    Hibiscus lemonade was tasty

The patio is really cute. Definitely perfect for a nice day. The inside has three booths with three high tops. The staff seemed friendly. There's quite a selection of beverages. Even if you're not looking for coffee, they have chai, matcha and lemonade drinks. I tried the LBC (hibiscus lemonade) which was delicious. The iced chai was also good. Unfortunately the waffle machine was broken so we couldn't order one of those. There were several flavors of muffins but they were kind of dry. The chocolate chip one was pretty sparse on chips. Bathroom was clean and the drive up window is convenient. Parking was plenty. Cute cozy spot.

Fun lil shop on the corner. Very clean. Polite and customer friendly staff. Great tasting coffee - house brew! Will come back for specialty drinks and food options. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Dog friendly!

    Hot Peppermint Mocha Latte

I can't believe I've been missing out on this gem in downtown Jacksonville! If you wanna grab a hot latte with a breakfast sandwich on a cold morning, the Lil Bean Cafe does not disappoint! I've been there twice in the past month the first time grabbing a hot Peppermint Mocha Latte and a Bacon Egg & Cheese croissant, and today snagging a hot Peppermint White Mocha Latte and a Ham Egg & Cheese croissant. Both visits the latte wasn't overly sweet and was steaming hot, the perfect pick me up on a winter morning. But the breakfast croissants were the star of the show, the whole fried eggs were seasoned to perfection and the croissants were soft and buttery. As you can tell I was so busy gobbling down the croissant that I forgot to take a pic until it was almost gone! Definitely give this place a try if you want a real breakfast sandwich!

The food was great and fast. Relatively clean space. The service is kind and again fast. Perfect morning stop. They do call in orders as well. The have an extensive coffee flavor menu as well!

Not on the menu, made exactly how it's suppose to.

I come here for the Vietnamese iced coffee, no where else do they get it right. Nice limited selection of pastries, so once they are gone they are gone. Sandwiches are all very good, unfortunately by the time I get here their breakfast selection is no longer offered. Place is very small just cozy, the inside fills up quickly so if you have a large party you will have to sit outside. They have a drive through option but I've yet to use it.

Very festive and delicious Halloween drink special

The AWESOME latte actually contained espresso resulting in a more coffee forward taste rather than the muddy milk flavour that many other places try to pass off as lattes. The staff was friendly and efficient. The bistro itself was cozy and the bathrooms spotless. Super impressed by the Bistro 1940, will definitely be back!

We stepped inside (to escape the heat, at the minimum), and checked out the menu. We found the food menu interesting enough to order and stay. In addition to food, coffee and tea (matcha & chai) and adult beverages are served. My wife and I each ordered the Hug-A-Hero sandwich, that with each purchase as the menu states, the store donates a portion of the proceeds to the Hug-A-Hero organization, that "brings comfort to military families." We ordered it because the sandwich components looked tasty. And the sandwiches arrived impeccably crafted and sliced, with the flavors we hoped for. The goat cheese and house-made creamy pesto aioli really set this sandwich apart from just being another turkey sandwich on some fancy bread. For sides we chose the creamy potato salad with pieces of potato -nicely blended and smooth taste- and the pasta, Arugala, pine nut salad. Service was good. (Side note: First time I've been named "Blue Shirt Guy Couple" on my order ticket and it made me smile). Seating in the narrow (but normal layout for this building) space is organized by tables on one side and chairs and a counter down the other side. Business was steady during this lunch time and the bistro definitely deserves a return visit.

If you're one of those weirdo soft city slicker folks, take your happy go lucky ass to Jersey Mike's. If you're a local, looking for a primo sub shop, there ya have it. Steve is a real nice guy, service with a smile. The ambiance? It's a sub shop, not a fuggin Ruth's Chris, nothing fancy. Get over yourself, it's a Sammy not a fill-et mig-nins, ok.

The menu is fairly simple and prominently displayed high behind the register and prep area. We were greeted by a nice young lady who also took our order. We ordered the club sandwich, pasta salad, lemonade, ham/turkey/roast beef sandwich, side salad, and a water. I was a little disappointed they use canola oil. Our food was delivered after a short wait. Everything looked good and we also liked the sandwiches being a normal size. It's rare these days. Sometimes it's nice eating normal size portions. Overall everything was pretty tasty. We enjoyed our meal here and will definitely return. Recommend giving them a try
