I was instantly overwhelmed the second I walked into Sundae World. As a first time customer, I had trouble figuring out what to order as the menu is plastered from the floor to the ceiling. There are so many different ice cream flavors, sundae options, and mixings to chose from. I ended up settling on the peanut butter shake for $7 and it was extremely good! I really like this place and the Hershey ice cream is great. I have tried a few sundaes and today I had the banana split. It was really good and the prices are competitive. Interesting place and they have a few seats inside as well as outside. Also tried the blueberry cheesecake ice cream and it was excellent. Recommend this place to everyone. read more

We came here for the first time on a Thursday around 7:30pm. There's two workers behind the icescream freezers. We got a Superman, cookies and cream/coffee house, strawberry and cotton candy. Ice scream is creamy in some parts but some parts are frozen too much where you're getting ice chips. For the most part it's decent. The experience however could improve, the kids behind the icescream are less than enthusiastic about their job and gives a little attitude when asking about what is in their specialty sundaes. I didn't appreciate the extra sass when my 10 year asked what was in one of them. It's a ice scream parlor, should happy environment! With so many options there should. Be expectation that questions will be asked. We might come back or not, won't be as excited next time. read more

Wow sensory overload. They post the menu of their specialty sundaes all over the walls so that your eyes are assaulted when you walk in. The friendly girls at the counter advised us to just look at the flavors on the freezers themselves so that we didn't get overwhelmed. It took me a good five minutes to get my bearings and ask to sample some flavors. I tried the banana pudding with bits of vanilla wafers. This ice cream tastes just like banana pudding but colder. Really good! Then I tried the pumpkin spice. It tasted just like pumpkin pie but the spice was a bit too strong. After 10 more minutes of trying to decide I finally settled on the peanut butter cookie ice cream with marshmallow topping and whipped cream. Yum. Friends got the peanut butter blast sundae, strawberry cheesecake sundae with pineapple topping, and something else I can't remember. But all were delicious. I love the many options here and that it is in fact a world of sundaes. We will be back! read more

Super disappointed that I'm writing this while sitting in the parking lot. I came here at 9:15, knowing they closed at 9:30. It looked like they were closed but some of the lights were on, the banner outside said open, and there was a girl standing behind the counter. I pulled around and decided to call to see if they were open. Either they don't have a working phone or she ignored my call. It was after the phone call I realized the lit up OPEN sign and on the door it said closed at 9:30. I went to go in and the door was locked and the girl behind the counter ran in the back. I get your shift ends in 15 minutes but at least turn the lit up open sign off before you lock the doors. read more

This place has an amazing selection of ice cream. The two females that waited on us were fantastic! Just one major problem. The entire place smelled like urine. Sundae World is a sister store to the Sundae School. I always seem to get lost trying to find my way to Sundae School (women drivers!) so this new location is AWESOME for me (not for my hips though!) because it's closer and super easy to find. They have CMP's here (as far as I can tell, it's same menu as Sundae School) which is old school up North (think Jim Thorpe area) favorite sundae (chocolate ice cream, marshmallow, peanuts). They have such a super large selection (over 60 flavors I think - it seems to change but it's always amazing). My favorite so far is the Key Lime Pie and Southern Pecan pie. My daughter loves the Dirt Sundae. One suggestion...only some sundaes come in "small" sizes. Perhaps they all do, and you simply have to ask (I will on future visit!) - but it would be great for people like me who love ice cream but try to eat healthy to have small size choices. Parking is great - of course it doesn't have the unique character that the Sundae School has - but the employees are super friendly and it's super clean and it's just as fantastically delicious! We have been trying to get in to OwowCow in Chalfont but their lines are always too long which tells me their service isn't that great so we came here. I visited Sundae World a few days ago. I knew going in that the menu was overwhelming. I stuck with a favorite of mine... chocolate and peanut butter. I ordered the Peanut Butter Blast. My daughter ordered Birthday Cake ice cream with whipped cream and jimmies. My brother ordered Over the Blue Moon (or something like that). Mine was delicious. My daughter was not thrilled with hers. My brother said his was not as fruity tasting as he thought it would be. The two employees that took our order were friendly and polite. All in all, it was a good time. As much as I wanted to like this place, I didn't. As soon as you walk in you'll feel overwhelmingly anxious. So many different flavors and combinations, I felt like my head was going to spin. Thankfully the service is good, so the employees their will guide you through the process. I saw a cute Cookie Monster sundae someone had posted on this Yelp page (ice cream covered in blue sprinkles with chocolate chip eyes and a cookie coming out of it's mouth, ADORABLE!) so I asked for that over ice cream. The ice cream was fine, but the sundae was so poorly put together that by the time it got to me it looked like Cookie Monster had 3 Red Bulls, did a line of coke and got hit by a semi, it was terrifying. Honestly, I was okay with it, now I know not to ask for anything too crazy there. Prices, service and food were all decent. The shop itself I was not a fan of. To the left of the store you'll see freezer filled to the brim with ice cream, cakes and more. The food is ugly, one ice cream cake look like it melted and refroze, and someone put it back in the freezer. I was grossed out. Will I return to this store? Probably not. read more

