You can place your order at the window or you can place the order over the phone. The ice cream is pretty good. The staff is a hit or miss with their kindness. Depends on who you get. It was a part of my childhood. My partner and I had been talking about a revisit and we finally made it yesterday! We had dinner in Willow Grove and knew there was a Dairy Queen close by! We were not surprised to see a line of people waiting for custard on a Sunday evening! I ordered the classic - a large vanilla and my partner ordered her favorite, a sundae with hot chocolate fudge sauce and peanuts. My first spoonful took me back to the outpost on Belmont Ave in Youngstown, Ohio! It was dreamy, creamy and so satisfying. Still a great custard!
