july 2024. My old battery died. Called AAA and Shaheens came right out. Tech deterit was my battery. Charging system, (alternator, starter) were just fine. He replaced battery. January 2025. Cold weather by now. Car won't start. Called AAA, Shaheens came out said all is well but battery is bad. Called AAA and asked how a 6 month old battery can go bad so fast. I was told to go to a mechanic and have the battery checked and send printout to them to verify it is actually the battery that is at fault. Not doing this. They should have relied on techs report of good charging system but bad battery. So I am buying a new battery today. No problem I am also not renewing with AAA ever again. By the way the battery that was installed was not even the correct cranking amps for my car. read more

Be Careful of this place I was taken advantage of know your rights... After speaking with an attorney about my vehicle that was towed from a scene of an accident and stored by the Local pd/State pd for an investigation for 93 days which lawfully I shouldn't have had been charged due to the hold the local pd/state pd had on the vehicle for their requirements. FYI These tow yards are contracted by the local and state for situations like this. I don't mind supporting local business but these people double-dipped got paid by the local/state then had the audacity to charge me. On December 23 during our terrible storm I got a flat tire. I was able to call AAA and they sent a tow truck from Sheehan's. The driver was Michael. I knew exactly when he was coming from the texts. He was courteous, polite and very professional. Did an excellent job. Towing my car to have my tire replaced at Mavis tire in Salem New Hampshire. A very scary few hours. Turned out quite well. Horrible selfish company. Only wants to strip people of their money. I had called triple a for a jump start and sheehans came and got it back on. They guy was smoking cigarettes while helping and the next day they came and towed every single car on my street. And pretended to "plow snow" when there was no snow present on the street. They guys who turned my battery on went back and told the company to go on my street and tow everyone. Its not going to snow anytime soon. We have a full day of sunshine tomorrow. Horrible company just hate them. This isnt the first time. They had towed my car before and gave me a different address all the way in south Lawrence. I wish they were more helpful then hurtfull. Had a car issue this evening - basically car broke down in front of the YMCA in Lawrence for an unknown reason. Called AAA and they sent Sheehan's Towing company. Steve was the driver and was exceptional in his service even offering to take my car to their service shop as the towing company owner owns a repair shop. To my dismay, the person Steve called to inquire about them working on my car told them that they do not work on customers cars that are being towed. Huge question mark there as I find it odd they turn down business delivered to their front door step. Possible conflict with AAA contract who knows. All I know is that Steve was awesome and I would have taken my car to Sheehan's garage if they would have taken it. read more

I am a teacher trainer who works with the Lawrence Public School to support teachers of English language learners. On Wednesday, March 20, I parked at St. Anthony's Maronite Christian Church as I always do (the school has an agreement with the Church). After delivering a professional development presentation with a colleague, I came out to find that I had been towed. I called the church but they were closed. The signs about towing on the exterior walls give no information about which towing company to call or contact. I had to re-enter the school and find an administrator to call around to various towing companies. We finally called the Lawrence Police for information. They identified Sheehan's as the business that had my car. An administrator from the school explained my situation to Sheehan's but they did nothing except to say that the towing fee was $135.00 and that they had my car. The school administrator drove me to Sheehan's which is located in Methuen. I was then informed that my car was not there but back in South Lawrence. I was and continue to be outraged. Anyone who is towed by Sheehan's has to find a lift to Methuen, pay the exorbitant towing fee and then get a lift to go back to Lawrence. I am a middle class woman who can afford to pay for an Uber or taxi. What about those unable to find a ride or come up with that outrageous sum of money?I live in one of the most expensive cities in Massachusetts: Cambridge. The towing fee here is $100.00 I was also asked to pay $143.00 instead of the quoted $135.00 which I protested. The manager reduced it to the original $135.00 and muttered "Frank is giving away the house." I had left my purse in the car and started to exit the door and a burly employee blocked me and said that I had to pay up. I looked at him and " are you trying to block me from leaving?" He replied, "You have to pay." "My purse is in the car but you don't get to prevent me from leaving." This behavior by a Sheehan's employee suggests to me that intimidation is part of the experience. I was furious but returned and paid and we drove back to South Lawrence to finally retrieve my car. Sheehan's business practices can only be described as horrific with price gouging and intimidation as major elements. I will be contacting the mayor about this incident. . read more

