I went in on October 25 for a simple visit to get a few fillings done. WITH NO PAIN. I paid $400 upfront and was told that everything else would be covered since they are in-network with my insurance. Then FIVE MONTHS LATER, I receive an unexpected bill for $125.10. How is it acceptable to send a surprise charge that long after the visit? This brings my total to over $525 for basic fillings, which already feels unreasonable. It gets worse. The fillings on THREE of my teeth were done incorrectly. I left and MY PAIN STARTED 2 days after, it wasn't normal my teeth were extremely sensitive to water and food, I could not eat. I had to go back just 2 weeks later, and a different doctor had to remove the original fillings and redo them completely because they were not done correctly by DR. SAMATHA KOFTA. I had to go through the same procedure twice because the first job was done so poorly. Same dental work twice, deal with pain I did not have before the visit, and then still be surprised with additional charges months later. $1,000 of my insurance was wasted plus $525 from my pocket for 3 feelings. I would not recommend this office. Patients deserve honesty, clear billing, and competent care and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This dental office is unprofessional, unethical, and prioritizes profit over patient care. The bathroom was out of toilet paper for my entire 2+ hour visit--completely unhygienic for a healthcare facility. My appointment time was changed after booking, and I was called repeatedly about insurance, only to find out I was out-of-network when I arrived. During my appointment the hygienist asked about my job (which is considered prestigious) and said I must live in Oak Brook (affluent area). She then literally ran out and brought in a man I'd never met--without introducing himself This man tried to sell me a $2,500+ deep cleaning and implant (despite my metal allergy and no history of gum disease last appointment with a different provider 8 months ago), without even examining my mouth. When I questioned the need for a specialist, he dismissed it and said they can start it right now. The focus was clearly on upselling expensive procedures and cosmetic work, not my actual dental health. I refused all services. My husband, who had a clean bill of health eight months ago, was suddenly told he needed $4,000+ in work 12 cavities, 16 total restorations- highly suspicious. We were presented with treatment plans including procedures never discussed and with zero insurance coverage. The staff couldn't explain the charges and simply said "I don't know." After all the calls to "verify insurance," I was told I owed a $59 deductible (my plan is $50) and was never told the provider I booked wasn't there. I refused to pay, not because I couldn't, but because I won't participate in what feels like a scam. This office operates under multiple business names and websites, which feels like a bait-and-switch. Bottom line: This place is a high-pressure sales operation, not a trustworthy dental practice. For my last few dental visits, I've seen Dr. Silviya, who I found to be a wonderful dentist. I've always especially hated Novocain injections, but Dr. Sylviya's injections were quick and painless. We switched over to this dentist after our pediatric dentist went out of network. At first, they were okay, did the cleaning for my daughter but recommended she get a procedure done which I said not at this time. 6 months later, we are in for another cleaning and they are pushing the procedure again (which had not been recommended by any of the other THREE dentists she has seen) and telling me she has to get braces right now at 7. I explained that I'm fine with her getting braces but not at 7, to which they told me my daughter will then need to have surgery down the line if I don't complete the procedures now. They said this in front of my 7 year old which of course made her very upset and we switched her out of this practice after that. My husband also had a negative experience where his cleaning took 1.5 hours. At the end of the appointment they told him he has 3 cavities and needs to get a tooth removed and also fitted him for a retainer which they were going to charge him $1000 for and he didn't even want it. I don't understand how you can go from having a clean bill of health to 6 months later needing a tooth removed. We of course went to get a second opinion and when that dentist called them, they said they had no record of him needing a tooth out. What kind of place is this? read more

This dental office is top notch. I've been going to the same dentist since 2001 before they were renamed. I was blessed to have Dr Aleman for so many years(he's still there) . Now I'm blessed to have Dr Silvia as my dentist. Both of them are so caring and I've NEVER had pain while they worked on my teeth (and trust me, I've had a lot of work done). Even the pain from the medicine in the needle is very minimal. The Hygienist ,David, is just like his uncle, Dr Aleman, does great work and is caring. The dental assistants are all so sweet. Beautiful office, so nice and clean. Immediately my mom and I were greeted with smiles and pleasantries. This was the first time we had gone to Awesome Dentistry and the experience was amazing. We were each handed iPads to fill in the medical paperwork, which Joslyn and the lady shadowing her explained how the process worked. Everyone today was so kind and quick. The hygienist was great, the doctor was great, and even the new hygienist that was observing was great. The room I was brought to was so modern and had tiles lining the walls. Everything was the newest technology, and I was thrilled to be able to watch TV while getting X-rays done. A friend of mine recommended this dentist office to me. At first I was hesitant to go because it's an hour away from where I live, which is in Chicago. I ended up calling and scheduling an appointment. I needed a regular cleaning and wanted braces. The manager who called me to schedule the appt was super kind and attentive to my needs. Her name is Jocelyn. I can honestly say it's probably because of her tone and professionalism over the phone that I decided to go there. I went for my first visit for cleaning. The office is super clean. The receptionists are kind. The dentist, Dr. Aleman is everything you need in a dentist. He seriously took his time and answered all my questions. All I kept thinking was "why isn't he in a hurry or brushing me off?" This office isn't like other offices where the dr is always in a hurry or You get brushed off so the dr can get to His/her next patient. None of that is going on in this office. