The fam and I have been going to Likikoi since they've opened, mostly for convenience purposes. Started out amazing, but as we ordered more and more, there's been quite a bit of inconsistency. Will we get good or mediocre drinks today? Will our drinks be accurate or would we need to spend some more time to get our drinks fixed? Always a gamble, but hey, I do love to gamble (usually in a different setting lol). Sometimes the drinks are really good. The ones I've had the most consistencies are their house milk tea and their tropical fruit tea. Recommendation is to order everything as-is since if things (such as sugar level) are adjusted, it's most likely watered down. Luckily the drinks aren't way too sweet, but still a bit sweeter than I'd like, and I'd prefer a bit more tea flavor. My daughter has been big on their Thai tea, but after some inconsistencies with flavor, she's switched to their matcha horchata drink. Pretty good, and they have other kinds of drinks like that too. My son likes the house milk tea with lychee jelly, and the husband enjoys the Oreo drinks here, but they don't taste right in my opinion. I like their house milk tea, jasmine milk tea, tropical fruit tea, and once a while, their ube taro drink. On the safe side, I normally stick with tropical tea and house milk tea at this location. Props to Lilikoi for having some "unique" drinks such as mango almighty (mango smoothie with tajin and chamoy), various horchata drinks, and more. They seem to specialize more in the tropical fruit teas, so highly recommend for those. read more

First tried Lilikoi in 3/2022, right around when they first opened. I had ube horchata with boba and I wasn't able to taste much of the ube flavor. Since I went close to when they first opened, I thought they would get the kinks worked out so I wanted to try again before I judged. I came today (2/4/2025) after a doctor's appointment. I noticed they have ube coffee on the menu. Unfortunately, the employees told me they were out of ube. I ordered the Thai milk tea with no ice at 50% sweet. Given the heavy rain and cold weather, I asked if they could make the drink hot and they said they don't do hot drinks. Really? Every boba spot I've been to in the 4.5 years I've lived in Contra Costa County - including Sharetea, Mr. Green Bubble, Teaspoon, and Yi Fang - offer hot drinks. Everywhere EXCEPT Lilikoi. As for the drink itself, I could taste the Thai tea flavor somewhat but it seemed a bit watered down. I've had better Thai milk tea elsewhere. The drink cost $5, which is less compared to other boba spots. But I'd rather pay a bit more for drinks that don't tasted watered down. I don't think I'll return, even if in the area. read more

It's just ok. I like the drinks but they're on the sweeter side, and there's very little that sets it apart from other boba spots. I must admit, the one thing that annoyed me is a worker who would go out for a smoke then come back and reek of smoke. That is off-putting. read more

