Quality drink, we had different flavors at different sweetness levels and we were all satisfied and refreshed especially on this hot day. Pretty slow service, took quite a while to get drinks made though it wasn't that busy and there were few staff working. Cool setup with other available bites, we would've got some stuff but we just finished eating prior to grabbing boba.

My favorite place to get boba in the Walnut Creek/Danville/Alamo/Pleasant Hill area. The owners did an amazing job! You can order through a Kiosk or through one of their bobaristas. They are consistent and service is 10/10! It's fairly small inside with a few tables + they also share the area with another business. I always love grabbing a quick boba when I'm in the area on the weekends. I typically order their Brown Sugar Pearl Cocoa Latte with less sugar. You can tell they use quality cocoa. Boba is always cooked perfectly. P.S. there is also a restroom for customers only and you need to ask for a key.

Amazing location in the heart of downtown on Locust street. The server was friendly and the place is clean! We ordered Mango with sago and boba, and also Matcha latte with boba. Also had the egg puffs. Really good and around $23!

Solid spot if you're craving Asian street snacks and drinks. Food menu is has a variety of quick fried snacks to small meals. Drinks come in many options for you to choose. The only thing is it could get busy and may have to wait for your order, but this probably due to its popularity in that area. Even with many drink/snack shops in the area, Yifang is still one of the best.

I stopped by during their soft opening and enjoyed it! The drinks were tasty and refreshing, and the staff were fine. My only small gripe: it's always a little awkward when you're already paying close to $9 for a drink and then get asked about tipping on the screen. Other than that, the space was a nice/clean. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area and craving some quality boba!

They are so fast at making your drinks, always kind, and there are two ordering pads to make it easy. There's seating in here and it's always very clean. Not a bit of garbage anywhere. I love their drink selection, my favorite is now the dong ding oolong with aiyu jelly. The tea flavor is always on point and I never leave disappointed. Any of their plain teas are so refreshing and my favorite. They also have good milk tea with boba, whatever flavors you like you'll find it here so it's the best spot to go with a crowd. I can't imagine walking past and not getting anything. The popcorn place in the building is gone and turned into an Asian cafe, ramen convenience store set up, and onigiri.

Checking out YiFang in Walnut Creek

I recently learned about Too Good To Go and checked out the local businesses in Walnut Creek who are participating while I was in the area. I saw that Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea was participating. I was lucky enough to get the last available "Surprise Bag" order and did not know what to expect. Located on Locust Street (this is one of the great streets in Downtown Walnut Creek to find something to eat) directly across from Melo's Italian Kitchen, I was greeted by who I think was the owner, very nice and welcoming! My order consists of 3 random drinks of Jasmin Tea, Milk Tea with Almond Jelly and Milk Tea with boba. All drinks were delicious and refreshing! They do have a wide variety of drinks on their menu. The place is very clean, spacious, and organized, a great place to hang out with free wifi. There was also a mini Popcorn store inside called Gourmet Popcorn if you want something to munch on. Highly recommended if ever you need to quench that thirst while in Walnut Creek!

Perfect mango pomelo sago! Everything you would want and expect. Plenty of sago! Not too sweet, (Got 30% sweetness), yummy pieces of fresh mango and pomelo, and refreshing coconut milk. Inside has a small sitting area that offers free WiFi. Will be back again!

I've been to Yi Fang twice, once in May with a friend and today on my own. In May, I got the hot taro latte with soy milk at 50% sweet. Today I had the strawberry sago, also with soy milk and 50% sweet. Typically I'm a milk tea gal but I actually liked the strawberry sago better. By no means was the taro bad, but I've just had better elsewhere. The strawberry sago, on the other hand, was AMAZING! It was refreshing and not overly sweet, which hit the spot on a hot day like today. Today was also my first time trying sago and it won't be my last! Service was friendly and fast. Can order on the kiosk or with the bobarista. Today I was the only person in the store part of the time I was there. Even though more people were present the Sunday my friend and I went in May, I don't recall having difficulty finding a spot to sit. Cash and card accepted. Alternative milks are available, though the up charge ranges from $0.50-$1. I'd come back for a sago or cheese cream drink. Since Yi Fang is known for their fruit teas, I will likely stick to those and get my milk tea fix elsewhere.

