DISAPPOINTING FROM THE START!!! First here are some much better nail salons. With exceptional service and ambiance in Brooklyn. Element Nail Salon. Honey Nails (many locations in Brooklyn) much better options than Lili & Cata If ambiance is all you care about go here, everything else is horrible. Beyond disgusted with the treatment of the staff.. NO WATER PEDICURE so they do pedicures with no water. They have some reason that seems ridiculous to me. Charge to take of old polish, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't $12 dollars. A pedicure is upwards of $40. Gel polish upwards of $20. Booking is overly complicated. A 6 step process to book online. You first have to create an account already annoying. Then input your credit card info so they can charge if you cancel. Fine. With all of that you would expect to get a confirmation email right?? Wrong never received a confirmation email. Called to confirm my appointment, they have no appointment for me. And there are totally unwilling to accommodate myself and my friend. Cool. At 11am, I had another friend make an appointment to join us she was accommodated over the phone for a 11:45 appointment on the same day! Ultimately myself and 4 friends were going to get pedicures and all 4 of us had to cancel because of the employees unwillingness to accommodate us. Understandable they are busy cool! To add insult to injury the employee or whoever I spoke with was beyond rude! I made a comment that the nail polish removal seemed overpriced over the phone and she proceeded to follow my comment with "SO WHY ARE YOU COMING HERE" that's not customer service, yes I was frustrated but never raised my voice or used obscene language and for that to be the response i was shocked. When customers are willing to patronize a business that charges a premium for there services, the expectation is exceptional customer service!!! That is what customers are paying for PREMIUM SERVICES WITH ACCOMPANYING EXEMPLARY SERVICE!!! I spoke with this employee on Wednesday 05/02 at approximately 10:30am. Hopefully the owner will train there staff better. If your cool with that then this is the spot for you. read more

My manicure and pedicure came out flawless. Also I didn't realize how important it was to me to use non toxic products until I came here. Could improve the drying station situation because the small fan for my mani didn't really make me feel confident, even though it all turned out great. Love that it's a family business and the owner is really inviting and involved. read more

Manicurists are so detailed, caring, and truly take their time in a way that feels like you've gotten what you paid for. The owners are the sweetest. They remember their customers and treat them like friends. I adore this place and am lucky to have them so close to me! read more

Had an amazing manicure and pedicure the other day! It was my first visit and I will definitely be back. Pricilla was my nail tech and she did such an amazing job she took her time and was careful and precise. The prices and service are competitive with Primp and Polish but the customer service was definitely better! They were able to fit me in as a walk in but they also take appointments. I was skeptical if the water free pedicure but was extremely impressed their pedicure chairs are so comfortable, and that saying a lot cos I'm 5months pregnant and sitting for longer periods of time is getting more challenging by the day. They even offer blankets if you want to get extra cozy! I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends! read more

This is such a cute place. They have a coffee shop, that also serves wine. What a wonderful idea. Elena was amazing. Great manicure, and a relaxing massage. I got mine in the backyard. It's a great idea to do backyard manis and pedis during covid, but take the weather in the consideration when booking. They do have a cover, so don't worry, they will still do your nails outdoors when it rains too. I found it relaxing to have my manicure done while being surrounded by greenery. My husband and I love the garden pedicures, they are wildly relaxing and indulgent. The manicures are just 'fine' though. They are not a great spot for design work, and we've both had experiences where our gel polish came out streaky and uneven. read more

During Covid, I never thought I would get my nails done. I called Lili and Cata and asked about their protocol, and also asked a friend who went there. I decided to go and was blow away. They thought of everything in terms of both safety and comforts. The backyard was lovely even when it rained I was protected and they made sure of it since it's tented. The woman I worked with wore her mask correctly, and because of the large and extremely comfortable chairs they have, we were 6 feet apart during the pedicure. I cannot RECOMMEND enough! read more

I had my first mani-pedi appointment (since late Feb) yesterday and could not have had a better experience! I did a regular Gel Mani and their Lush Pedicure + my nail tech Alma was wonderful. She took time and care in the application and both my hands and feet look A+ now. I felt SAFE and really respected all the safety protocols in place at the salon. I had initially reached out on Instagram to see if there were any last min appointments available. The team was quick to respond and help find a time in the next week to fit me in, which I thought was very kind. I chose to do an outdoor appointment in their garden and found it serene and relaxing. While they offer water-free services, I still felt that sense of pampering with hot towels and good quality vegan/cruelty-free products. I almost fell asleep during my foot massage. The manager of the cafe was super attentive and asked me if I wanted anything to drink from their menu. When I ordered a canned kombucha, he delivered it with the cutest little paper straw with a flamingo. I saw another customer had ordered some bubbles and I will definitely treat myself to some wine the next time I visit ;) Very grateful for a wonderful visit + will definitely return. read more

This is the best nail salon I've ever been to. I don't live that close and there are many salons near me, but they just don't compare. When I get a manicure at Lili and Cata it lasts for so long. The staff are wonderful, they honor appointments and run on time. And it's the only place I know of that does dry pedicures. After multiple fungal infections and lost toenails over the 20 years I've been getting pedicures, I am over wet pedicures. read more

Nail salon that is free of chemical smells. They have a coffee shop as well. The owner is there most of the time. The technicians do good work and everyone is nice. I love their polish selection and have not had any signs that the nontoxic vegan polish is in any way inferior. read more

I just discovered Lili and Cata this month because they offer outdoor manicures and pedicures, which I've wanted amid the pandemic. And I'm so glad I did! They are a really wonderful salon with a talented, gracious staff and lots of (non-toxic!) colors to choose from. Plus they have a coffee shop on site so you can order a drink while you're having your nails done inside or outside. The coffee shop also has multiple different milk alternative options (oat, soy, almond etc) which I really appreciate. I loved my oat milk matcha latte, and I've loved both manicures and the pedicure I've gotten from them! I'm a total convert, even when things go back to "normal;" Lili and Cata is my official new nail salon. It's absolutely the best in the area, and I've tried so many. Elena is amazing and takes her time with each gel manicure. They last for weeks and I love the selection of colors. And there's a coffee bar inside! I'm new to greenpoint and I've been looking for a new nail salon that has quality work and service. I had my eye on this place for a while and decided to give it a try. The salon is beautiful and they follow all of the covid restrictions and regulations. I felt so safe. It's extremely clean and everything is done with such detail and you don't feel rushed like you do in most other nail salons. I had Erica and she was really sweet and a perfectionist, my gel mani and pedicure came out perfect. Lili and Cata has a beautiful atmosphere and it is worth the price and more!! Got a pedicure in the back garden today and it was fantastic! They have COVID precautions including having you wash or your hands when you walk in and a temperature check. There were only a few other clients so plenty of social distancing. The nail technician did a great job and everyone there was very friendly. They say you don't know what you've got till it's gone...... Luckily, I got one final manicure from L&C before the apocalypse hit, but I am in serious spa withdrawal! Not only is this salon completely non-toxic and sustainability-centered, but the owner and entire staff are incredible! I have had manicures with almost every tech, and they all did wonders for me. Every time I go I always feel welcomed! I see Priscila and she does an amazing job cleaning my cuticles and shaping my nails. They are so clean and hygienic which I so hard to find in a nail salon. The whole experience from start to finish is the best I have ever experienced. The owners are super friendly and greet everyone that comes in.
