And of course, the drinks are delicious. Everything tastes fresh, bright, and really well made. The boba has that perfect texture too, soft with just the right chew, which makes such a difference. You can tell they care about quality :P What really keeps us coming back, though, is the service. I think the owner is usually there, and he is incredibly kind. He always seems to go above and beyond. He's given my daughter a little treat more than once just to make her day, and one time he even helped me carry our baby stroller down the steps even though he absolutely did not have to lol :) Those small moments really stick with you. Great drinks are one thing, but that kind of genuine kindness is what makes a place feel special. It feels a little elevated, a little indulgent, and always like a nice little treat. I have had this before in the Pleasanton area, but it's been quite some time. The location is on a busy street of Walnut Creek, but it is located right across a parking structure. Inside is pretty small to sit, and ordering is via a kiosk. The drink kiosk is further back in the store. Lychee Fruit Tea: I adjusted to 50% sweet and it was still sweet for me. I added sago for texture and it did give it a nice profile overall. The 4 pieces of lychee also gave it added sweetness to my drink. It was chilled nicely and overall, it did brighten up my mood for the day. I think I need to go to 30% sweet and it will be perfect for me. My favorite place to get boba in the Walnut Creek/Danville/Alamo/Pleasant Hill area. The owners did an amazing job! You can order through a Kiosk or through one of their bobaristas. They are consistent and service is 10/10! It's fairly small inside with a few tables + they also share the area with another business. I always love grabbing a quick boba when I'm in the area on the weekends. I typically order their Brown Sugar Pearl Cocoa Latte with less sugar. You can tell they use quality cocoa. They are so fast at making your drinks, always kind, and there are two ordering pads to make it easy. There's seating in here and it's always very clean. Not a bit of garbage anywhere. I love their drink selection, my favorite is now the dong ding oolong with aiyu jelly. The tea flavor is always on point and I never leave disappointed. Any of their plain teas are so refreshing and my favorite. They also have good milk tea with boba, whatever flavors you like you'll find it here so it's the best spot to go with a crowd. Located on Locust Street (this is one of the great streets in Downtown Walnut Creek to find something to eat) directly across from Melo's Italian Kitchen, I was greeted by who I think was the owner, very nice and welcoming! My order consists of 3 random drinks of Jasmin Tea, Milk Tea with Almond Jelly and Milk Tea with boba. All drinks were delicious and refreshing! They do have a wide variety of drinks on their menu. The place is very clean, spacious, and organized, a great place to hang out with free wifi. There was also a mini Popcorn store inside called Gourmet Popcorn if you want something to munch on. Yifang has been here in Dwtn Walnut Creek for awhile, but I always had walked past it. I recently saw it pop on my "too good to go " app. I had been in the area and ordered a surprise bag. It closed early but got there right at closing time. I had already seen a line, but checked in at the counter. If you haven't used the App, you have a choice of restaurants and eating establishments where you can order a "surprise bag, and pre pay for it. Then you check in at the slotted time and pick up the bag. They initially checked me in and I had to wait for a bit. I was not the only Customer using the app because 4 more peeps behind me also had to wait, along with last minute customers. In the end, I had 3 high quality Bobas for only like $7.00 and some change. I had a Mango Tea; a Sago Tea, and a Taro flavored Boba Milk tea. Definitely worth the wait and I will be back for snacks like their Spam matsubi at Mama's treat inside the same store front. read more

I usually find my good ol' reliable nearby and order a Wintermelon Tea Latte (50% sugar, no ice, with boba) or any of their Matcha options. I've been to Yi Fang twice, once in May with a friend and today on my own. In May, I got the hot taro latte with soy milk at 50% sweet. Today I had the strawberry sago, also with soy milk and 50% sweet. Typically I'm a milk tea gal but I actually liked the strawberry sago better. By no means was the taro bad, but I've just had better elsewhere. The strawberry sago, on the other hand, was AMAZING! It was refreshing and not overly sweet, which hit the spot on a hot day like today. Today was also my first time trying sago and it won't be my last! Service was friendly and fast. Can order on the kiosk or with the bobarista. Today I was the only person in the store part of the time I was there. Even though more people were present the Sunday my friend and I went in May, I don't recall having difficulty finding a spot to sit. Cash and card accepted. Alternative milks are available, though the up charge ranges from $0.50-$1. I'd come back for a sago or cheese cream drink. Since Yi Fang is known for their fruit teas, I will likely stick to those and get my milk tea fix elsewhere. read more

