All in all, you won't be spending any more time in this office than you need to, and what is not to like about that in a dentist?

Unfortunately, it is the result of ongoing issues with the back-office billing process under the current office management. Due to repeated billing negligence, I was forced to pay over $600 out of pocket, ultimately including payment to a collection agency for charges that should have been properly handled and reconciled by the office. Today, when I contacted the office to have my account reviewed after resolving the collection, I was placed on hold for over an hour without resolution. After nearly two decades of loyalty, this level of billing mismanagement and lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Patients should not bear financial consequences due to administrative errors, nor should they have to expend excessive time attempting to correct them. As a result, I will be transitioning myself and my family to a dental practice that demonstrates greater accountability and appreciation for its patients.

Let's cut to the chase--here's why this place has been an enormous waste of my time. I've been having some small irritations regarding my teeth moving slightly out of line, and it seems to be getting worse over time. When I was first brought in, I was met with the assistant who asked me what was wrong. I told him in full detail, and we proceeded to snap some X-rays, and I waited for the dentist. When the dentist came in, he asked me what was wrong. Now of course I'm not particularly fond of having to repeat myself, but fine, this can be forgivable. After some inspection, he told me I would have to wait for the ortho specialist to come in, and that there was nothing they could do that day. This was somewhat expected, so this was not why my experience was disappointing. Two weeks later, I never got a call, and so I decided to check up and call them. There was no answer, and so I left a message explaining that I was expecting a call from my consultation, and never got one, and I was also sure to leave my name and contact information. Two weeks after that, still no call, and I decided to call yet again. This time, not only was there no answer, but their voicemail inbox was also full, so I couldn't leave a message either. Now, over a month later from the initial consultation, I'm back to square one trying to find a place that will actually help me with my problem. If you're looking for your standard cleaning/checkup, sure, go ahead and give this place a go if it's convenient for you. But if you're looking for a reliable place that's willing to responsibly keep you updated as a dentist should, this is not the place for you.

Made an appt, received a text day of original to call the WRONG office to reschedule because they had overbooked. Made new appointment at correct office for that day. Aspen asked for insurance card and I had to fill out a medical history even though no dental work was being done on me. Was taken to a tiny room, WHEELCHAIR INACCESSIBLE, could not get into room I was led to even in a small, portable wheelchair. Aspen asked if the partial was made by Aspen (No). Then, interestingly, Aspen advised me that the lab tech could NOT repair the partial. BUT they could make me a whole *NEW* partial (this one is 2 years old). I had explained several times that I needed the partial repair by tne next morning and was also getting new dentures the next week. SO a new partial or dentures was not possible.n *No upselling opportunity for Aspen* They recommended I go to Walmart and buy a dental repair kit. Pleasant staff, but they have QUOTAS. Do read more about Aspen & their operations. Private Equity Group owned. I do not recommend. *Upselling unnecessary procedures seems to be common based on reviews. Call a dental lab for repairs.*

While the administrative staff was nice and attentive, my clinical experience with Dr. Patel felt more like a high-pressure "timeshare sales pitch" than a medical consultation. The first red flag happened when Dr. Patel recommended a specific cleaning that included a rinse/spray. When I told him I just wanted the basic cleaning covered by my insurance, he dismissed my preference. He stated he didn't know anything about my insurance coverage and refused to perform the basic cleaning. I later learned that his recommended cleaning came with an out-of-pocket expense of at least $100. The second red flag came when he displayed my X-rays on the big screen. He went over every tooth and recommended replacing old silver fillings with cosmetic white ones, along with several other costly procedures. When I questioned his recommendations, he became condescending and repeatedly asked if he had explained it well and if I even understood him.At that point, it became clear that I was dealing with a money-hungry dentist rather than a trustworthy provider whose primary focus is patient care.
