Okay, so who really likes going to the dentist? Not too many people, but my first experience with OBS was about 2 years ago. At that time Siraj was the office manager, and she was the first point of contact for me as a new patient. I hate picking new dentist, and I am HUGE on customer service, so I always call and talk to the front desk staff and ask a few questions. If I feel rushed or like I was a burden I move on to another office without even making an appointment. Siraj was the first person to actually take time to answer my questions, and even called me back with additional information, and I wasn't even a patient yet at that time. Needless to say, I was sold from that point on!!! Sadly, I moved about 6 months later, and had to find a new dentist. However, this past year, I moved back to the area and was even more impressed with the current staff and setup of the OBS office. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go back to Oakbrook Smiles. Financial reasons I had to stop going to the dentist for a year or so. And had some trouble with my teeth but since I've been back with Oakbrook Smiles they have really helped me trying to get back healthy gums and teeth. I have terrible dental anxiety and have had HORRIBLE experiences with dentists. My teeth have gotten SO bad that I couldn't delay a trip to the dentist any longer. I googled dentists in my area and was surprised to find one with a star rating that's almost a perfect 5. I was actually skeptical that these were true reviews because a good dentist is really hard to find. My first appointment was a consult. I was surprised to see how much time and detail Dr. Haque went into with my treatment plan. He told me which treatments were required, and which we can put on hold for now. He was so patient with listening to my concerns that I felt absolutely at ease during this consult and decided to go with his office for my treatments. I had some issues getting my insurance to approve my treatment plan, but the lady in charge of finance (Janae) went out of her way to make sure we were able to figure out the financial aspect. I went in for my second (of many) treatment today and I am glad I decided to go with this office. My dental anxiety is put at ease with the help of their luxurious warm neck pillows, essential oils diffusing in both the patients rooms and the bathrooms, and the warm face towel the generous staff offered me on my way out. Oh, and I can't forget the helpful dental assistant applying chapstick throughout my procedure to ensure I am not left with flaky, dry dental lips. These small touches REALLY make all the difference. They are fantastic in every area! From the front desk staff (so friendly!!), to the hygienists to Dr. Haque! Postponing my trip to see a dentist did NOT serve me well...I came to Dr. Haque with plenty of tooth problems. So, I can speak to more than just the quality of their tooth cleanings. I'm impressed with their high-tech equipment...and paired with Dr. Haque's explanations of the procedures, I am never left guessing what is next...I know more about my teeth than I did before, that's for sure! My all time favorite dentist! My family used to see Dr Haque back in 2004-2007 until our insurance changed and we could no longer see him. For 8 long years we went from dentist to dentist and because of insurance issues went to 3 different ones, none of which was anywhere near as pleasant as Dr. Haque. When my husband started a new job this year with a PPO dental plan, the first thing I did was call Oak Brook Smiles to see if they accepted this insurance and I was thrilled that they did! We all went in for appointments and I couldn't believe how the office had changed since 2007. It's completely updated with brighter lighting, a nice coffee and water station and pleasant receptionists. That's just the beginning. I have NEVER EVER had such a thorough cleaning/exam. Our hygienist first takes pics (of your smile, then individual pics of teeth), then x-rays, then pokes at each section of gum to determine gum health and puts the x-rays up on a screen and tells you all of the issues, before she ever cleans! I had some periodontal disease which I'm being treated for now, but it has already improved greatly. The procedure is expensive, but they let you know up front the cost and what insurance covers and I was able to make multiple payments. My recent follow-up visit really tipped the scales, forcing me to write my first Yelp review. Not only do they give you a very warm cloth to wipe your face after a cleaning, (did I mention the neck pillow??) plus a nice little packet containing a tooth brush, toothpaste and floss, but she knew I was going to be going shopping afterward and it was pouring outside. They GAVE me an umbrella! Who does that? I couldn't believe the concern shown for me and the generosity. Plus, I brought my daughters today for fillings, and the hygienist remembered why I was shopping that day and asked how my big job (for which I was shopping) went. Dr. Haque and his staff are professional, caring, friendly and just plain awesome. Nothing but good things to say about my visit to Oak Brook Smiles today! This is as good as it gets when it comes to an experience at the dentist. I walked in today with my Groupon, was handed a few pages of forms to fill out, and was