My…read moreother dental office is three hours away and closed due to weather so I couldn't get my x-rays sent immediatly. Everyone was very kind and professional- greeting, check in and scheduling was all fine. Where Tend falls apart is the integration into a giant dental machine where people are treated in a pipeline and not really treated on a patient by patient basis. They require as a new patient full dental X-rays of your entire mouth because you are new to the practice. They will not clean or provide any service without these X-rays. I understand this is their policy but in my situation having my recent x-rays sent was not possible the day of the appointment. I also just had x-rays performed at my other office and I do not want another does of repeat radiation or the additional, unnecessary cost. Again, this is the business policy, not necessarily the dentist. Unfortunately my chip needed to be evaluated and so I asked if the dentist would still be willing to even look at the chip in my enamel. They said the dentist could look at it but he would require an X-ray before he would even look at the tooth. I asked if he could even look at it superficially- I have no pain, I believe it's a simple enamel chip (My teeth hit each other while I was chewing, there was no traumatic injury to my face or mouth and no previous work done on this tooth). The dentist would not look at my tooth without preliminary X-rays. The thing about visiting Tend is that they will ask you (or your insurance) to pay quite a bit up front to even have the *privilege* of even speaking with a dentist there about an issue. I CLEARLY understand X-rays would be necessary to give a complete evaluation and create a care plan for my teeth. I was asking for a conversation with the actual dentist so I could prepare for then necessary x-rays and potential treatment plans. Tend's answer was "no". Requiring X-rays for anyone to even look at my mouth feels like "gotcha' medicine to me. Once they 'gotcha' for the X-rays you are already established and locked in for the treatment plan. I don't know my assigned dentist, I have never worked with them. I need to at least meet the dentist instead of trusting in a giant dental conglomerate oriented making money and not patient care. There's lots of other dentists who will talk to patients in Buckhead before start a comprehensive treatment plan. I suggest going to them before going to Tend. I wasn't impressed with the way patients are treated at Tend: with treatment plans and rules that are oriented around dollars, not people.

The dentist that did the job was not even employed there later when I went to get it redone. They never followed up with me about it-I would avoid this place if you need cosmetic dentistry!

His assistant, Sejja, attempted to make the temporary crown 2 times on the first visit, but she never could do it, so she had to let Aniah finish the job. Sejja did a really bad job, and the temporary was just barely hanging on the tooth. Two days later, part of the crown came off, so I had to return to the clinic. During this visit, Sejja attempted 5 times to make the temporary, but she still couldn't do it, so she turned it over, once again, to another person to finish the job. In my opinion, this is total incompetence! I have had 10 crowns made at other clinics, and I never experienced this problem before. However, it gets worse from here: Sejja made the mold for the permanent crown, and she also messed that up. The crown has an indention at the top, that makes it extremely difficult to floss the area. When I floss, it creates pain and bleeding in the gum line. She also messed up on the night guard, and it's a difficult fit. This young lady messed up on EVERYTHING she did! I have never experienced this before at any other dentist! I told Arjun Parikh, and he laughed in my face, and he came across to me as arrogant and narcissistic. He told me he stands behind the faulty work that Sejja did. I went to another dentist, and the new dentist told me the tooth needs to be extracted, because I have bone loss, and that I would need a bone graft. THEREFORE, JOHNS CREEK DENTAL STUDIO MADE A CROWN FOR A TOOTH THAT NEEDS TO BE EXTRACTED. I BELIEVE THIS IS DENTAL MALPRACTICE, AND I AM CURRENTLY HAVING THIS In review, here are the problems that Johns Creek Dental created for me: 1. Pain in the gumline, between the two upper right molars, that gets much worse when I eat certain foods that get trapped between these teeth. Before this permanent crown, I never had a problem with food getting stuck between these teeth. 2. Pain between the two upper right molars from flossing in that area. The pain can become pretty bad. 3. Inflammation between those two teeth, mostly caused from flossing, but also from eating. 4. Extreme difficulty flossing between those two teeth, because Johns Creek Dental Studio created a jagged area at the top of the crown, so the dental floss doesn't glide smoothly. Out of the 10 total crowns I have had done from other dentists, this is the only crown that has this problem, so Johns Creek cannot try to say that this problem is normal. 5. A bulky crown that doesn't feel natural, as compared to the other nine crowns, from other dentists. 6. The gum line between those two molars bleeds very easily when I floss that area. I never had this problem with the bleeding before Johns Creek Dental Studio made this crown. I will strongly encourage everyone to stay away from Johns Creek Dental Studio!

I paid $15,000 (+$300 for the consultation) on that day and $4700 on 2/20/24. I was scheduled for surgery on March 6th. I forget why, but that appointment was cancelled. I was rescheduled for March 14th; but that appointment was also cancelled. Sometime after March 14th I was informed that Dr. Vincent was scheduled to have sciatica surgery and that I would have to wait 2 more months to start my treatment. This meant that the treatment would start in June or July. After learning this, I asked for a refund and planned to start searching for another Dentist. This meant more "out of pocket" money for consultations. After the first consultation I informed Vincent Dental that I would wait (approximately 2 months) for Dr. Vincent to recover from his surgery. That brings me to May 14, 2024. During the week prior to the 14th I notified Vincent Dental that a tooth, which was only a little sensitive at the time of my consultation, was now unbearably painful. I wanted the tooth simply removed since I was under the belief that my treatment would begin (at the latest) sometime in July (3+ months after Dr. Vincent's surgery). Dr. Nick looked at the tooth and advised me not to have it pulled. I reminded him that the tooth would be removed when my treatment started in June or July. He informed me that it might be a year before the treatment would start. This was news to me and there's no other way to say it, "I was misled." Dr. Nick then told me that he could save the tooth and stop the pain which would be better for eating. I allowed him to talk me into getting a root canal. I didn't inquire about the cost because from my perspective, Dr. Vincent failed to meet his commitment to me. Unfortunately, Dr. Vincent didn't see things that way and he wouldn't let Dr. Nick begin the root canal until I signed an agreement to pay $1500 for the procedure. They had me just where they wanted me, desperate to stop the persistent pain before leaving their office. I protested further and explained to them that things wouldn't have gotten to this point if they hadn't cancelled my 2 appointments in March. They never did give me a good reason for canceling either appointment. My whining brought the price down to $1000; $1000 more than what was fair. I wanted to speak with Dr. Vincent and could never get him to call me back. He used Andrea (office manager) as a buffer between himself and unhappy patients. I also wrote him a letter which fell on deaf ears. His only reaction was to tell Andrea to refund my $20,000. He wouldn't even convey a message to address my assertion that, had he not cancelled my appointments, there wouldn't have been a lengthy delay in starting my treatment. And lastly, to make matters worse, less than a week after the root canal, I could feel a gritty substance coming loose from the area in and around the tooth. I started having pain that was different from that which you would get from an exposed nerve. It seemed as though a void had developed between the gum and the tooth. Brushing now is very painful and the pain extends into my jaw bone. I won't go back to Vincent Dental to have them look at the tooth. My experience has eroded the confidence, respect, and most of all, the trust I once had in Dr. Vincent.
