    Passion Fruit Green Tea
    Maya V.

Milk Tea Lab -- rare late night third space! Decent tea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I came in around 10:15 PM on a Wednesday night. I ordered a Passion Fruit Green Tea with 25% sugar, light ice, and black boba -- and honestly, I'm really glad I went with 25% because it was still very sweet. Like, easily what I'd expect from 75% sugar at other boba spots. So if you're sensitive to sweetness, definitely dial it down here. The drink itself was solid -- not the best passion fruit tea I've had, not the worst either. It's decent. The space is pretty casual -- there are plenty of tables (mostly inside, but one outside also) and lots of outlets (huge plus), and I believe they have Wi-Fi, though I didn't use it this time. They've also got two self-order kiosks, which I appreciated. This isn't the quietest spot -- people come and go, and conversations can get loud, so I wouldn't recommend studying here unless you have strong noise-canceling headphones. That said, I was able to catch up on my Yelp reviews and reading in relative peace. If it's a weeknight, the late-night crowd tends to be more mellow, and the space actually becomes pretty peaceful closer to closing. Love that it's open until midnight, not many third spaces are open this late nowadays! Would definitely come back when I need a low-effort spot to post up and be semi-productive past 10 PM. Update: lost a star because one of the employees made me leave at 11:52 PM saying the place is closed. Their posted closing time is 12 AM.

I hear they are under new management and no long affiliated with the one off of Clayton Rd in Concord. But that one is never open anyways. I assume it's true because their cup sizing has changed which I'm sadly disappointed. It's more open space/spacious and I had to create a new rewards account. Drink menu names changed slightly on kiosk and on the wall. They don't have that tacky shelf with plush, stuff, Knick knacks, for sale anymore. Drink still good, I don't think recipe has changed. I heard, then seen it for myself, the instagram post and stories shared by friends, of people dancing and partying at the shop late nights after hours. Then when I went in, also still had the sign up that said they did dance concert or hosted DJ nights at the shop. But Im also assuming it was under the old management and they must've got caught something doing something illegal or something they weren't suppose to be doing. The minus one star is for the cup sizing. Bring it back! Main reason why I love coming here, a good price for big cup size. Now it's like every other boba shop. Which is fine, but I won't go out of my way to come get boba here like I used to.

My sister and I went here earlier today (Thanksgiving) & we were the only ones in the store at around noon. It was my first time going and the location was easy to find and the inside is very spacious. We both ordered through the kiosk. She ordered a regular Emerald Milk Tea with egg pudding and popcorn chicken (mild spicy). My sister had no issues with her drink and thought it was good. Rating: 10/10 I ordered a large Berry Lover with 50% sweetness + strawberry hearts and french fries (mild spicy). I thoroughly enjoyed my drink and the fries. Usually I love my fries with a sauce but these fries didn't need it. Rating: 9/10 Service was great and helpful. We understand why it took a bit (~20 minutes) to get our orders since it's a holiday and there's only two people working.

Cool balls! Milk Tea Lab has some pretty interesting drink creations. Great spot to hang out- lots of interior space and some games to play as well. They also do some collabs/specials re anime from time to time. There's also food, but I haven't tried the food here yet. Milk Tea Lab is the closest boba spot to one of the Pleasant Hill centers we somewhat frequent to pick up food, and it's also nearby-ish the daughter's orthodontist. We've tried several drinks here, and overall I find it to lack the actual tea flavor and the drinks are a bit more on the milky side. Reducing sweetness dilutes the drink, but regular sweetness is too sweet. My fave drink here is the honey roasted milk tea since the sweetness comes from the honey. Their mango and peach flavored drinks are alright too. The kids have tried various milk teas and Thai tea here, but they were more into the events (peel off event from the holiday season to win free stuff for instance) than the drinks itself as they claimed it lacked in flavor other than sugar. The toppings are good- pretty standard stuff, but I'm a toppings girl so that works out. Their cool balls are agar boba by the way. We just had to ask what cool balls were... I like adding mango boba to my drinks when I get a simple milk tea to add a touch of fruitiness and texture. Love the name and concept of milk tea lab though, but can be better executed.

