From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt like I was walking into the coziest living room ever. Comfy couches, warm lighting - nothing like the sterile waiting rooms I'm used to. Then when they walked me back, there was a huge TV on the wall with MY NAME on it welcoming me. I've never felt so personally seen at a doctor's office before! The intake form was totally different too - thoughtful questions that actually felt like they wanted to get to know me as a person, not just my teeth. Dr. Jocellyn was an absolute angel. She took the time to chat with me, ask about my life, and really understand who I am before we even started. When it came time for the cleaning, she explained everything in a way that made total sense and introduced me to some dental techniques I'd never heard of (I had a million questions and she happily answered every single one). At one point I got a little emotional (I'm usually anxious at the dentist), and Dr. Jocellyn literally grabbed a tissue and dabbed my tears like a mom would - gently going "dab, dab, dab, sweetie, don't ruin your makeup." I almost cried again because it was so sweet! I left feeling completely cared for, comfortable, and honestly kind of pampered. I'm so grateful I found this office. If you're nervous about the dentist or just want to feel like a human being instead of a chart number, this is the place. I will no longer be a patient of Dr. Ligotki Dental Group. On July 10, 2026, I was scheduled for a routine cleaning. I knew that it had been less than six months since my last cleaning. After taking several x-rays, Dr. Ligotki realized that I was not actually due for a cleaning. Instead, he checked my gums and various teeth that may pose problems in the future. He also discussed a pre screening cancer treatment that insurance companies don't like to pay for but he did the pre screening on my mouth anyway. He told me to continue to use his prescribed oral treatment rinse and to schedule a cleaning in four months. When I began to reschedule my next appointment, I was told that the services for the day were over $400! I reminded her that my cleaning should be covered 100% by insurance. She acknowledged it and quoted me $274 for the visit. I asked her to explain this cost and she said it was for the oral rinse and the cancer screening of my mouth. I did not ask for the screening but I assumed that it would be billed to my insurance. As for the two step oral rinse, Dr. Ligotki told me that it is a prescription. I thought that he would write me a prescription but instead, he took the bottles out of a cabinet and put them in a bag. He went back to an exam room and let the very confused receptionist try to explain the cost of my visit. The two bottle rinse would cost me $180! I was not going to buy THAT product! My total bill was $94 which I believe was for the pre screening cancer test. He obviously never intended to bill my insurance company for the test and passed the cost onto me. I found this dentist through a family friend that recommended it. I had been going to a dentist in Chicago and recently moved to the suburbs. I went several times and they examined my mouth pretty well. I was advised that I needed some gum rehabilitation and that I had a cavity (which was suprising to me because I didn't have any pain and didn't have an incident where I felt a cavity was caused. I paid a lot of money for the gum rehabilitation and was about to get the "cavity" fixed but ended up going back to the dentist I was seeing in Chicago. When I went to the previous dentist that was from Chicago - I was advised that I don't in fact have a cavity. Don't fall for this dentist offices tricks. They treat new clients like garbage and mis-advise on what is really going on. It's just a huge money grab and they don't give a shit about you as a client. STAY AWAY from them. I just completed a 3 hour visit with jocellyn dmd and her assistant aniah and the experience was top notch. I first discussed with Jocellyn a few weeks ago on what to expect during this meeting (as I get nervous dealing with dentists) and everything was exactly what she described. She explained every step this afternoon on what she was doing in her typical calm voice. She has a great partner, Aniah. Receptionist was lacking empathy despite the fact that I was making it pretty clear I was irritated with my damaged tooth. She was not willing to find any solution when I said I did not have my insurance card on me and I was willing to email it to her as soon as I got home. she wanted me to pay out of my pocket or else no service could be provided to somebody with broken tooth who was in a lot of pain. Very up to date and clean environment. My problem stems from the pricing and manner in which they conduct business. In the consultation they gave me an expected price of $5000 for everything but once the appointments started it was like they completely disregarded that and began charging ridicules prices. Here is an example: They charged me over $1000 for a flipper (temp tooth) while the bone graft was healing. By that time I had woken up to what was happening as I was now well over the original $5000 quote and nowhere near getting the tooth replaced. I was so fed up at that point I returned to my original dentist and that same flipper tooth cost me only $230. In short these folks charge outrageous prices and if you question their pricing or practices they make you feel unwanted and unappreciated as a customer. I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE! read more

