Loves Boba is located in the downstairs area of the Sun Valley Mall, replacing the old ice cream spot that used to occupy this space. It's on the side of the Round 1, and the food court. It's quite daring to open another boba spot right down stairs from another one with Boba N Me right above, and if you turned around from Loves Boba while waiting for your drink and look up, you can literally see it up there. Not to mention that Surf City Squeeze and Uncle Sharkii are also locations right next to them that also offer boba drinks as an option. But hey, I will never argue against having more boba spots. The decor is certainly interesting and perhaps its biggest selling point. Mixes in anime, Sanrio, and other popular media themes into their decor and their menu items for their drink selection. I do think that cost wise, they feel a bit pricey for what they offer for the size of their drinks. Not that it's too much different compared to the rest of the boba spots in the mall and right next to each other, but certainly not going to be cheap if you leave the mall and go to the abundance of other boba spots around the area, with 2 of them right around the corner from Sun Valley and DVC. They also use the skinny cups, though at least it's the tall one, but not a great bang for your buck. I got the basic milk tea, and it was just alright. They use the more floral tasting tea, so just be aware of that for those who may not like that flavor profile as much. However, the egregious thing for me was the complete lack of boba I got in my cup. For a place that calls themselves Loves Boba, they certainly don't love giving me boba. The boba wasn't bad, but didn't get all that much of it unfortunately. Maybe it was just this time so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They do have some fun desserts, such as rolled ice cream I may try in the future, but as a boba spot, it was just okay on this first visit awhile back. I may go back again in the future as I'm often in the mall every so often.

I was at the mall with my niece and she really wanted milk tea. I remember this place as I was passing by a few times and decided to give it a try. This place used to be where creamery and joy was located, so I was curious to see what opened up. Besides milk tea/fruit tea drinks, they also serve rolled ice cream as well. However, this review is based on what I ordered. I will start at though with the lady who took my order. She was very nice and answered a lot of my questions about their drinks. She also gave my niece a little sticker as well, which I found to be good customer service. Anyway, on to my drink. Totoro: This is their version of earl grey milk tea, but with a flavor addition of lavender. And I will say it was a rather unique flavor profile for me. I think the lavender was a bit too strong, since I didn't get much of the earl grey itself. And there was also some sort of "powder" like taste that lingered in my mouth. Usually, I don't see earl grey having that, and it's rare for me to see lavender as a powder flavor, so I was not sure what that was. Still, I enjoyed this twist on a drink I always normally like, with those floral notes. And the boba was standard (though included for free as basic tapioca pearls). I will add that my niece for the Ariety, which is a Rose and Strawberry Lychee fruit tea. I only got a little taste and that was actually really good. I can see myself ordering from here again. Milk tea I might pass on, but the fruit tea I tasted was promising and would love to give it a try.

What a stunning boba shop. Even though the space is tiny, they utilized it so well. It's very picturesque and a great place to take a break while shopping. The drink themes are Pokémon, hello kitty and some other anime. It's really so cute. I got a passion fruit and mango fruit tea, then a My Melody for my sister. My drink was on the sweeter side but very fruity and refreshing!

This place is a scam... The drinks are very overpriced (~$9) and although they advertise character/movie drinks on their menu, none of the drinks come in any type of special packaging. They are just normal drinks. They even make the same drinks under different character names. You are really just paying for the experience of ordering a drink with an interesting name. The shop itself is very small, with a few seats. It's a cute place but definitely not worth it.

The boba was too hard and almost crumbles in your mouth. The boba was also chunky but the tea was fine.

Fruit tea boba (large size)-- $15 They charged me $15 dollars for a peach strawberry fruit tea with popping boba. Insane. For that price you could have a whole meal with meat protein and the works. This place just seemed too dishonest. I was about to order on the kiosk and the owner lady said she could help me at the register. No price just a menu. After I was charged $15 I realized she called me over to distract me from seeing the price on the kiosk screen and price gouge me some more. Because LETS BE REAL if I saw the price was going to be that much I would not have placed that order! Not ok and not cool. Completely bad business practice, highway robbery. The owners don't make boba drinks because they actually like it or are good at making it and that's very apparent here. It's a money grab. This place doesn't feel right and I left feeling very displeased and like Ive been ripped off. Ok flavor but all it is is sugar, water and some fruit flavoring no actual fruit! I was going to give two stars but you can't justify that price. I'd be surprised it this place lasted more than another year. read more

Super cute boba shop, which drew me in not gonna lie! I didn't want boba but was intrigued when I saw they had Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberries! The pictures looked great but when I actually received the order, it was so upsetting. For context the Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberries were $14, so I was expecting it to be good (wishful thinking!). When I got the strawberries, it was just a cup of strawberries with lots of chocolate and the smallest amount of pistachios and kataifi. I honestly feel like I got scammed because the pictures looked amazing and had pistachio cream. If I would've known this is what I would be receiving, I would've never have gotten it. Love Boba Love Boba is located inside the Sunvalley Shopping Center Concord, few blocks from the food court, and one floor away of another boba place. It looked similar to the boba ice cream place located at Solano Town Center Fairfield. One of the best decor I have seen. I am sure women or girls would love this, great photo op background as well. The ambiance is nice and cute but the place is small. Some in the menu is inspired by anime. Good customer service, order arrived in a timely manner after the selfie and photo op. The person who got our order is the same person who prepared it, it is a not busy weekday early afternoon. The coffee smoothie is sweet but so good. It is creamy, sweet but not too much. However the downside is it costs very expensive compared to other bobas which I believe a factor. Spent $10 for one tall slim boba. It would be nice if it is bigger or price a little but lower just like the other competitors. Overall good experience on the first visit and amazed by their trendy atmosphere. read more