I had been waiting for two hours for AAA (who would have sent a different company) when I decided to call around to local shops to see if I could speed up the process. Sheehan's came through with flying colors! They were there within the hour and the driver was professional and friendly. They also helped me get the call routed through AAA. AAA called Sheehan's when I blew out my tire on 495 (and, yes!!!, it was freaking scary!!!) The guy who came was nice and put my little donut on for me. I picked up my old-heavy rim and put it in my backseat and he asked "Why'd you go and do that?! I should have done it." What a gentleman! He was courteous and prompt- a good experience. One thing though- he told me that you have to look at the tires on the car to see the PSI amount, but I was always taught to look on the inside of the door.. Called AAA for a tow due to a damaged transmission on my truck. They sent out Sheehan's towing. Gave my keys to the driver and watched him load the truck, have directions to the house and sent him on his way. Left with my wife and my dad to go get the wife's car from a tire shop and went home to find the driver had left the trick where I asked him to. All is good so far, until I look at the front of the truck and saw my headlight and lower fairing damaged. Called it to Sheehan's and they said someone would be in contact with me the next day. No phone call the next day. I call up the following day and speak with the "owner" and was told to send pictures. I sent the pictures. They now won't answer calls or texts. I've used them in the past without any issues, but have heard many horror stories from other customers. read more

called for a tow was quoted $55 if it just needed a jump start which is what I ended up needing. asked if I could pay by debit card told yes, guy came charged me $75 and said cash only I had to give him $80 from the atm he followed me too because I had no other cash, it wasn't my bank so had to pay a fee as well and he had no cash to give me my $5 back. If I was told on the phone it was going to be cash only I would have walked over to the grocery store before they came, due to a low battery I couldn't leave my car to run in the store after he jumped it and I'm sure he wasn't going to wait. I asked for a receipt so I can try to put it into my insurance and he said he didn't have a book and had to search for something to give me one. I would have refused the tow but I had my dog and he was already hot since we had been sitting there for an hour. read more

I chose this garage randomly due to its proximity to NH as I needed an inspection. At first I was told it might be a while, but the mechanic came out in 15 minutes. He was very fast and my car was done in no time for only $29. I hate going to strange car garages and normally feel out of my depth and wary of the men I encounter, but the men here were perfect gentlemen and were very polite and kind to me. This place isn't fancy by any means but the guys are cool and it's inexpensive, and that's all I care about. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a garage in the Methuen area. read more

Just finished grocery shopping at Market Basket, trunk full of food, and car will not start. Called Sheehan's and a tow truck was there within 15 minutes. Kyle was the driver. He immediately introduced himself, with a smile, and got my car started in less than 5 minutes. He advised me to keep it running for about 25 minutes so the battery would recharge itself until I can get a new one. He made a bad experience pleasant! read more

Why do they need to charge $350 for a starter after Triple A paid for the tow ....very unhappy

On Sunday April 3rd in the AM, I placed a call to Sheehan's to inquire about the cost of towing my dead car from my workplace in Andover to a repair shop in Methuen. I was quoted $125. Because of an upcoming snowstorm, I decided it would be best to have it towed that afternoon so I called back a few hours later. The same person who quoted me got my work street address but then I added "But I'd like to give the tow truck operator a few further instructions because it's a little tricky to find our parking lot". At this point I was interrupted with "I don't have the staff to do this today & call back tomorrow". Then click- I was hung up on in the manner that one would hang up on a telemarketer without being able to say any more. If he had given me a chance to speak further he would have heard that the instructions were simple like 'make a left when you see our the company sign'. What I objected to was being hung up on and the fact that they didn't care about the bind that they could have been leaving me in. I was not in a hurry- if they said they could work me in that would have been fine. They could have been nicer if they were truly short staffed- but obviously not short staffed enough to agree to accept the job in the first place before they heard the words "a little tricky". The story ended with me immediately calling another towing company who charged me $100, saving me $25. read more

A few weeks ago, I had to be towed off Rt 495 south on the overpass of Rt 213, a very bad narrow spot during morning rush. The driver showed up pretty quickly, within about 30 minutes of calling AAA. His first concern was to get me off the highway and into the cab of the flatbed so that I was safe. Using a little flashing light, he stayed behind me while I walked next to the travel lane to get around the truck and in the cab. I was very impressed with the concern he showed for me to be safe and warm before anything else. He quickly got my vehicle on the flatbed and we headed up to my home in Haverhill. After unloading my car, he refused the extra cost of $4 a mile past the limit on my AAA. This was a true blessing for me as I am supporting others who would have been homeless and things have been really tough for us. I will keep Sheehan's in mind for any future services they provide that I might need and also in my prayers for being just good human beings as well! read more
