I love going to this little coffee shop because everyone is so nice! I think their Carmel Macchiato is their best drink, but really I've enjoyed every drink I've gotten from them. Their prices are super reasonable as well. The friend staff that goes above and beyond to help you really makes this place a must stop if you're in the north county area! read more

The coffee is always, always too strong. they act like everyone must love bitter cowboy coffee so go out of their way to add espresso shots or they put cubes of frozen coffee instead of ice cubes when i ask for extra oatmilk or sweetener in my drinks. I've never had a cup that was to my liking despite visiting 4 times so I've come to the conclusion that the staff must be incompetent. Do not bother going here. You're paying starbucks prices for rude and unprofessional employees that want to serve the coffee "their way or the highway." and by rude I mean totally ignoring me while I wait for my coffee so they can talk to other customers that are their "besties." Just make your own cup of coffee at home--that's what I always have to do because of condescending baristas like these. read more

Stopped by here the other morning for the first time. I let the employee know it was our first time there and they were so helpful with recommendations. We got a vanilla iced coffee, a mocha, and two pastries. When they brought us our drinks, they let us know that one of our drinks was on the house as it was our first time there! Such a nice surprise. They also asked if we had any kids or dogs in the car since they give out little freebies. This place is a gem! read more

This place is such a gem! My partner and I were planning on going to downtown encinitas for coffee, but we were so glad that we found this place on Yelp (the drinks were affordable, delicious, and the service was quick)! I had a frozen expresso and my partner had a cappuccino. This is a drive-thru stand and they are pretty quick and efficient- we waited only a few minutes for our drinks. I always pass by this spot and notice that it always has customers so i figured it has to be good. I was in the area and gave it a try... WOW good thing i did. I ordered a Banana Mocha with almond milk. When i ordered he asked me if i like penut butter and i said yeah so he recommended to add penut butter so i did. It was sooooo good! I recently discovered Lil Jungle Java and it rocks! The staff is super welcoming, the coffee is amazing, and the service is incredibly fast!!! Just like Cheers... every body knows your name here at Lil' Jungle Java. Come here enough and they will know your order too! Scott and Tiana are father/daughter owners. They are super friendly, make an amazing organic latte for sure, and have excellent prices. Daily and monthly specials are featured on their menu as well as Foursquare where every tenth visit/beverage you get a free one. You would think by the reaction of the staff everytime I drive up for coffee that I was bringing them all a bag of hundred dollar bills. But that is how they treat all of their customers. And if it's your first time the coffee is on them. (That may only be when the owner is there) . I almost always have my dog with me and they always offer her a treat. And they aren't your crappy little milk bone treats they are the good kind. You know the kind I can't afford. Service is quick, sweek and efficient. Coffee is good and you have a pick of pretty much any flavor you can find at Starbucks. They also have a fresh selection of muffins and scones. And if you forget your dog don't worry they usually have a couple there you can pet. I love to support local small business and Lil' Jungle Jave is a pleasure to support. read more

In a vast sea of strange (and let's face it, creepy) mermaids, I found Lil' Jungle Java. They stand alone (quite literally), offering amazing coffee to any who can resist that two finned siren's call... their coffee is expertly brewed, all of it is ORGANIC & FAIR TRADE! (a major plus in my book!) My drink of choice is regular coffee with just a dash of cream... no sugar... just coffee the way it was meant to be enjoyed! SOOO I can't really comment on the rest of their fare; flavored, blended, smoothies... oh they've got it, but some other yelper is going to have to rate them on that... I had been wanting to try this lil spot for a while and I'm glad I finally did! My coffee was free cuz it was my first visit... the fact that they bought my coffee during a global pandemic just because it was my first visit says a lot for a small business. It really made my morning, coffee was delicious with coffee cubes to not water down the coffee! To top it off the staff was super sweet and helpful. Everytime we go to Encinitas to visit my family, we always have to stop here multiple times during our trip. My mom introduced us to this place, and their banana mocha drinks, and they are sooo good. Eveyone is super nice, and give out dog treats if your pups are with you. read more