The milk tea shop here at Sunvalley changes all the time. But hey, with each new and "new" spots I got to try them. First things first I love the way they decorated. I love the way they themed every drink. There's a drink to go along side a specific Pokémon. There's milk tea and smoothies of all sort here. I was tempted to get both but I restrained myself and went for only the brown sugar milk with boba. The people that helped me were good. The price of this drink, not so much. $9 per drink? Crazy. I could really taste the brown sugar. The boba tasted fresh. The drink itself was pretty good. I'll definitely come back to try other drinks. read more

I understand the prices need to be higher with a business inside the mall, but at the same time I feel somewhat lied to. If you look up at the menu behind the person working at the counter and register they have what they offer with prices and I have no visual proof, unfortunately, but I could swear that it was $1 cheaper per drink. Also, why advertise BOBA milk tea when you're going to end up charging an extra $1.50 for the Boba after that? My daughter had a strawberry boba drink and said her drink was...okay, but she much prefers a different shop nearby. I got the cookies n cream with no boba or toppings. I have tried SEVERAL businesses who offer these types of drinks and I must be honest. I tasted absolutely no cookies and cream flavor. It tasted like a regular normal everyday plain milk tea. I was disappointed to say the least. While there, my daughter really enjoyed watching the Hello Kitty and friends videos that were playing. I like that it wasn't overly pink decor. read more

Long wait and terrible service. The menus don't have clear prices and the cashier taking our order wasn't making it clear what was an extra charge. He said it came with Boba and then charged extra. And they don't have free tap water like every other restaurant in florida. They said they have water but it's an extra dollar, and we waited extra time for that tap water only for the server to hand me a bottle. I hesitated because I was expecting a cup, and she shot me a nasty look amd rudely asked if something was wrong. I was intimidated so I just took the bottle. Definitely not coming back. read more

Way over priced. Ice cream prices are not displayed. We got 2 small scoops of ice cream for $16. My bad for not asking before ordering. Definitely not coming back. Additional comment: I'm not stupid and understand that taxes are added. Yes, we do buy ice cream at the store and also try to support businesses. The decor is very cute and pink! They have hello kitty and anime related poster with name of drinks. Service was great, the person taking the order is nice and calm even when she was busy. Got jasmine green milk tea with boba, no changes to sweetness level. However, the drink is ok. And the boba is tasteless/bland. Would I return? Probably not unless I'm too lazy to go elsewhere. read more

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it wasn't great. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and when they finally arrived they were not high quality. Especially for such a high price. They also gave one of our teas away to someone else and were hesitant to refund me :( read more

Boba was delicious definitely recommend! I ordered their cookies and cream rolled ice cream and it did take a few minutes but to make up for it they gave us a boba drink on the house! Great people and great costumer service even if their English wasn't the best truly amazing people and shop! read more

They list the ingredients used in each smoothie, so you know all of what they contain. You can even add different boosters such as mass muscle, etc. It's located inside of a gym, to the right side of it. Don't be thrown off, you don't need a membership to enjoy the fantastic smoothies. The workers have been really sweet each time we've visited, and when we ordered via Uber it was ready upon arrival. One of the only drawbacks is how expensive it is. I also really wish that they listed their nutrition facts online. For such a health oriented company it's shocking that they don't, and especially a company of decent size. The smoothies contain dates, nuts, etc. So although they are good ingredients they can be high in fats, so it's important to know. Our smoothie also has coffee as well which we enjoy, but knowing the caffeine content would be appreciated. My last order also had huge white frozen balls that were unblended in it which was odd, I'm not quite sure what they were. If the price was lower, we would come here much more often. It is a great way to start your morning, and makes you feel fantastic afterwards.

My husband arrived around 8:10 AM, after the store's posted opening time of 8:00 AM, only to find the business completely closed with no communication whatsoever. No call. No email. No cancellation notice. Nothing. What followed was somehow worse. I called the store multiple times throughout the day and left several voicemails that were never returned. I also emailed both the location and corporate customer service and received no response. Corporate didn't answer their phones either. All of this over a $35 order that the business happily charged for but never fulfilled. Today, I went into the store in person to ask for a refund and was met with attitude and defensiveness from the manager instead of accountability or even a simple apology. I was told they "do answer their phones" despite my multiple unanswered calls and voicemails. I was then told they could not issue a refund because it had been "more than two days," even though the delay was entirely caused by their complete lack of response and failure to handle the issue. The store being unexpectedly closed is frustrating enough. Ignoring customers afterward and then treating them poorly when they ask for their money back is unacceptable. I'm still waiting to hear from the "other manager" or "boss" who is supposedly able to process my refund. Who apparently already had my information but was "too busy" to respond to me sooner. Give me a break. At this point, it's not even about the $35. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service.

I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.

I recently stumbled upon this charming boba spot in Sunvalley Mall, Concord, while visiting from out of town, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! This cute little gem offers a delightful selection of drinks that are both delicious and refreshing. I tried the red guava slush with coconut jelly, and it was absolutely perfect for a warm day! My husband and kids tried the Thai tea, matcha, and taro were equally delightful--each sip was a treat. The customer service was fantastic as well; the staff was friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for some tasty boba. read more
