This is a small sushi & Asian fusion restaurant that's big on food and hospitality.I had the jalapeno yellowtail for an appetizer and it was the best I've ever had, everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. wifey had the spider roll and said it was bursting with flavor. the waitress we had made sure we had everything we needed and that we was enjoying our food. To top it off the owner gave us a free bottle of sake to take home as a gift. We will definitely be visiting this place again to try out more things on there menu. read more

We had ordered from here once before, and the food was great that we decided to go back here tonight. My boyfriend came back with the food, but in taking the food out of the car the bag ripped and a roll combo fell out and all over the front lawn. We called to let them know that we would come back with the spilled roll and would appreciate anything that they would do (especially considering that they were busy with it being ash wednesday and valentines day). Kind of off the beaten path. The outside looked more like a Chinese take out. Even my girlfriend exclaimed, "do they have dine in?" Rest assured, they do! Small establishment. Covid protocol was followed. We rang a bell outside the main entrance to announce our arrival. Hand sanitizer was available. Masks were worn upon entry and removed upon sitting. Staff all wore masks. We ordered the steamed Shumai as an appetizer. Only 4 and small but delicious nonetheless! Ordered. Creamy saki for my beverage and girl friend ordered glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I loved my choice. Girlfriend wasn't impressed with her. Ordered the Love Boat Sushi. It was an assortment of Sushi and sashimi including the Tuna Love roll (spicy tuna inside with pepper tuna avocado on top with sweet chili saucy) and the What A Roll (shrimp tempura jalapeño avocado crab on top). The presentation was beautiful. Everything was delicious. Our total bill was $109.00. The Love Boat was $63 and worth it considering my girlfriend and I would have ordered two rolls apiece and they averaged on about $15 each. Would definitely stop in again! read more

First time at Liki and saw some good reviews so I had to give it a try. It's a small cozy place in Amityville. The food was great from appetizer to dessert. Prices were very reasonable. Calamari was large and crispy. Salad was crunchy. The sushi was great. Tasted fresh and all the food was prompt. Highlight of the night was the orange chicken. Even after coming here for over a decade, I'm still always left extremely satisfied by both the food and experience that comes with it. This is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant to revisit because both the owners (Richard and Julie) and staff do an excellent job at making you feel welcome at Liki. I've probably gotten the "Fantasy Roll" well over the estimate I could guess and I still love it every time I order it. After all of these years, their food still continues to impress me which makes me excited to return each time. I cannot say enough about how much I've grown to love and appreciate this place. I certainly encourage other people to give it a try if contemplating doing so seeing how it's my favorite sushi spot. Ok so tonight was our first time trying this place. We usually order from "The One Sushi" and well we saw this place and decided to give them a shot. We dined in and Sammy, the waitress, attended to us. She was super nice! She answered all our questions on orders and recommended some items on the menu. She made great conversation with us and made us felt like we were at home. The food... AMAZING!! The sushi was so so fresh and delicious! She recommended seafood udon noodles and that was definitely one of the best noodles we have had. Food was just delicious. Everything was on point and no disappointment. Totally disappointed with Liki. I went on Sunday, June 4th around 7PM with my mom and friend. I chose Liki because I normally have such a good experience there. Well this time sucked and I was pretty upset about it. Since moving to Manhattan, I am not on LI as much so when I am home I like to eat the foods that I miss such as Liki. First, we order appetizers: crab ragoons, beef negamaki, edamame. They came out relatively quick. The crab ragoons were super greasy which they normally aren't and they had hardly any flavor. The beef negamaki and the edamame were tasty. Then, when we received our appetizers we ordered 4 sushi rolls for dinner: what a roll, Mexican roll, and two other rolls. Well we didn't see those sushi rolls for an hour. When I finally got up to ask where our food was they were bringing over the sushi boat. They placed it on the table and started to dig in because at this point we were starving. I thought something looked off because there was a roll with mango on top and I knew for a fact we did not order anything with mango. When I went and got the waitress she realized she brought the wrong sushi boat to us and that it was for a different table. She proceed to take the sushi boat behind the counter. Pick off and throw out the sushi pieces that we ate and then BRING IT TO THE GENTLEMAN WHO IT WAS REALLY FOR!!!!! OMG EW. How disgusting and unsanitary. I was so taken back I could not believe my eyes. From that point on I watched them make our sushi which took another 30 minutes. When we finally received our rolls they were correct but at that point no one really wanted to eat anything from here. This really sucks because this is normally my favorite sushi place but after I saw them give the customer sushi that had been touched by my table I do not think I will be going back there. To top it off, they didn't even give us a complimentary dessert or take anything off the bill. BAD customer service and I think they just lost a few customers from this experience. read more

Fresh, reasonably priced sushi in a trendy atmosphere with a friendly staff. They have a shrimp tempura roll better than anywhere else. Try out the special rolls, as well. I finally gave some of them a try a few weeks ago and they are amazing. They offer a wide variety with some of the most delicious flavor combinations. I came here with my parents for dinner and I was extremely impressed with the food I got. When we arrived we were seated right away at a small table in the corner. The waitress came and brought us some menus and asked about our drink orders. We placed our orders after we got our drinks. The service was ok, the waitresses were very attentive and kept refilling our drinks and checking on us but it took quite a while for our actual food to come out. I got the Sushi Sashimi combo with a dragon roll instead of a spicy tuna roll. The quality of the fish was absolutely amazing. It was so tender and the pieces were very good sizes. My dragon roll was also tasty and not drenched in eel sauce which happens a lot so I enjoyed it a lot. After dinner we decided to get the fried red bean ice cream. The ice cream itself was good, but the batter was a bit grainy and it fell apart easily. Overall my experience here was a nice one, I will definitely be returning because the fish was just wonderful. read more

The question is how have I never written a review for this place? We literally would go here twice a week sometimes to the point where we had to back off for a little bit because we just enjoy it that much. The staff here are family. We've celebrated holidays birthdays anniversaries here each year for years. The fish is always fresh. Sean, one of the sushi guys will always make you the best sushi or any type of role you are looking for. Not in the mood for something on the menu tell Sean your favorite items and he'll make you a sushi roll to die for exactly what you wanted. We've met life Long friends sitting at the sushi bar for hours and hours Sipping sake. The sake is probably the reason I haven't written a review. Sake does take over at times so go Thirsty.
