I really like Sakan Bento! We order here through Ubereats periodically and the sushi is always very good. The quality is good for the price. Sometimes they forget to send things which is disappointing but happens everywhere. Today I got the triple sushi entree and a mango avocado roll. The salad was half full at best and the miso soup was okay, not great. But the fish was excellent albeit a little too much rice under the fish but no big deal. Sad they missed our spicy Kani salad. But they respect the no Wasabi or ginger request I had so that's good. We like it and will keep it in our rotation for delivery sushi! read more

Wanted something different while working late. Was in the mood for ramen/soup. Yelp brought me here. I've had this place bookmarked for a while, so it was time. After a quick browse of the menu, I went with roasted pork and shrimp dumpling soup, and for sushi I went with the American Roll. For my ramen, I opted for udon noodles. I haven't had udon for a while, so I figured why not? Soup was great. Since I got delivery, I was happy that the broth was packed separately than the rest. Broth had great flavor and wasn't salty. Roasted pork was tender and the shrimp dumplings were yummy. The American roll consisted of salmon, and spicy salmon. It was very fresh and yummy. Got spring rolls, and eel & tobiko sushi. Service was quick and fast. They were super busy at 7pm with many Grubhub orders. I had a small order, but because of all the large orders in front of me, my order took 10mins. The eel was really good, fresh and still a bit warm. The tobiko sushi got squished? It was more oval shaped than round shaped. It seems like this place needs more workers. There were only 2 people in the front and 1 person making sushi. The tobiko was bright red which was a suprise, since I'm used to the orange one with less saltiness. But overall, in a pinch it's a cool spot to check out. They still don't have indoor seating and they still have a little cubbie hole to pass the food to you from the front counter. read more

The wait times are now longer (today took 45 min in person for 3 bento boxes which now cost me $39). The place was empty at the time. Still 5 stars for the sushi. Tonight's fare consisted of Salmon Avocado rolls & Red Curry Chicken. Rolls were on point as usual. I actually saved them for breakfast tomorrow( Rewrap in Saran Wrap & rice will stay moist). Don't judge, it's still good. I keep it refrigerated then iced down in my work cooler. Any who onto the Red Curry Chicken.... Not bad but not as great as the sushi. But the price point on all items are great! Pros: 1. They give you an immense amount, about 32oz. 2. It had an enormous amount of chicken 3. Includes a pint of fresh hot rice 4. Nice assortment of veggies, eggplant, peppers, broccoli 5. Tofu also! Yummy! Con: 1. Lack of flavor, actually bland. I just wanted to order some comfort food after a long day of work, so I came across this restaurant and decided to order the pork with shrimp wontons and I got it with the rice noodles. Who gave this place 2x$$? Literally the only menu item over $10 is the scallop teriyaki... The portions are huge and you get an entree, salad and soup for under $10. And it's good! I especially recommend the tofu teriyaki for vegetarians, and the miso soup is safe to (no bonito flakes). They serve the teriyaki sauce and salad dressing on the side, so you can make it as rich or as light as you like. The decor is nothing fancy, but it's clean, and there's plenty of room to sit. This restaurant is the diamond in the rough. I love sushi and I usually go to Oakdale for it but I must say they have the freshest fish and the best sushi I have tasted in a long time. Who knew sushi in a strip mall could be so good. I got a call from my food bo Christina J. She suggested this place because here father recommended it. I was unsure because I only get sushi from higher end restaurants because it is generally fresh. We walked in and my senses exploded. The interior is bright and cheery. There is absolutely no smell of seafood and the restaurant is very clean. The rolls are out of control good and cheap. I had the wellwood roll and it was supposed to be spicy. Guess what it actually was very spicy it was really excellent. The other roll that had eel and avocado was also very good. They have a soda fountain as well as canned and bottled soft drinks. The fact that there product is so good yet so cheap is amazing. Meanwhile they make it so easy to order. You can order right off of Yelp. I Strongly recommend all yelpers to download the Yelp app called Eat 24 it makes it so easy to order from this place and other restaurants. Compliment : Good prices! The young boy at the counter is very professional. Negatives : Unfortunately, the woman who looks like she runs/owns the business has an absolutely terrible attitude. They made the mistake of messing up, and giving me someone else's order.. Without checking the bag because it was stapled shut; I proceeded to walk to my car and drive home. After they called to let me know(while being almost home at this point)( I live 10 minutes away - two towns over ) I turned around right away to not only bring it back - but to receive the order I placed. The woman proceeded to call me back AGAIN in less than 5 minutes time to let me know that the people are there "waiting for their food". Basically trying to rush me. All while giving me an attitude. Excuse me, but you were the ones who messed up the orders.. I walk in to bring back the food, and she gives me a very dirty look which made me uncomfortable to be there. Yelling how she needs to check the fully sealed bag that I brought back in, Incase I "took something". The other customers (two young men) were nice enough to believe I wouldn't do such a thing. I understand she wanted to second check for them, but their is a certain way to handle situations with your customers.. Why not re-make all of the food since it was sent out with the wrong people, if you're THAT worried. The department of heath would not recommend having the WRONG food sent out to random people, and then STILL given to the ones who originally placed that order. Gross... read more
