I bought a Groupon for a haircut and thought it was okay until I got home, straightened my hair, and saw some uneven and chunky parts. I liked the lady and service - she was attentive and polite. There was so shampoo service but instead water-sprayed my hair and proceeded to cut right away. I thought, well I don't know about this but if it's cheaper this way and she does a good job it's fine by me. She blow-dried only the front part and checked everything, but didn't change scissors and I felt some parts were uneven. I wasn't shown the final product on the back as they usually do with a mirror, and that's when I knew something was off. When I got home I blow-dried and straightened my hair to check the back and just as I'd thought, some parts look like random chunks were trimmed. It's not too bad, but it shouldn't have happened. The cut is also shorter than I'd asked, although that is not too big of a deal. Would I go back? I'm not sure... read more

My most recent haircut looks really cute and I have received many compliments on the cut. I showed her a photo and she was able to replicate what I wanted :) This will now be my future hair salon! This is such a great hidden gem! I've been searching for someone to cut my hair who wouldn't charge a huge amount (salons in Burbank are charging $100+ for just a haircut!!!) and I found a Groupon for Lilac hair salon. After that first cut, I knew this was the place I was going to go to from now on. Araks is a superb hairstylist, she knows exactly how to cut my long, wavy hair and takes her time to ensure it looks perfect. She'll work with you to find a time to come in and major bonus, parking is free in the little shopping center she is in. Spaces are tight but I've always been able to find something. 10 out of 10. Arex does an amazing job on your hair and you can't beat the prices. She offers numerous treatments and does a great job with color. She also does an amazing job with blow outs. I go to her before special events and she is WAY better then any other blow out I have ever had. My husband gets his hair cut every week because he enjoys experience and cut so much. We have both been going to Arex for 2+ years and are so excited she has her own shop. By calling ahead, neither of us have ever had to wait for a cut. But I can't even explain how much I LOVE my recent color! She gave my highlights just like I wanted. It's not easy getting a great blonde and she nailed it, not rusty at all and ashy like I love.