Threw these drinks away In the trash when we got home! My wife took one sip of her Mango delight and spit it out. She said it tasted rotten and made her stomach turn. When I took a sip of my banana strawberry I thought the same thing. Both drinks were disgusting. Never coming back. Taste like they used spoiled ingredients or don't wash out their blenders. Either way I recommend you don't come here.

Milk Tea Lab in Pleasant Hill off the 680 offers a good selection of Boba Drinks and a surprisingly ample hot food menu. They have most of all the classic milk tea flavors as well as Green Tea flavors. Toppings are plentiful from flavored boba, jellies, pudding and beans. I went with the standard Jasmine Milk Tea and it was fine. The space is quite large with music pumping and seating both indoor and outdoor.

I recently got to have two drinks from Milk Tea Lab since they were hired for catering at an event I attended. I tried two of the three flavors they brought, honey roasted oolong milk tea, and mango green tea. Unfortunately since it was such a big event and the boba was popular - I'm assuming the catering team handed out a couple hundred drinks - they actually ran out of pearls by the time I reached front of the line. Both drinks were good, and quite sweet. I like the oolong milk tea since it's creamy and has a slightly nutty flavor, but the mango green tea was also nice, refreshing, had a kind of citrus-y fruity tang, though maybe almost a little too sweet than I would normally choose (but since it was catering, we couldn't adjust the sweetness level). Overall I thought the drinks were decent and would be down to try it again the next time I pass a shop.

We stopped here to grab a drink after dropping a friend off at the train station and the drinks were reasonably priced, but they didn't have the hot food items we ordered off their menu available. We decided to get the tea anyway as we were already there but the wait was just way too long. It ended up taking 15 minutes for two drinks. The roasted flavor of one tea was just overpowering but we did enjoy the plain jasmine. Based on our experience I would not return here but the Taco place next door (which we had lots of time to observe while waiting) looked really good and we will most likely try that instead next time.

Best milk tea forever! Nice employees! The milk tea is perfectly balanced and not too sweet -- love it

The Popcorn chicken was flavorful and tender, not dry at all and very reasonably priced :) I got the mango green tea and honey roasted milk tea both with boba and half sweet. The drinks really are on the sweeter side, as 50% tastes like a 100% at most other places. The honey roasted milk tea didn't have much of a roasted flavor like I was expecting :( but the mango green tea tasted pretty good. I think the drinks are a tad bit on the pricier side as it's $7.25 for each regular size drink with one topping, I was also expecting the little rounded bottom cup as I saw in another review but it's a standard size 16oz (i think) and they have a bigger supersize cup as a large. Service: it's a self order kiosk so not much to say but staff seems friendly Ambiance: really cute interior, they have attack on titan posters/decor and some claw machines.

Most expensive rice. $1.50 four bites.

To start, the employee working at the cash register was super friendly and gave great suggestions on drinks and food to order based on how sweet we like things or more coffee for we may want things to be. There isn't really any indoor seating space but they did build out into the parking lot with a few picnic tables and chairs for people to stay and eat their food. While we both really enjoyed the food - both of which were recommended by the employee - the coffee was not good at all. Pro: the avocado toast that we ordered had a curried chickpea salad on top and it had a delicious flavor. That was probably my favorite bite! We also shared half order of the blueberry waffle, and it had a type of granola on top that provided some really great textures. The food certainly impressed me. Con: Both of us felt like the coffee had none of the flavor that it was supposed to have (we both ordered the cardamom maple iced latte with macadamia nut milk) and instead, it just tasted like milk. It didn't even really have a coffee forward flavor. Since this is a coffee shop that was a pretty big disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, but would skip the coffee.