SOO happy that Yifang opened up in Walnut Creek! It is in a shared space with Cornology that sells popcorn, which you can get while you're waiting for your drink :) you really can't go wrong with any of their drinks, I will say it can lean on the sweeter side so I usually get 50% or 75% with boba. I usually switch up my drink depending on my mood but the strawberry sago is delicious, as well as their mango sago and matcha offerings.

I am always up for a sweet treat even if it's a drink so I immediately said yes when my sister wanted to come here. I couldn't tell if they were still in the soft opening phase because when you first walk, there was some construction work on the side. There also wasn't a lot of seating for groups. We put our orders in at the kiosk and there wasn't a long wait, we definitely got there at a good time since a huge line formed after we placed our orders! My sister ordered the passion fruit tea with grass jelly and I got the strawberry fruit tea. I loved my drink, it was so good and refreshing. I just wish they had smaller drink options though. My sister wasn't a huge fan of her drink, she said there wasn't a lot of flavor and that it was too tart. I'd definitely come back here again!

Service was fast, I got my drink within 5-7 minutes of ordering. It's clean and well kept. Not a huge fan of the drink, it tastes and smells super artificial. Also too sweet even tho I just got 30%. The sago is also SUPER soft, not a fan of it either. It melted in my mouth just simply giving it a light press.

To be honest though, I only like their pandan boba tea and I occasionally get the mochi donuts for my kids. They're good and I do love coming here when I'm in the area. The place itself is clean, bright and pink. They have this magnet wall for a cute instagram reel post and a telephone booth to take some cool photos. It is very small though. I don't think you can bring a large group to hang out and chill inside. They only have two tables and maybe 6 or 8 chairs. As for the service, it's efficient I guess. When you go inside you just go up to one of the two kiosk and then pay and that will send your order to the kitchen where they'll prepare your drink and then you just pick it up. The staff seem nice but because you barely interact with them, I can't really say anything else about their service. Any way if you found this review helpful, please give me a thumbs up and follow! See you at my next review!

In the past, before my order was placed, I would ask for a lower sugar level (for example, 20% or 25% sugar). The staff would always accommodate my request. I was even told before that the kiosk doesn't have an option to select custom sugar percentages, so they could adjust it manually. This time, when I placed my order and politely asked about the sugar level, the employee told me that they could no longer make any changes unless the option was available on the kiosk. If the sugar level option was there, I could select it myself, but if it wasn't available, they said they couldn't adjust it manually anymore. What made the experience worse was the employee's attitude. When I said hello, it felt like she barely wanted to respond. Maybe she was tired or having a long day, but the interaction came across as very unfriendly and unwelcoming. On top of that, the boba was not cooked properly. The center of the pearls was hard and undercooked instead of soft and chewy, so I didn't enjoy my drink at all. Honestly, I'm writing this review mainly because of the customer service. The attitude was extremely poor, and combined with the undercooked boba, it left a very negative impression. After being a loyal customer for years, I don't think I'll be coming back for boba again.

I assume it's true because their cup sizing has changed which I'm sadly disappointed. It's more open space/spacious and I had to create a new rewards account. Drink menu names changed slightly on kiosk and on the wall. They don't have that tacky shelf with plush, stuff, Knick knacks, for sale anymore. Drink still good, I don't think recipe has changed. I heard, then seen it for myself, the instagram post and stories shared by friends, of people dancing and partying at the shop late nights after hours. Then when I went in, also still had the sign up that said they did dance concert or hosted DJ nights at the shop. But Im also assuming it was under the old management and they must've got caught something doing something illegal or something they weren't suppose to be doing. The minus one star is for the cup sizing. Bring it back! Main reason why I love coming here, a good price for big cup size. Now it's like every other boba shop. Which is fine, but I won't go out of my way to come get boba here like I used to.

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.
