I notice morning times are the best services ever due to older staff and young staff being more attentive and accommodating. When it's later in the day after 5pm is when they were under staffed which should be at least 3 staff working at each 3 major stations. 1. The station where the cars first enter to see license plate. 2. At the computer to go through the wash thru. 3. In the office. Having only 2 staff is just not enough unless each 2 staff are so efficient and so attentive not missing a beat to the 3 stations I stated above. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today I had the chance to meet their new manager, David. Nice guy who was polite to me and accommodating. He apologized for last particular encounter and I appreciate that about him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just glad you guys are improving. But I'm sure this company is rich (having an accounting office in Beverly Hills) so it wouldn't hurt to have at least 3 staff members at each 3 stations working. So no customers including myself won't ever feel helpless like I felt the last particular encounter because there was no staff helping me at all at the entrance etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Customer service is everything to me and I'm sure to many people of customers out there as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I for one am #1 in customer service, being my service is always top notch that all my old and new clients are so attached to me. Boy do I have great stories lol. That's why when I go places, if I see any customer service that suck, it's very disappointing. But when I see any customer service that is great and even impressive, it's so refreshing. I'm a fan of this location simply because of its proximity to main streets, shopping and gas stations...which makes it very convenient when I've got a small list of errands. Convinced the music is loud and obnoxious as a way to hurry patrons along. At least that's the case for me - the music is so loud I'd much rather have ear plugs than a microfiber cloth. Seriously, I feel for the folks who live in the area - it can't be pleasant to have to listen to that music blaring for 8+ hours a day, every day. Yikes! Great vacuum suction, plenty of trash cans and I love when there's an attendant at the pay stations, it makes the process go by much faster. Not great are the soap and/or water systems. Seems this visit, soap was not dispensed from the first third of the soap arch. The intense water spray helped but the entire back side of my car was dirty. Perhaps something could be adjusted or maybe I should get the attention of a manager next time. Convenient, yes. Thorough, not exactly. read more

What may irk someone about Lightning is that the website boasts a $6 car wash. This is fake news. The website is antiquated with prices from years past. The lowest tier wash here is $9, and the best bang for your buck is likely the second tier at $11. Prices have increased without a concomitant improvement in wash performance. If you ever mention the disparity between the prices advertised and the actual prices, staff only nonchalantly apologizes that "the website is out-of-date." Lightning Express is a pretty standard car wash, and decently priced! I usually get the $11 car wash, just for a tiny bit extra for my car. It has probably about 12 parking spots to vacuum your car. Just went to try this carwash during my lunch break for a quick wash paid for the $11 thunder car wash. Well definitely not what i was expecting as for a wash. My car was still filthy the back window was like it was barely touched by any water at the least ! Lots of spots that i could easily rub off with my finger were left all over the car and lots of scratches on my vehicle :( only good thing was the air pressure thats available helped clean the sand out of my car my kids left behind after a day at the beach. I rarely wash my car. I mean, I know I should, but I have an old, used car that I bought off my dad. It has a bunch of scratches and dents, and so I don't feel the need to keep it clean and show it off. However, on this particular day, I felt like it was time to give my car a wash. It had definitely been a hot minute. I get the most expensive one, probably premium, and when I drove my car out and started to vacuum (FYI free vacuum after the wash!), you could see the silver rims on my tires. I haven't see that color in ages lol. My rims have been grey/brown and dirtaaay for the longest time. Even with one wash, it cleaned off that grime. I will definitely be back. I love this car wash! It's fast, cheap and perfect if you just need the outside cleaned. Which I like to do once a week. They also have spaces and vacuums for you to use if you want to clean the inside of the care yourself. I get the $6 wash which is great to freshen up the exterior between regular, full service, washes that just take so long. Considering I'm paying almost $15 more for my same "level" of wash compared to my old go to spot only problem is this is closer as I no longer work in Huntington Beach and wanted a similar drive through car wash with free vacuums and quality cleaning. THANKFULLY....my car wasn't damaged by their machine but I paid for the top tier membership for a month due to the promo, legit took my car through 2x since it didn't fully clean the first time My car wasn't even filthy and it still kinda left some unwashed aspects. After my first month definitely plan to cancel. If you are big on cleaning your car like daily maybe this is for you.... But honestly one time washes seem pointless here as the car won't be cleaned with one wash it seems. Just my opinion just my feedback.