I met a friend here as she was working in Lafayette and had taken BART, so we needed a place that was walkable to the area she was in. We felt like a tea / boba shop for us to catch up at. We were really disappointed that when we arrived there wasn't anywhere to sit whatsoever. We still ordered drinks and took them to go, but this was a major damper especially on a cold, drizzly night. The menu also had incorrect pricing. This is not a big deal, but a little annoying. The large Mango Smoothie with Tajin drink I ordered was $5.50 on the menu but it rang up at $6. I inquired as I was just curious, but the cashier was not particularly helpful or insightful about the difference. It's okay, but the person at the til was not chatty and sort of just shrugged. I was with a friend so although, I felt ok simply asking about the price, his indifference and lack of acknowledgement was a bit embarrassing. I wasn't bothered to pay $6 but I just wanted him to know that the menu wasn't accurate so they can fix it for other patrons. The worker didn't seem to care. Anyway, my drink itself was way too sweet and I wish I could have tasted the spice more. It needed more tajin and chamoy would have been a great addition. I didn't love my drink unfortunately. I appreciated that the menu was clearly labeled for allergens (I have to have dairy free at the moment so this was really helpful!). I'm at toss up between 2 and 3 stars as it wasn't horrible, but the service wasn't great, the price was incorrect, there was nowhere to sit and my drink wasn't great, so 2 it is. I've tried to like this place but it always falls short. Most recently I ordered a jasmine milk tea light sweet, a house milk tea with coconut mango jelly, and an original bubble waffle. The jasmine milk tea had no taste and the boba did not taste like honey at all. They tasted like boiled starch balls. The house milk tea was disgustingly sweet. I dropped by Lilikoi Boba for a post-hike drink since it was on our way home. We came by Saturday afternoon around 4 and it wasn't busy. Parking was easy as there's a small lot for the plaza. I was very intrigued by the POG Aloha, since I love pog and have never seen it used to make a boba drink before. I got a large (24 oz) for $5.50, which I thought was reasonable. I generally get my drinks around 50% sweetness, so I ordered it less sweet here. Biggg mistake. It was the most watered down drink I've ever had and tasted more like flavored water than anything else. My friend tried a sip and agreed. My friends and I decided to go on a hike at 1pm on an extremely sunny day. First mistake. 1/3 of the way through, we ran out of water - second mistake. On the way back, we were sooo thirsty that we needed to stop and get something refreshing. Fortunately we found Lilikoi! I ended up ordering a large POG and literally chugged it within a few minutes. It was tasty and refreshing, but I will admit this was the best drink out of the ones we ordered. They have a strawberry black tea with cream and it honestly tasted really bad and weird. I wasn't impressed with the menu frankly, nothing seemed unique or different. There's also no room to sit inside and it was super hot outside, so we had to resign ourselves to sitting in the shade outside. We were driving through Lafayette on the way out of the Bay, and stopped at Lilikoi for some boba. I had never gotten horchata at a boba shop before, so I decided to give it a try. Went here after a hike. My cousin ordered the jasmine milk tea with honey boba and I ordered the ube horchata. My cousin doesn't like sweet things so this was the perfect amount of sweetness for her. The honey boba wasn't that great because it had a chewy exterior but hard center. The ube horchata was ok to me. I saw that the strawberry horchata is on the most popular list after I ordered. I've been craving boba and was so excited to finally try Lilikoi--but unfortunately, I left disappointed. A few things to note that I hope can help improve the experience: First, the in-store menu is different from the online menu, which was a bit confusing. That said, the staff was helpful and still made the Dragon Mango Royale for me, even though it wasn't listed in-store. I also ordered the Mango Horchata. One downside was that I couldn't adjust the ice or sweetness levels for either drink. I added boba to both, but it was hard and undercooked--even straight from the store. I was really craving boba, so that part was especially disappointing. Flavor-wise, the Mango Horchata was extremely sweet--like 110% sugar level--while the Dragon Mango tasted more like 25% sweetness, almost no taste and very watery because of all the ice slushie. I wish the drinks were more consistent and better balanced. I ended up not being able to finish both drinks which never happen with boba drinks. My wife ordered two coffees/milk teas. My wife's coffee was fine, but the lid on mine wasn't sealed at all. It spilled all over the car. I didn't even get a chance to drink it. I didn't even get the pleasure of plunging the straw into the lid. That's how un-sealed it was. COME ON! We ordered the Ube Horchata and the Mango Crema. I think the mango crema tasted a bit syrupy, so I wasn't a fan - I didn't even finish my drink. But the cream on the top was a bit salty so did help a bit with the sweetness balance but I just wasn't a fan overall of this drink. The ube horchata though was pretty good. I would probably order this again if I was in the area but I don't think it was that good to make a trip out here for when I want boba or boba type dessert drink. The more sweet is still not very sweet compared to other locations, so just be aware of that. Still delicious and rich tea. Service: Fast even with one worker! Drink was made in about 1 minute after ordering. The employees was kind and direct. Amenities: Very small interior. No indoor or outdoor seating. Just Grab n go with drinks. So, if you want to chat with friends or catch up, you will need to sit on the stairs in-front of the Shop! But luckily, if that is not your style, there is a park right across the street to enjoy your drinks. Lilikoi has been expanding QUICK. I've been eyeing this spot for awhile, so I'm glad I don't need to travel far. I think they're even opening a location in Danville where Koala Tea used to be. I'm big fan of taro but this was my first time trying an ube taro drink. (I know, I know.) For the ube taro milk tea, I recommend 50% sweet if you don't have a big sweet tooth. I like that they include chunks of taro as well, so I didn't feel the need to add boba. Very aesthetically pleasing drinks. We also tried the strawberry smoothie which was nice and refreshing. I was wondering when we would have more boba shops in Lafayette. Two great things merged into one - boba tea and Hawaii. The founder of Lilikoi discovered the idea when he went to San Francisco at 10 years old. Lilikoi, meaning passion fruit, brings a touch of Hawaii into every drink. Their first page of the Menu is their Signature Drinks (from Herbal Lemonade to Ube Milk Tea and from Thai Tea to Mint Mojito). There's some type of tropical fruit or tea that is carefully portioned and added to each of these items. They also have smoothies (matcha, various fruit, and coffee), and Kona Italian Coffee. After chatting up the employee, they mentioned that they order kona coffee beans from Hawaii to make their coffee beverages. I have came here twice and have tried their Ube Milk Tea (perfectly coconut-y and sweet yam flavored) and their Kona Kokonut Coffee (you can taste the kona coffee in this one). They also were selling spam musubi as a weekly special, which was tasty, although a bit too tightly wrapped. I would agree with others who say that their sweetness scale is a bit high, so ask for modification if you're a regular boba drinker. read more