One of my favorite places to go for coffee for many years! The team is amazing and works together to get me on my way fast with a wonderful cup of coffee. The drive through is great on my way to work. Never let a long line make you drive past-they are fast! Traded in Starbucks! I absolutely love supporting small and local businesses, especially during these crazy times. Gave this spot a try and will never go back to anything else! The service is fantastic and they give you that family/local feel. On top of that, the coffee is AMAZING! I am a huge lover of cold brew and they do it right. I totally get why the regulars give this spot high ratings. The folks working here are super friendly and cheerful. I wouldn't classify this as third-wave coffee. If you are coming here for a sweet concoction, this is probably a great place to grab and go with your drink. If you are coming for pure coffee or a simple drink without much decoration, the coffee flavor is not as balanced as more coffee-obsessed spots. read more

This place is absolutely amazing I love the women who work here and there attitudes. I work in the same shopping center and they always make sure to give me my discount. I love that the ice coffee comes with espresso ice cubes. That way your coffee never gets run down actually it gets stronger the longer you leave it. I don't normally get coffee but when I do I love to come to this little spot, the coffee is very affordable and very potent. You can't find this taste of coffee anywhere else honestly. I recommend the spot if you are driving by or if you're just interested come on by and try it for yourself I guarantee you won't be disappointed if your coffee lover just like I Can be. I definitely need to explore the menu a bit more too see what other surprises wait for me there. read more

Excellent coffee which is the number one factor in whether or not I'll return to a coffee shop. So 5 stars for that. My only issue (and it's a small issue) is that it's a two sided drive up venue with a small staff on hand, meaning if there's even a slight line, you'll be waiting a while to get your blended mocha in your hands. However, after all is said and done, I'm always willing to wait for delicious coffee, provided I have the time to spare. read more

I was a contractor and got burned out on collecting. Well the back breaking work to. Then I got into this small coffeee business and guess what?? Everyone is nice & friendly. Such a difference. Luckily, we found a parking spot nearby and we were able to explore around the area. This time, we were able to walk around to see what else was located nearby. While walking down Coast Highway, we saw some large advertisements for Broad Street Doughnuts. The photos were colorful and we were in the mood to try something new. We had never heard of Broad Street Doughnuts, so we were hoping that these would be delicious. Broad Street Doughnuts is located off of PCH, in the city of Encinitas. This is their only location on the west coast. They have 3 other locations in New Jersey, so it's great that they opened up a shop out here. They share a parking lot with other businesses, so parking is relatively easy. Their doughnuts are made to order. You will not get that stale, day old taste when you take your first bite.They are fried up after you place your order and then the toppings are applied. It beats staring are doughnuts through a case and ordering what may have been sitting there for hours on end. The menu is on the wall and it's totally visual. Each combo is displayed in a vivid photo. You can select from those or from the doughnuts that are near the register. The doughnuts at the front counter are not featured on the visual menu, so you may need to ask about their toppings/combos. I got a classic rainbow sprinkled doughnuts, along with a half glazed and half chocolate sprinkled doughnut. We also ordered a cotton candy doughnut that had what looked like dried out cotton candy. Delicious!!!! These doughnuts were light and fluffy. They were warm to the touch and incredibly fresh. They are a bit smaller in size, when compared to an average size doughnut. They seem prefect in size because you could walk the calories off while exploring around Encinitas. Broad Street Doughnuts was a pleasant surprise. Sometimes the visual representation isn't always an indicator of how good the product will be. In this case, the product lived up to the visual representation. We have passed by Broad Street Doughnuts many times, and finally had an opportunity to stop by. We were pleasantly surprised with both the product and how friendly the staff were with all of the customers. We will definitely be back when we are back in the area!

Been here 3 -5 times in the past 2 months. Today was the topper though. They gave us menus when we walked in and despite 3 different employees walking right by, over a 10 minute period, none of them acknowledged us. Not even the server serving the table right next to us. So I get up and walk to the register where 3 employees are hovering around the front counter, nobody really doing anything that seemed urgent. I let them know we've been sitting and waiting for a good 10 min plus for someone to take our order. Gal at counter took my drink order and says someone will take my order when they bring my cappuccinos. Great, I guess we'll be waiting another 5 or so minutes to place our order. Once they took our order, food came out in a reasonable time but that was it. No checking back with us or any of the standard sit-down restaurant service. I even had to go up to register to grab my check. It's a shame a restaurant with better than average food can't perform average customer service. Pastries are solid 4.5 stars but I am giving 2 stars to see if we get the attention of the owners/management. PS. There was lipstick on my coffee cup too.