This was absolutely the best dental visit ever! Dr. Mark A. Ligocki used his state of the art laser (pictured) to make my dental visit exceptional. No need for shots or drilling! Imagine getting dental work done and you can leave being able to eat and speak normally without your face being numb and achy for hours. I have 18 years of experience in dentistry so I've been on both sides of the chair, as the patient and as the practitioner. Sometimes those with the most knowledge can be just as afraid (and annoying ) as those with little dental knowledge, because we know so much! "Why aren't you doing this? Shouldn't you be doing that? I think you should..." I felt none of that. I was completely at ease. He is the best! On a scale of 1-10, 1 being feeling nothing/painless and 10 being very painful, this was just a 2. 2 only because it was cold and just a little sensitive at times. My mani pedi's can rank more than a 2 on a pain scale. Lbvs! So what happened? He removed part of an old filling and some new decay. Before he placed a new flawless restoration, I was able to feel the large hole in my tooth with my tongue. Yikes, right? But I felt no pain and I wasn't even numb. Crazy! And crazy good! read more

Dr Ligocki solicited me for business pretending he would help my difficult situation. He provided me with a consultation. Although I had to answer a twelve page questionnaire and felt that they could have used that time to examine me rather than wasting 26 minutes in the lobby I could have been examined a lot sooner. My visit was a total waste of time! A huge let down from a man who likes to hear himself talk. I cannot recommend nor recommend this particular dentist since no dental work was performed as I not a patient and only had a consultation. read more

Dr. Ligocki is everything I hoped for in my quest to switch to a dentist closer to my office. Friendly, honest, professional and personable. Everyone that I met in the office was friendly, professional and explained things in detail, which I appreciated. I feel like part of the family there, after only the first appointment. I was made to feel like the staff at the office truly care about my dental health. The prices are fair and I feel like Dr. Ligocki is only going to recommend work to be done that needs to be. Dr. Ligocki is truly a professional and very talented dentist. I've seen my fair share of dentists throughout the Chicago area before visiting this office, and even though I've never had a bad experience somewhere else, I can honestly say that I've never felt happier or more comfortable "visiting the dentist" than while in Dr. Ligocki's office. The dental office staff and hygienists are very friendly and have always made my appointment and billing options easy to understand. I can also make a dental appointment right on his website, which is really convenient. The main thing, however, that differentiates Dr. Ligocki from other dental offices is the quality of his work and his refreshingly positive and friendly chair-side attitude. Dr. Ligocki uses "plain language" to clearly explain what he's doing and what he recommends I do in the future to ensure I am healthy. Even with relatively sensitive teeth, no matter what the work I've needed done over the years, I can't recall ever being in pain while sitting in his dental chair. He is careful, thoughtful and provides very high quality (and painless) work overall. On one of my first visits to this office, Dr. Ligocki personally met me in the waiting area with a huge smile and shook my hand. I'll never forget this. His is the only dental office I've been to where I never feel scared or nervous before the visit. I went to the dentist for my scheduled clean and check today. Dr. Ligocki's hygienist, Amanda, did the usual pocket checking, scraping, polishing, etc. When she had finished, she held a mirror in front of my face, pointed at a tooth, and said "Give this one extra brushing. The gum is receding, and it's crucial for your bridge. And you don't want a cavity in it!" Attention to detail and communication. After having another dentist for 30 years (he retired), I was referred to Dr Ligocki. When I needed a new crown installed, I was amazed at the new technology being used in his office and the expertise of Dr Ligocki. He explained the procedures he was going to use, and let me watch the entire process; step by step on a color monitor as his machines scanned my old tooth, then the milling machine cut an exact replacement from a block of material. Within about 1 hour the crown was made and installed. It fit perfectly in my mouth. Dr Ligocki even shaved a top tooth to make my mouth close better. I feel so much better after months of uncomfortable tooth contact. I really enjoyed how he and his staff treated me and handled the insurance paperwork in a professional manner. My family and I were going to this office for about a year. Dr. Ligocki made a verbal agreement with my husband and I to pay as much as we can a month. We were giving him monthly payments in a set amount. But due to COVID, our monthly payment became less than the agreed amount. My husband and I have been struggling like every other American due to COVID. We missed one payment and Dr. Ligocki jumped to send us to collection. I felt uneasy as everything was an up-charge and I continued to have to say no to the products they were seeking during the exam like toothpaste, water flosser, etc. beware of hidden charges!!!! My daughter was terrified to go to the dentist! After a couple of not so good experiences with other dentist's, I made an appointment with Dr. Ligocki and decided this was it! Well, she cried the entire way to the dentist's office. Once we arrived, she was first seen by the Hygienist who took great care of her explaining every move, every step of the way. The Hygienist was taking pictures of her teeth but first, to demonstrate the instrument, she had my daughter take a selfie with the tooth camera!