Yay! New boba spot! And in Lafayette of all things! I originally tried Lilikoi the first time when I encountered them at 626 Night Market at Alameda County Fairgrounds so to find out that they opened one near me, I was stoked. When I got there I ordered an ube horchata with passion fruit dolphins as well as two pieces of spam musubi. First off, this is NOT a Taiwanese boba place. Bear in mind this is Hawaiian style. The ube horchata with passion fruit jelly dolphins was pretty good. The horchata taste is pretty strong. The passion fruit jelly was pretty good too. However, the one thing I would say needs improvement is the ube. You do get ube pieces so props for that. But the horchata taste is so overwhelmingly strong that you don't really taste much else which...I feel like defeats the purpose of the flavored horchata. It does lie on the sweeter side compared to Taiwanese boba drinks so just be prepared for that. As for the spam musubi, I love how it comes warmed up. It was pretty good. I've had better since I've had ones where the rice is more like fried rice style. This place just has more of the standard musubi. And given there's no Hawaiian places near here, it's still a welcome addition to the community. All in all, definitely coming back here if I crave horchata. Now I don't have to go to a Mexican restaurant for it specifically! Still have to try their Mochi donuts but I'm excited for those too. read more

We ordered the following: P.O.G Aloha- my mom got this drink in the small size. This drink to me was super refreshing. Matcha Horchata series- my sister got this drink in the large size. This drink to me tasted like the holidays. I would get this drink for myself next time. Mango almighty- I ordered this drink and it was amazing! After about 10 minutes, the drinks were made, and I would say the boba tasted old & firm and the tea was one of the worst I've had at a boba place, ever. I've been eyeing Lilikoi Boba for a while now so I was surprised to see one on my way home one day. It's a small shop so it's more of a quick grab-and-go versus staying to hang out. The employees here are really nice and work quickly. Even if there are a couple people before me, I'm usually in and out within 5-10 minutes. My favorite drinks from here are the brown oolong crema, house milk tea, and ube latte (real ube chunks and strong coffee flavor, YUM!) . I really enjoyed how the brown oolong and house milk tea had a strong tea base/flavor and didn't just taste like just milk. Not too sweet and a great milk to tea ratio. These two drinks really allow the tea to shine and be the star! I've only tried the ube horchata drink from their horchata series and it was only okay to me. My drink tasted more like horchata versus ube and was a little too cinnamon-y for me. I always think about giving the horchata series another try when I stop by, but I always gravitate towards their signature drinks instead. Solid boba spot! read more

This Lilikoi is located in a small plaza with a shared parking lot. It is a quieter area and I was one of the only ones here on a weekday afternoon. Their small size was super tiny and a bit expensive for the size. I tried their jasmine milk tea with boba and Oreo smoothie. The milk tea tasted off compared to their other locations that I had been to - it was a bit bitter and grainy, and it was not as creamy. This is a sweet and small shop! The workers were nice, helpful, and greeted me when I came in. I stopped by on a late evening and it was not busy at all. I got my order within 5 minutes or so. Drink- - strawberry horchata- I thought this was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet and you could definitely taste the strawberry. The horchata was apparent, but it was more subtle than I what I wanted. I went in for a quick Boba pick up. I had seen it opened recently and was curious on what type of Drinks they had to offer. I had ordered a Mango Almighty and a Tropical Delight. I had also ordered a Brown Sugar Milk Tea which was really good. The owners seem to be Super nice and are very informative. The Grand Opening is on 02/12/22 and they have Buy one get one free (Bogo), for the special Celebration. I did see that they have Spam Masubi other than Boba drinks. Lilikoi is the first boba spot in Lafayette! Before the closest boba spot in this area was probably i-Tea in Moraga (which is also pretty solid). Lilikoi has a few other locations in the Bay but this is their first one in the north east bay. This was my first time trying Lilikoi in general and I enjoyed it. It is a Hawaiian-themed shop with ocean and tropical branding, which I don't think anyone else is doing. The location is in a small plaza across the street from Whole Foods. I got their Thai Tea. Prices are fair at about $5.50 for a specialty drink with boba. The drink was on the sweeter side and the boba consistency was warm and chewy. Service size was good (16 oz for a small) and service was quick and easy. Overall no major complaints. Was the drink incredible?! No, probably not. But it was solid and I definitely would consider coming back next time I am in the area. Lilikoi is a nice addition to this downtown area that needs more ethnic options! read more

I ordered the POG aloha drink (passion fruit, orange juice, guava) but I think the taste of orange juice overpowers the other flavors which was a bit disappointing, especially coming from someone who LOVES passion fruit and guava. I prefer other milk tea spots to this one, but it's not a bad option if you're in the area and craving a milk tea (or a fruity drink since they have a lot of options for that). Unfortunately, I must have ordered the wrong thing but I ordered a strawberry smoothie. What was given to me was a strawberry slush. Hm. *confused face* not sure why they have a menu that says "smoothie" when they really mean slush. It's a bit misleading. I didn't wanna make it a big deal so I took it anyway. Finally the boba gods have answered my prayers! Great selection of fruity bobas along with more milky options. All natural - real fruit! Got it at 75% sweetness and it was even less sweet than I expected which was great esp for kids. Fun boba options like heart shaped strawberry boba.
