I bought a trailer in NH and needed to transport it to MA, LightSpeed team answered quickly to my call and arranged a pick up right away. Nice guy and a good driver, even gave me some advices on practicing maneuvering the trailer and some details for safely towing it (little things that the seller assumed I already knew). Talk about a terrible company to deal with! Here is our nightmare in dealing with Light Speed: My boyfriend's car had two flat tires and was supposed to be towed from our apartment to the local Hyundai dealership for repairs. Over 6+ hours after the car was towed we still had not heard from the dealership or the towing company. We called the dealership to check in and they said that they did not receive our car. Um what? We then called Light Speed to inquire about where the car was. A snippy receptionist informed us that the car was still on the back of the tow truck and that the tow truck had "broken down somewhere." Concerned that nobody at the tow company thought this was information we as a client should know, we asked for the location of our vehicle. The receptionist said she didn't know but that we could call the tow truck driver (to which my boyfriend remarked "Isn't that your job"). CLICK! Yes, the receptionist HUNG UP ON US! Sadly, it doesn't end there. Not even five minutes after we were hung up on, the manager at Light Speed called us back to verbally assault my boyfriend claiming that he "cussed out his receptionist." Both of us were in complete shock that this man had the audacity to accuse a CUSTOMER of harassing his receptionist. The manager also went on to say "I do not care about your $20k car when my $80k truck is broken down." Concerned for the wellbeing of our car we called back Hyundai Assistance to explain our situation and urge them not to do business with Light Speed. Hyundai sent out a different towing company and within an hour our car was safely at the Hyundai dealership. Absolutely unreal. I wish there were an island somewhere where we could put scumbags like this. Oh, and the receptionist needs a swift kick in the tush to sort out that attitude problem of hers. These guys were great. They came and moved my 69 SS Camaro out of a very confined space and delivered to my garage. They were very deliberate and careful with my classic, and treated it like it was their own. They wouldn't even start the drive until they were both confident that it was secured properly. These are the guys to call when you have a job that you want done right. Their diligence allowed me to have ZERO concerns about the care being given to my car. read more

I called Volvo On Call for help when my car did not start. Within 30 minutes James and his tow truck from LightSpeed arrived. Apparently their name says it all. I have used AAA in the past and was left waiting for over an hour. I could not be happier with the great service James provided in quickly coming to my rescue. read more

I was riding my motorcycle and then all of a sudden I started wobbling . I pulled off onto the first exit I could. Flat tire. I called my insurance company and they dispatched lightspeed towing . They estimated an hour so I got a ride to the mall and came back 45 minutes later to find a flat bed trailer waiting to pick up my bike. Tom, the owner, loaded my bike on and strapped it down explaining why he was doing it this way . He took care and consideration for my bike even though it was a 1987 . He treated my bike as if it was my pride and joy which it is. He was helpful and friendly . One of the last few who actually care about the customer . Lightspeed towing is who I will call to make sure my vehicles get back safely . Thank you Tom. read more

Needed roadside assistance for a flat tire. This was set up through my insurance company but when they received the info from my insurance company I received a call from the driver letting me know he was on his way. Considering the first company that was supposed to come out had decided to go to another call but didn't inform me or my insurance company, this call was very reassuring. Arrived fast and was very friendly and helpful. read more

Geico called them to come tow my car in one of the Lowell garages. The guy calls me when he's 5 minutes out and I live a 5 minute walk away so I headed towards the garage. Got to my car and waiting in the freezing weather for ten minutes until I called Geico. Apparently, the driver couldn't fit his truck in the garage so he just left and didn't bother to call me back and notify me. What's wrong with you? It takes one minute to call someone. So ridiculous. read more

SUPER FANTASTIC! I got my car stuck on my boyfriends driveway after hitting a patch of ice and sliding into a ditch. Tom and James came out in a timely manner and assured me that they would either do the job right or not at all. My car was in quite a predicament with the under part of my car sitting on the the ground ( the part of my car that isn't suppose to touch the ground). It took two trucks but they got her out with no damage at all!!! They were extremely professional and I can't say enough nice things about them. Had anyone else tried to get my car out by just towing it I would most likely have really damaged the under carriage of my car. Thanks Tom and James, you guys rock! read more

TL;DR - above & beyond for their customers, great friendly people, exceptional service and work! I'm giving LightSpeed Towing a shining 5 star review for so many reasons. I was in a living nightmare trying to repair my wheel bearing at home, after countless attempts I threw in the towel and decided to get it towed. Their mechanic James even went out of his way and tried to get that bearing off in my garage before bringing it in. Their towing & skate specialist David successfully loaded my tireless car safely onto the flat bed while it was sleeting out, and the supervisor Tom not only didn't have geico charge me the over mileage on towing, but also did way more labor then what I ended up paying. I was so stuck in a bind and these guys go above & beyond to take care of their customers like a good friend. I would recommend them to anyone is the New England area!! My 2014 subaru crosstrek now holds the #1 spot for worst wheel bearing job in their shop lol and I'm happy these guys were such good sports about it. Even kept me up to date with pictures of my car in real time. At one point Tom let me know it was so stuck, it'd have to be brought to a machine parts place or replace the knuckle, but sure enough about 20 minutes later I was made aware 2 guys took turns sledge hammering it out and it came free!!! They never gave up and they woke me from my nightmare. Thank you so much! read more

This was the best towing i ever had in my life, the driver went above the call of duty and helped us, we were about 1 hour from home, we had gieco which covered the towing but not the extra mile but they didnt charge this fee that most do, bottom line it didnt cost me one penny to get my car home, plus he stopped at the auto part store so I can get the part to fix my car while at home and not try to get a ride to the store later, no charge, this is just the kind of company this is, they dont nickle and dime people but here to help, try that if you can find that,you wont, so I gave him $10 so he can buy a dinner and drink for his help, great guy any questions PLEASE !!! contact me I will back this up !!! twofountains @ yahoo read more

I could not be happier with my experience with LightSpeed towing. We got a flat tire at 8PM on Memorial Day and, after one response crew canceled on us, LightSpeed not only got there in under 30 mins but towed us to a gas station and got our flat fixed immediately. What makes this above & beyond service is the company was technically closed on Memorial Day (and used the truck in a parade earlier that day!), but, upon hearing that my pregnant wife was also in the car, they decided to take the call and come out to help us. I am a completely unbiased user who very infrequently reviews anything, but our experience with LightSpeed towing was great. read more