shown back shortly after. The dental hygienist, LeeAnna, gave me a tour of their sparkling-clean office, took my blood pressure, administered my x-rays, and cleaned my teeth. LeeAnna was very friendly and nice to talk to. (When I didn't have tools in my mouth!) She also checked the density of my teeth for potential cavities with a new machine. I'd say that Oak Brook Smiles has invested in some pretty awesome technology, which is always a plus. LeeAnna noticed a hole in my tooth, which could be a potential cavity. This was confirmed by Dr. Haque when he came in to see me. (Oh, and you get a warm, moist towelette while you wait to see the doctor. Aaaah, relaxing.) When he came in, His first words were, "Hi, how are you? Tell me about yourself!" It's great to be greeted by a friendly doctor who shows interest in seeing you as a person and not just a patient. I enjoyed them so much that I am writing this review and going back tomorrow to have the hole in my tooth filled. As far as dental work outside the regular cleaning, I liked that I was not pressured to pursue further treatment. They explained to me my options, a reasonable time and fee schedule, and let me know that it was my choice to take the next step. I also purchased some Sonicare brush heads (a 3-pack), for which they gave me a $5 mail-in rebate to go along with it! I consider a Sonicare brush an investment in my dental health, but buying replacement brush heads can be a bit of a pain. My family inherited Dr. Haque when he bought the practice. He is the most personable and technically adept dentist I've ever met. I've seen a lot of upgrades in the office that I wouldn't have expected- a video arcade game was in the waiting room for a while- and there are cold beverages and Kureg coffee (take the mug). Along with a staff that's always eager to accommodate. This review is precipitated by the help they gave my son today. He had dental surgery recently, received the usual prescription medications (containing narcotics) and just took an out of state job that requires drug testing. It was a struggle to comply with the privacy regulations and provide the required information, but they did it. He couldn't have a chance at this career without their over-the-top efforts. He is a crook! This dentist and his sneaky staff will jump through hoops to try and screw your medical insurance co. The clown pulled 3 teeth and tried to charged my ins co to the tune of over $30,000. He tried to hit them with pre-existing conditions or should I say his well trained sneaky ins girl in the office that sits you in the little room and tried to come up with everything under the sun to whack my Med ins co with. When they denied his claim, he made his office girl hit me with a $8,000 bill. I wanted no post bridges, this is why I had the teeth pulled to get rid of the root canals/amalgam that were already performed and one that I needed to have done he knew I did not want any metal in my mouth so my bridges were going to be non-post bridges yet he did bone graphs on all three teeth knowing I was not going to need a post. The two dentists that I've had to see to fix his mess are astonished and ashamed and said that he gives dentist a bad name!!!!! BUYER BEWARE side note if you have a chronic illness such as Lyme Disease he will feed on it. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Oakbrook Smiles from Maria at the front desk to the assistants and hygienists to both Dr's- EVERYONE is SO super nice and accommodating! Y'all, this office is so modern and equipped with so many things to make your visit as comfortable as possible. It is very apparent that they have thought about everything here, including a heated neck pillow while your service is being performed, your own Pandora playlist, and a heated lavendar scented towel when you leave! My hygienist LeeAnna was so thorough and detailed in explaining what she was finding with my teeth, while she was cleaning them and helped me to understand my prescribed treatment plan. There was no judgement on slacking on my gums, just honest professional advice and deft, compassionate work. She always checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable, and was always very kind and understanding. Both Dr.'s Haque and Isaac are wonderful and have a great friendly demeanor. I was so excited to find this place and after my first visit I had reviewed them with 5 stars. I was excited to find a local dentist with a technician that was so knowledgable. Agnes was very informative and made me feel so comfortable therefor the 2 stars has nothing to do with her. I came for my second visit and asked to confirm the amount that would be charged before I went back, keep in mind they had already printed me out a quote at my first visit. When they printed me out my quote for 1 of 2 of my deep cleanings I was shocked. They had more than doubled the amount they said they were going to charge me. When I brought this up to them the girl at the front desk acted confused and stated that this was the same amount. I plan to upload the picture of both quotes next to each other to warn people that what they did was not correct. Money aside the quality of service I was given during my first visit was great so it's unfortunate that they try to switch numbers around hoping others won't notice. read more