Lots of flavors and so many choices of sundaes and other treats, but they are skimpy on the toppings. Also, this place always seems old and dirty, despite only having been around a few years. Floors look dirty. Baseboards are brown (But the paint is white). The freezers have random bits of ice cream all over the inside. Menus are peeling off the walls. My mom and sister have been talking about this place for months. I'm so glad I finally stopped in to see what all the hype was about! When you walk in, it's a bit overwhelming. There are so many different sundae concoctions lining the walls, dozens of flavors in the freezer, and water ice for the crazies who don't like ice cream. There is certainly no lack of options! The kids working were so friendly and patient. I mentioned something looked good, and they immediately offered me a sample. After realizing we could have been there all night, I ordered the peanut butter blaster sundae- it is SUNDAE world after all. It was huge and so good! The ice cream was so creamy and heck yes to multiple toppings. There is plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. I want to go back right now to try something else. My family and I did not have a good experience at this place. Half of the staff was nice, other half was extremely rude. We went up to the counter and they didn't say anything. Ordered our stuff, didn't say anything, just handed us what we ordered. Checked us out, and again didn't say anything except the total. We got two 1 scoop ice cream cups and 1 ice cream sandwich, total was $17. I thought something was off because on what planet does an ice cream sandwich cost $8-9? I went back in and there was a different person at the checkout this time and she was very friendly, said the other girl charged us for a pack of 6 ice cream sandwiches. She called her boss and he said he'd refund us. Two days later i get a $4 refund. So for 1 tiny ice cream sandwich they still charged us $4. Amazing. Plus they didn't have waffles. You're better off getting quart of ice cream from grocery store which tastes the same for $4 for 10 people. You could also buy 20 chocolate chip cookies for $3. Then for $7 you would have 10 ice cream sandwiches that taste better and cost less. Then you could open up an ice cream stand and make millions. read more

I ordered a FROZEN cake for my daughters 4th birthday party 2 weeks in advance. I stood there for about a 1/2 hour choosing the specifics like flavor of the cake and even told him what i would like for the cake to say. I left my phone number and informed the guy that took my order that I will be in at 1:30pm on the 13th of December to pick up my daughters cake. He informed me that they will be open at that time and they'll take payment when I pick up my cake. December 13th & my daughters party starts in 10 minutes.. i go to the store on broad and cowpath to pick up my baby girls birthday cake and guess what?? THE STORE IS CLOSED!!!!!!! are you kidding me? if you guys couldn't do the cake, CALL ME and let me know that you guys CANNOT DO IT! I called the store and even the automated message said Saturday hours are from 12pm-10pm & so i left a message.. still haven't received a response! That ruined MY whole day but it wasn't about me.. it was about my little girl who deserves the WORLD! i really hope you get it together and make sure you set a procedure when it comes to ordering cakes. Its going to take me awhile before I can actually come back to your store cause I can't believe how unprofessional you guys are!!!!