SOO happy that Yifang opened up in Walnut Creek! It is in a shared space with Cornology that sells popcorn, which you can get while you're waiting for your drink :) you really can't go wrong with any of their drinks, I will say it can lean on the sweeter side so I usually get 50% or 75% with boba. I am always up for a sweet treat even if it's a drink so I immediately said yes when my sister wanted to come here. I couldn't tell if they were still in the soft opening phase because when you first walk, there was some construction work on the side. There also wasn't a lot of seating for groups. We put our orders in at the kiosk and there wasn't a long wait, we definitely got there at a good time since a huge line formed after we placed our orders! Stumbled across this new boba shop in Walnut Creek from procrastination with work. They took over the prior boba shop that shares space with the pop corn spot. Order in person or from the tablets. Self explanatory. Lots of fruit tea options- their signature, mango, strawberry, lychee variations, etc. There are also various brown sugar drinks- regular (both with tea or without tea), cocoa, matcha. Winter melon and grass jelly tea drinks also exist here. My daughter was upset they don't have Thai tea, but thankfully she somewhat enjoyed what she chose. I tried their green tea taro drink which was a green tea fresh milk with fresh taro bits. Very fresh and unlike most other taro drinks I've tried. The husband had a grass jelly drink with boba and grass jelly. My son had the brown sugar latte drink and said the pearls were warm and delicious, but the drink portion was rather bland even at regular level sweetness. I guess lacking tea flavor? My daughter tried the cocoa variation of that drink and said the same thing, with exception of it tasting like chocolate milk in the beginning. Def coming back for their fruit teas next time! Ambiance: I thought it was unique that they were renting this location together with another vendor (a gourmet popcorn shop?), so that was interesting. The inside was super clean, and everything looked chic. I loved how they offered plenty of tables and seats for people to hang out and enjoy their drinks. Drinks: Brown Sugar Pearl Oolong Tea Latte - It wasn't my favorite to be honest because the overall drink flavor was predominantly milk sweetened by brown sugar in my opinion, and I felt like the oolong tea didn't really come through very well. Also, the drink was much less creamy than I had expected, so that threw me off a little bit. I did really like the flavor of the boba though. But the boba texture was a bit too tough/chewy for my taste. With that said, the overall look of this drink was just beyond gorgeous. Lychee Aloe Sago - this one was refreshing and delicious. We used to drive out to the Berkeley location, but this location is super convenient since it's only three minutes drive from my work place, a few minutes walk from my daughter's ballet school & the owners are extremely friendly and kind. The couple that owns this place recognizes my daughter and I since we're here practically everyday! We pretty much order the same thing every time; but once in a while, we'll change it up just to see if we'll like the other drinks. It was a goal of mine to try all the boba places in Walnut Creek this month and Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea was one of the shops I couldn't remember if I'd been to before. To be honest I loved their ordering system and that they put the order and the eta on a large screen. That being said I was put off by the fact 0% isn't an option for sweetness as that's what I tend to get. The honey ended up ordering a drink, a lychee fruit tea, with the lowest sweet available - 30% - and after tasting it I was glad I'd held off ordering a second drink because even at the lowest setting, it was still too sweet. Ordered through Snackpass, so it was pretty seamless. The order was pretty quick before pickup. There's a popcorn store at the very entrance so you have to walk to the back. I ordered the brown sugar boba. I wanted to love it, since I just came back from Taiwan and wanted a little taste of boba to remember my travels. Unfortunately the boba was so overcooked that it was mushy. The flavor was decent, but there was absolutely no qq texture. You could mash the boba between your tongue and the roof of your mouth since that's how soft it was. Pretty disappointed, so I probably won't be back. :/ read more
