Terrible experience today. I accidentally pushed the wrong button, an honest mistake, hit the back button thinking I canceled the transaction and chose the one-time wash I wanted. I was charged $70 for a "Wash Book". I asked the general manager for a refund for my mistake pressing the wrong button. He would not refund my $70 and said all sales are final. Kyle, the general manager, seemed to lack experience in customer service. I will no longer use this car wash. read more

I love this place and been coming here for years. Today unfortunately, I touched the screen not knowing that I pushed Fire wax wash book ACCIDENTALLY .Supposedly Fire wax wash book means you prepay for many car washes. Today I was charged for book $130 plus a wash for today at $26. I left spending $156 that I was not planning to use for car washes. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PUSHING THE SCREEN CHOICES. The paint is chipped, my hood is scratched, and the car wasn't even cleaned, it still had dirt all over it. If I could give 0 stars, believe me, I would. Andrea, this was 100% after the car wash. It's from the second vacuum spot on the right after exiting the 200 feet of wash space. The reflection of the building off my hood proves exactly where my car is. Plus you can see the Honda in your "detail bay" in the other picture. Your facility is well monitored so you will see me taking the pictures on your video. Did I get the cheapest wash, yes. Are these the results, also yes. I'm happy to support small businesses, hence why I stopped by your spot, but bad results are bad results. I wanted a quick wash. You delivered on quick. Could I have complained on the spot and waited in line for another wash, yes. But y'all were busy and getting in the first time took 10-15 minutes (quick) and would have taken another 10-15 minutes (not quick). I have no reason to lie about any of this. I remember a time when I y'all's facility was a great quick wash. Your dryers were so good, I rarely needed to use a towel to dry my car. Simple pull out and go. I did come and find someone and I'll blast you again! The guys went and looked for my wiper and said they would call me. Never did. Poor customer service. Exceptional Service! I recently found myself in a tough situation when my older SUV auto-locked with both my phone and keys inside while I was vacuuming after a wash. I want to recognize the outstanding service I received at El Segundo 5-Minute Express Car Wash. A manager, Fernando, was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Not only did he help me figure out the next steps, but he also generously let me use his personal phone to contact the AAA driver--and even to track them down when they ended up at an address down the street. He remained calm, patient, and supportive throughout, which made a stressful moment so much easier to handle. It's rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about helping others, and I'm incredibly grateful for Fernando's kindness and generosity. I tipped the AAA technician for his quick help, and I also offered Fernando a cash tip for the 45 minutes he spent assisting me--on top of using his own phone and managing his regular duties with total professionalism. He kindly declined the cash tip, which says everything about his character. Thank you again, Fernando, for turning a difficult situation into a manageable one. Been going here for years. It used to be a good value, but last year the quality went down and price jacked up -my car would come out dirty still. Tried again today and the wash is much better, but drying got worse. Also had the package with tire shine and only the front tires got a good coat. For the price there's others in the area that do a better job. Maybe the system needs calibration. read more

El Segundo 5 min Express Car Wash is a great neighborhood car wash that is reasonably priced and convenient. Located with entrance on southbound side of Sepulveda in El Segundo. Several options for wash available. Recommend the $23 fire wax wash; good quality wash with nice wax job and spot free shine. There can definitely be a lack of stalls for vacuuming and need to wait a while when going during peak/busy times. That said once you get a stall, the vacuums are fantastic and accessible from both sides of car. There is also a separate mat cleaning station that works very well. read more