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist to his awesome assistant are all great. At the end of my first visit, the dr had already came up with a plan for me to get scheduled for my braces. By my second visit I had my braces placed. He and his assistant explained everything as they were moving along. Again. They weren't rushing the process or making me feel like just another patient. I felt like I mattered and that means so much to me. Dr Aleman's assistant explained everything to me about my braces and how to take care of myself and gave me a little take home kit. The office manager is always available to answer any questions that I have, which again, I must say is awesome. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this is the office to go to for great dental care. It's totally worth my hour drive and I'm glad I formed a great relationship with this office. THERE IS NOTHING AWESOME ABOUT THE DENTAL SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED FROM DR. RAUL ALEMAN.. instead I ended up with an untreated infection, abscess and needing 2 teeth removed!! Dr. Aleman and his staff neglected to to inform me that I had an infection and instead put a filling on a tooth that had an infection, which got worst over a period of time.. and during this time I was going to routine appointments and never informed that I had an infection. I found out I had an infection came after a temporary filling fell out 2 days after I had the initial work necessary for getting a crown was completed. After the temporary filling dislodged my tooth started killing me, so I immediately called the dental office & Joselyn scheduled me for a 3pm appointment, but when I arrived the office was closed. I started panicking because my tooth was aching and nobody answered from the 24 hour service listed on their website and I sent an email from my car. I decided to contact my dental insurance and the representative was empathetic after hearing me in tears she took the time to help me find a few local dentist in close proximity that were open late which ended being helpful because I was able to find a dentist that took care of me and unveiled all the issues that Dr. Aleman tried to cover up! This dentist informed me that the reason my tooth was hurting so bad after the filling was due to Dr. Aleman's office putting a filing on top of a cavity. Since this dentist had never seen me before he did an X-ray, which also revealed the infection on the other side of my mouth and he asked why wasn't that taken care of first because it looked like an old infection and abscess which would require surgery. I was in total shock! After the new dentist took care of my aching tooth, hours later Joselyn calls me back stating that she taken a Benadryl & she forgot the office was closed, then she starts giving me instructions on how to temporarily relieve my tooth pain I should go to the a Walgreens or CVS to purchase tooth bond until the dentist office reopens. At that point I had been through hell, so I told her that I had already been to another dentist. I ended up switching to the dentist that took care of me and then Jocelyn sent me an incorrect bill for services that was not done for myself and my daughter and when I called the office numerous times she's having the staff screen the calls and when I finally do get her on the phone she is rude and eventually puts the phone down... very unprofessional! I asked to talked to Dr. Aleman and informed him of all that I had found out about the infection that he continuously failed to inform me about and how a cavity was covered with a filling and now I had to go see an Endodontic because the infection and his solution was for me to allow him to fix the problem. Then he starts bad mouthing the dentist that exposed the issues I was now having because of his negligence. The fact that I had an infection for an extended period of time that could have affected my health and him and his team tried to cover up didn't seem to concern him because all he did was deflect. I ended up paying thousands of dollars to fix what he failed to do and I was treated terrible in the process, so I am telling my story to hopefully help someone else. read more

wow. i've always had a fear of dentists because of terrible past experiences, with dentists to receptionists. but this place! so welcoming with a calming atmosphere. the receptionists are always friendly and with a smile on their faces. jocelyn is the sweetest! she made sure to go through the payments/insurance/treatment plan with me to make sure all my questions get answered. they offer a 24h support, which was helpful when i had an infection with my wisdom tooth. same day appt. afterwards, had my 4 wisdom teeth extraction and it went smoothly! dr aleman is super nice and talked me through the whole procedure. everyone here is sweet and that's really helpful when you're anxious. 5/5 stars this place is the best!! thank you guys. read more
