I purchased a groupon because it did sound like an interesting technique. It was worth $89 for 4 visits. This mid section is not huge but some extras to flatten it out would be great. I do work out daily so that is not the issue. When I arrived I was taken to a room. I was given the information for the devices that were in the room. They of course tried to up sell me for more stuff. Bait and switch. I was going to only do my 4 visits but I stopped going after the second. It was too much pressure to but other products. They told me that the 4 visits would not do much and I needed to spend more to the tune of $800 and up to 4K. No thank you. I am given 3 stars because they were friendly. I will keep continuing my exercising and doing better eating. It is less costly. read more

My name is Nidal Oksten, and I am one of the victims of Light RX Center. In October 2024, I visited the Light RX Center in Troy, MI to learn about the procedures they offered for reducing body fat. I met with the center manager, Marwa, who assured me that I would lose 24% of my belly and arm fat after just the first session. She also claimed that my belly would become tight and that all my stretch marks would disappear. During my first session, I asked the staff performing the treatment if it would actually make a difference. They confidently assured me that I would see results after the very first session. However, I did not lose even 1% of fat after that session. When I expressed my concerns to the manager, she responded that noticeable results would only appear after several sessions. Following that, the staff--who seem to be trained more in sales than in actual treatment--persuaded me to purchase an expensive facial treatment, which cost thousands of dollars. Instead of improving my skin, the treatment left burn marks on my face. It was completely ineffective. After every session, I continued to ask why I wasn't seeing any results. Eventually, the manager told me it would take at least six months to notice any changes. I completed all of my sessions by January 2025 but still saw no improvement. In fact, the fat around the upper part of my belly had increased. When I informed the manager, she offered me one additional session. I told her that if 12 sessions had done nothing, I doubted that one more would make a difference. I then attempted to contact Marwa's supervisor at headquarters, leaving three voicemails without any response. The supervisor eventually asked Marwa to call me. Marwa did call, but spoke to me in a harsh tone, stating that the company does not issue refunds and never has for any other customer--which implies that other complaints like mine have occurred. She then hung up on me.I called the supervisor again to complain. This time, I received a rude message telling me not to call again and reiterating that no refund would be provided despite the ineffectiveness of the sessions. I am writing this to expose the lies and false advertising of this center. I want to warn potential customers before they spend their money here, and I also encourage others who have had similar experiences to speak up. Thank you. read more

I'm so happy with the results I have seen with the laser lipo and body contouring. The staff is so kind and helpful. I never thought I would be able to shrink my post-baby pouch, but after ten sessions it is nearly gone! The people are nice, but the results are not there and they will lie to try to make you believe you aren't seeing what you are seeing in the pictures. $1800 for two treatments (laser lipo and tightening) to the same area (abs), and 30 miles 1-2 times per week, only to be argued with at the end of treatment. I asked more than half way through treatment when I would start seeing results and was told I should have after the 3rd treatment but takes some people longer. I was solicited for a google review 3 treatments before the end of the sessions and submitted my opinion that I am not seeing results. I was contacted by someone that said someone would follow up with me. Just before my last treatment, the Canton manager contacted me and said that we'd take a look at my after pics when I was done and that they would "make it right, I want you to be happy". My before picture was taken straight-on at the treatment area, the after picture was at a high angle and for some reason had to be "sent out" to someone and would "take a couple days" before I could see the after pictures (direct quote from the tech that took my after pics). That didn't make sense. When the pictures came back, the edges of my body around the treatment area are fuzzy, which the edges are not fuzzy in the before picture, and I am standing against the same wall. While the manager was very nice, but no manner of cajoling changes the facts. I told them before treatment started that I have a 3D body scanner at home that takes a 3D model and 14 different measurements accurate to .05 inches - which I used before, during, and after treatment - giving me documented proof that the after picture cannot be accurate. I even did a scan the day the after pic was taken for my own comparison. There is no way the 3D scanner and the digital picture with fuzzy edges could be so far apart. Even if the pic wasn't doctored, the angle should have been the same. Many a selfie pro or Instagrammer will show you how angles dramatically change pictures. She tried to convince me that I could have results with no change in measurements. Which is complete BS. Laser lipo and tightening and no inches lost, that's not possible. I requested a follow-up appointment to meet with her (the manager) to discuss and show her my scans, but gave up when her schedule was limited to my work hours. I dropped it. I wasn't going to leave a review, as I am so pissed I didn't feel I could be impartial, but now after 2 months and still receiving email requests soliciting my 'opinion' of LightRx Face & Body, so here it is. The staff was wonderful, but the results in getting the Laser Treatment was terrible. I understand that I need to do some form of exercising and eating healthy. I did apply that to my journey and this was suppose to be a 10 week visit. I made my ten weeks every week and stopped sweets, carbs, and anything else that contributed to this weight lose. It is just a 10 week trial and it is a slow process and the staff did not contact me in a timely manner to tell me, I lost 3 inches in which I may have gained back by the time I spoke with them. I had to keep calling them to find out my results and they have still not produced the pictures that were taken. They also stated that my results goes to a nurse and she will provide the info of what I have lost, that never happened. If you want to keep spending thousands of dollars every 10 weeks, you might as well get a BBL. I do not recommend Laser treatment for weight lose. read more