But prices on everything have gone up, so I'm sure they just need to keep up with inflation. They used to offer a free towel swap, which they got rid of the program. Does a decent 5 min drive through wash. Nothing special nothing egregious. 3 tiers although after seeing the car wash it looks like all 3 tiers do the same thing despite being priced differently $9, $11, $13. Quality wise, If you have any dried debris stuck onto your car, this car wash won't get it off. I also don't like how this car wash doesn't dry your car well so you leave with specs of water all of your car and windshield which you have to windshield wipe off or towel off. This place must think they are located in a crime ridden location and have stupid policies in place to prevent vacuum use theft. Net net, it just results a very poor experience and a wash that is ineffective especially for the price point. Far better alternatives nearby to choose from Appreciate the viewpoint and response. The last time I was here--it was really the end of an era for this car wash. I probably won't be back unless it's urgent. I have been a customer since they opened years ago and an Express Wash was $5.00. They maintained that for many years. I used to tout this wash to so many people as a place to go for an inexpensive "OK" wash. It was always an okay wash--not great--never took off a lot of bird poops--vacuums were hit or miss for strength. But for $5.00 it was worth it from time to time. More than a year ago they raised the wash price up to $6.00. Wash did not improve, just more expensive. But that was coming--how many years can you maintain the same price with labor and supply costs rising. I still came for a wash--just less often at $6.00. Recently I got caught by surprise and when I pulled in without warning--the least expensive wash all of a sudden jumped up to $8.00! For $8.00 I rather get a Burrito at Chipolte across the street. This is by no means an $8.00 car wash. It's a $5.00 car wash that now cost $8.00. I was pissed! But went through this one last time--same mediocre wash--maybe worse--I actually had to wet and wipe the car down again to get all the dirt and bird poop spots off. And can you believe?: I had to move my car three times! to a 3rd Vacuum Spot to find a working vacuum. That's what you get for $8.00. You have no idea how angry I was (for days) spending $8.00 for a POS car wash. I felt violated and I waited a few weeks to calm down before writing this review--but I am still upset. They raised the price 33% and lowered the quality. Like I said, I rather have a dirty car and get a Burrito for $8.00. This is not an $8.00 car wash by no stretch of the imagination. For the 1st time in years I set out to find another car wash nearby that was cheaper and better. It took a lot of research but I found a good one not far away for $6.00 that cleans better, incredibly power vacuums, better room in the spaces to work, and much friendlier employees. I also found a great one in Huntington Beach when I am in OC for just $5.00 (with a Yelp Check-In) that also cleans better, with better vacuums than here with really friendly employees. So like getting out of a bad relationship--I am happy to move on finally and will not take this abuse any longer here. read more

Went to get a car wash today and for some reason it was trying to charge me almost $150 when it should have been $11. I don't know what kind of bull someone set up there but they've lost me as a customer forever. Computer glitch or not. Service has crumpled over the years -- and yet the price keeps soaring. What used to be a great $5 DIY wash is now costing $14, and you have to deal with broken credit card readers, bill acceptors that don't accept bills, and untrained teenager employees guiding you off the rails of the line. OMG! This was THE best, most fun car wash I've been too. I didn't know I'd enjoy a car wash so much . The drive through was cool and got the job done , but if you have very small kids could be a little unnerving for them. The vacuum area and inside cleaning (you do after the drive through) had everything you could think of ..even a special machine to clean your car mats. They also have an air gun attached to vacuums to get those hard to vacuum places, and a windex sprayer. I side they have vending machines to purchase small towels to wipe your inside down with(I think around $2-3) but you can bring your own. Really an impressive carwash, by far the longest car wash tunnel ive ever been in and jam packed with cleaning eqipment. My car came out so shiny and dry! The new dryers were really cool Extending out closer to lower cars and retracting for taller cars. I easily found a staff member Kyle who answered my questions and was really informative about the car wash equipment and also all their free amenities i did not know about. I went to this car wash around noon on a Tuesday and had a super easy in and out. The parking lot was still full with cars vacuuming their interiors but the exterior wash was quick. There are several options as far as the wash is concerned and I went with the Fire one - the most expensive choice at $25 - but it had been months since my car had been cleaned so I was all for a power wash. My baby boy was in the car with me and it was a fun ride through, but When I got home I noticed missed sections and water spots. So, it was only okay as far as the wash but it really came in handy in a pinch so I would still recommend it. read more