First off, don't let the name fool you because despite its name it's actually a Korean bakery, not a French bakery. They do have a lot of French inspired pastries though, like croissants. I keep seeing people on TikTok eating those cylinder shaped Croissants filled with creamy custard or chocolate cream, so naturally I had to try one when I saw them at the store. I also knew I had to try the Salted Bread since Japanese style salted bread has been super viral all over Asia lately. We ended up getting both, and honestly they were pretty good. Let me start with the Salted Bread, the inside had that signature hollow interior with a slightly crusty exterior, so it felt pretty legit. The salty crust paired really nicely with the buttery flavor of the bread. It was good, but I don't get the hype around it. I know some people are completely obsessed with salted bread, but to me it's basically just really good bread tasting like salted butter. I like it, but it's just not enough to make me obsessed with it. Then we tried the cylinder shaped croissant that was half dipped in chocolate, and that was pretty good too. Obviously room temperature croissants just don't hit the same as warm freshly baked ones, but for room temperature ones, these were pretty solid. I also really liked the interior of the shop. Everything looked super clean, modern, and chic. All the baked goods were displayed really beautifully too. I'd definitely come back again the next time I'm in the vicinity, and next time I'll try some of their other stuff too.

That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

He ended up ordering an iced turkish coffee with milk. It was hot outside, so I went in to grab some water. Their water container was not only basically empty, but it was also warm. Gross. I decided I would rather pay for a cup of iced water (because in a lot of the places I've been to, they charge for it). I go up to the register and ask if I can buy a plastic cup with iced water. The cashier/pastry cook/barista says, "Water?" and I repeat that I want a cup with iced water. She says, "Ice?" and I say, yes please. She goes right next to where the other barista is and she grab a scoop full of ice and gestures it to me. I'm kind of confused by this point, and it seems like the other barista is too. And then I ask again if I can get it in a plastic cup. Then the other barista points to one of the paper cups next to the warm water container, but then I ask them again if I could please get it in one of the cups they have, (because I wanted to be able to carry it around with a lid). That's when the other barista says, "You're doing too much, but okay." And she passes me the plastic cup, without a lid, acting as if I just asked her for her whole paycheck and half the drinks on the menu. I'm definitely annoyed at this point, but I don't care enough to be rude back. Then she says she's going to fill up the container. So she goes, gets the container to fill it up, and I'm there waiting with my friend in the store. It looks like she's the only barista there, so it keeps taking a little longer for the drink(s) to come out. When she finally comes back with a semi-filled container, I'm conversing with my friend, when she turns sharply and says, "Were you going to order anything??" in a pretty snappy tone, as if I'm only worth giving a plastic cup to if I'm going to order more. We reply that we already ordered, and she goes back to finish drinks that a previous customer had ordered. It's two drinks, and I assume that it took about 12-15 minutes for them to receive what looked like small hot drinks. I say this because these customers were sitting there well before my friend and I arrived, took time to order, and then were waiting for our drinks. After that, we're still waiting while she goes to take orders, and that's when the cashier/pastry cook/barista woman finishes my friends drink... after having stood there FOREVER while the other barista was going in circles. I was shocked to say the least, kind of amused, but also disappointed because these customers drink was about 8-9 bucks, the wait time was about 8-10 minutes, and the drink was disgusting. Actually insane. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Place looks mid, service was abominable, and the workers look like they hate each other and anyone who asks for a plastic cup with iced water. Do better, and preferably give us back our money for the nasty drink+attitude combo.

Stopped here for our morning coffee before heading to lunch in the area. The dining area is…read moreseparated into two spaces; the main area and the little room in the back. We sat in the back and it was really cozy. There were upholstered chairs around small tables, more like a club than a coffee shop; I loved it! The front area is brighter and sleeker than the back; more like what I'm used to in a coffee shop. The pastries in the display case looked wonderful, but since we were going to lunch, none of us ordered anything other than coffee. I had a small cappuchino and I think others got cappuchinos as well, another small and two mediums. The small was $5 and the mediums were $6. The baristas were friendly and welcoming and made a great cappuchino. Highly recommend!

Meh. I've been here twice and I have to say, it's just an average overpriced spot. That does seem…read moreto be the trend nowadays with coffee shops, but still... First time, staff was friendly and my cappuccino was good. Not great, but good. The Place was crowded, but not terrible. However, most people were on their laptops "working". Second time, place is packed and almost everyone is on their laptop "working". Feels like a wework cafe. Staff? Seemingly bored and not thrilled about my order. I asked for an espresso with a significant amount of steamed milk and foam. What I got? A dribble barley filling the bottom of the cup (which was to go, and I ordered to stay). Finally, they don't take cash. Cash is king. Would I go back? Nope. I don't know Walnut Creek very well but assuredly, there's other places that are more suitable for me.