I have been going to the Canton LightRx for approximately 6-7 sessions of laser hair removal for upper lip. This is probably one of the cheapest services they offer, and my expectations were not high. This has been my first experience of getting laser hair removal, and everything was great at first. There were 2 documented occasions of this location cancelling my appointments (in a row), and I understand being short staffed, but now I'm wondering if the length in between those appointments had disrupted the progress and caused more pain/sensitivity as well as causing me to need another appointment. I never received resolution, just the receptionist at this location telling me she will make sure I'm not cancelled on again, which is not logical because that's not up to her. I'll chalk that up to, "Can't please everyone." At one time, I got a text saying my appointment time was some other time than what I had scheduled it for, and I brushed it off thinking it was possible I made the mistake; I could still make it to the appointment, so I called to confirm the text was correct because it conflicted with what I had documented, and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today, 6/22/2021, I got a text reminding me of the appointment I made for tomorrow at 6pm, but the text says 5:30pm instead. This was my last bit of patience for this location, as I value my time and will not go anywhere where my time is not respected, even if I have a prepaid package/appointment. There's no way I would have scheduled a time that conflicted with my work schedule, and it matches both of my other calendars too. Hmm. The only times I've received a "reminder" text is when they've changed my appointment without telling me. Now, after the second occurrence, it is clear to me that this location lacks in communication and/or training, maybe even basic consideration. It's common sense that people have work or prior obligations, and a 30 minute time difference is not a 5-10 minute traffic delay; time is money for everyone involved. I felt that my time has been disrespected by some of the workers at this location. If I would have known they needed me to reschedule, I would have... given a need to reschedule notice at the least. On the bright side, this laser has given me some results and reduced some hair growth, so I purchased a Groupon to get another area done. I cancelled my appointment at Canton that was supposed to be for tomorrow, obviously, and will be trying out the Novi location to give this company another chance. They keep their locations clean, and everyone has been so helpful and polite on the phone and in person. A couple of the technicians at the Canton location have been SOOOO welcoming and sweet, and I greatly appreciate that. My last thought this evening is perhaps the reason I have been "looked over" is because I have purchased a smaller service; maybe they think I don't have a lot of income and am not important as some of their clients who use other services... I don't usually leave reviews, but felt the need to after visiting Light RX. I was very apprehensive about having stretch marks removed from my thighs, as the cost was pretty significant. I had tried everything already so after speaking with a consultant, I bought the laser package. I was GUARANTEED that I would see results by my honeymoon in July. The consultant assured me that my stretch marks would be easily removed. I was still very skeptical and the cost was high, but I went through with it anyway. After 5 sessions, my laser tip ended and I did not see a single result. I took photos from March through July to see if I would notice any progress and nothing changed. I am extremely disappointed that I wasted so much money and got ZERO results. Don't bother with this place for stretch mark removal, I felt like I got scammed. read more

Will never do business with Light Rx again. Sonya was extremely nice but the rest of my experience was horrible. I felt uncomfortable there and the balloons did nothing but make me sick and uncomfortable. I can't play with my daughter or go more than an hour without eating to comfort the pain. When I do eat I throw up no matter the amount I eat or what I eat. They kept giving me more and more pills and nothing helped. I had to get my lawyer involved to finally get an appointment to get them removed. read more

I found out about this location from a friend and after my consultation and amazing discount I had to come back for treatment. The manager Michele did my under arms and Brazilian laser hair removal. It hurt a little, but this was so worth the pain. I'm about to do my second round and I'm in shock from my outcome already. My hair is way thinner and I haven't had any ingrown hair since. I usually never write reviews but this time I had to share my excitement! Lightrx is a blessing, you get the results you're looking for in every treatment! It's pretty rare to see any results even after one treatment but I did and it's only getting better :D The staff is super friendly and caring, always listening to me, explaining every step they're doing and if I ever had questions they're always consistent with the treatments and being sure to look out for the health of my skin even post treatment. Also the front desk staff is super friendly especially Sanya! I would recommend this location, laser hair removal and Skin rejuvenation from first hand experience. Please do your homework on this service and on this company. Unfortunately, I didn't do either. I was more fascinated with the promised results. A basic Internet search will reveal that this is a controversial company with a storied and troubled financial past. As with the other locations, the Canton Michigan location does a great job selling its services with the alleged 80% discount. I was conned into purchasing the $3300 package. To add insult to injury, I fell for the financing gambit through PatientFI. My sales person completely glossed over the details of this financing. I failed to realize that this company was taking payments out of my checking account immediately and they were charging me almost 30%. I found out way after the fact that there was no 12 months no interest. This company is taking out $77 a month for every $177 payment I make. The way this company structures their payments, interest and the APR is mind-numbing. The mob offers better terms! To their fault, they didn't discuss any of the financial terms and unfortunately, I was more enamored with the advertised results of the service. To add to this horrible experience, the service did absolutely nothing. In other words, I wasted three months with no results while they were busy trying to get me to buy another package. They promote the package at $12,000 and offer it at 80% off or $3300. This is complete nonsense as they take advantage of the customer. I even told this location that there was absolutely no positive results while they were trying to sell me a second package for $3300. Again, do your research on this procedure ("body sculpting") and this company. Do not finance any service through this company or its partners. If you can't afford to pay cash, go elsewhere. read more

Although the staff was incredibly nice, the procedures I went through (laser lipo and skin tightening) provided no positive results after at least four different grouped sessions. I was also extremely misinformed on how this works and spent a lot of money to get no results. This was not worth it and I would not recommend LightRx. read more
