At my initial appointment, I asked about the cost of treatment. The entire office seemed surprised by my question. The manager told me it "wouldn't come out of my pocket" because they wanted me to sign a lien against my accident settlement. They recommended 12 visits at $1,000 each and explained that I wouldn't notice any improvement in inflammation until after six treatments. This made me uncomfortable, as the costs were extremely high and the medical necessity was unclear. The whole experience felt more about securing payment than about patient care. When I left, the staff's expressions were telling -- almost as if they knew it was unusual. In my opinion, treatment referrals should come from a licensed physician who has evaluated your condition, not through an attorney. I ultimately decided not to proceed.

I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wollaston and was told I needed to complete paperwork online beforehand. When I later reviewed the forms, I discovered a statement indicating that, due to low reimbursement rates from Medicare and other insurance providers, the office charges a $300 annual administrative fee. According to the form, new patients are allowed two visits, but must pay the $300 fee prior to a third visit. This fee is billed annually, beginning April 1. I contacted Medicare directly and was informed that physicians may only charge additional fees under specific circumstances, such as concierge or retainer arrangements, or for services not covered by Medicare. Based on that information, this fee does not appear to fall into any of those categories. What was especially concerning is that this fee was never disclosed to me when I scheduled the appointment. When I spoke with the office manager, Evelina, and asked why, I was told that informing patients is something to the effect of hit or miss. Due to the lack of transparency, I canceled my appointment and requested documentation showing that this fee is permitted for Medicare patients. I will also be following up with Medicare regarding this matter. I have attached a screenshot of the form referencing the $300 charge.

None of the doctors could pinpoint the cause of his Eustachian tubes not opening and closing properly, causing abnormal drainage and inadequate hearing. My wife had good experiences with Eastern medicine as a child and adult, so we decided to look into options involving acupuncture/acupressure and herbs. We tried one place, but drinking the tea they prescribed was very difficult for our son, and we didn't see any changes after several weeks to pursue this further. After looking for other options, my wife found Point on Yelp and saw all the positive reviews. We were somewhat wary about having to pay out of pocket, but we needed quality and change for my son. With a combination of herbs, acupressure, and reducing dairy intake/sugar (for inflammation reduction), we started to see some changes that we hadn't seen before (approximately 4 weeks into the sessions). There were a few subtle changes that happened sooner, but the most noticeable ones involved ears popping, drainage, and my son's ability to hear normally for several days. When we saw the ENT, he said my son's ear drums were looking good and that we didn't have to pursue PE tube insertion again at this time. Sigal took her time to talk to my wife over the phone before the first appointment to explain how the treatment could work, giving us realistic expectations. She continued to work with us on modifying the herbal formulas as well as training/educating on the different pressure points of the body so we could do the massages at home as well. There are never any guarantees when it comes to health but it's nice to know that there are alternative forms of healthcare that might just take things in a new/better direction. This may be a good place for others to try as well.

I got a referral to see him and from the very first appointment, I felt taken seriously, listened to, and supported during one of the scariest moments of my life. Being told you have cancer is overwhelming, but the way everything was explained to me was clearly, honestly, and with compassion. It made all the difference. The surgery to remove my cancerous testicle was handled with absolute professionalism and skill. His team coordinated with me for all the pre op stuff. I felt scared but confident going into the procedure, and my recovery went exactly as I was told it would. Every question I had was answered, no matter how small, and I never once felt rushed or dismissed. If you're looking for a urologist who is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, and truly invested in your health and well being, I couldn't recommend anyone more highly. I'm incredibly grateful for the care I received and for helping me move forward and keeping up with my follow up care. I am always grateful every follow up visit I get to see him. So thank you Dr. Kuppermann for helping a young guy go through a tough time in their life.

I will never use this medical office again based on the lack of care from the office staff. It should not take 3 weeks to cancel/reschedule an appointment because I had serious surgery scheduled on the same day, nobody answers the phone. They will have an "operator" answer and they will always mark the message as "urgent" only for them to never reply, and when they do it's a week later in one ring and they don't leave a voicemail like it's their prank. You have to wonder what they're doing in the office to never answer the phone or return the calls that the operator leaves for them. I also had a telehealth appointment and it went straight to voicemail for the doctor to say to call back. Nobody would connect me to the doctor. I had to wait days to hear about my results, and even then the Dr didn't even send them to my orthopedic even though he said he was "sending it now". Now I need to go to the lab to get my results because NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE IN THESE DOCTORS OFFICES. I was also prescribed a medication that another Dr here made it seem like it was harmless for bladder issues, only to find out on my own it can cause severe vision loss and. permanent blindness. I got better advice from my PCP and the problem was solved. The office staff needs to seriously be investigated as it appears they never do their jobs and leave sick people out in the cold. It's unfair to leave clients to be frustrated at the operators because the office staff in the doctor's offices here refuse to do their due diligence. People can die from this negligence.

Thankfully it was easy to figure out where to park because of the instructions sent to me, but the parking is down a scary steep and tight curvy driveway so I had to go very slowly. Once underground I easily found parking near the elevator and went straight up to the department. As the elevators opened I was awed, from outside the building looks like a regular building, but when you come out of the elevator suddenly you're transported into a luxurious waiting room, so peaceful, spacious and beautiful. Staff is friendly, from the front desk all the way to the procedural area, everyone is kind and explains everything. When I was taken to the changing rooms and I changed into the pink gown, I was surprised how soft the gown is. Why can't all gowns be so soft???????? I could not stop touching the soft material, it is so soothing!!! Once I was taken in for my procedure, I was very impressed by the Doctor who was performing the biopsy, he was very compassionate and professional. Between him and the staff helping (who I'm sorry I don't remember anyone's name), I felt very at ease. What I expected to be painful I barely felt, and they informed me of every step along the way. Afterwards I was given these cute little ice packs that stick to the area along with some extra supplies in case I need at home. If I ever have to have this done again (hopefully not though) I would definitely come back to this location.

He proves that a doctor's visit doesn't need to be hours long to be thorough, thoughtful, detailed, effective, and--most importantly--to make you feel genuinely seen and heard. He is incredibly prompt and respectful of your time, while somehow never making the appointment feel rushed. He's kind, funny, caring, attentive, and has a way of immediately putting your mind at ease. I left feeling completely confident that my health is in very good hands. I'm newly postpartum, and he has been wonderful in helping me navigate the reins of this new chapter and come up with a plan for a truly healthy future so I can be my best self for my baby. He was incredibly thorough, provided me with excellent referrals, and made the entire process so seamless. I was able to have my labs done immediately after my appointment, received the results that same day, and he had already reviewed and addressed them with me. That kind of attentiveness and follow-through is so appreciated and, unfortunately, not something you find everywhere. He even went the extra mile discussing medication options and copays with me, actively trying to find the most affordable choices--definitely not something most PCPs go out of their way to do. Dr. Thomassian is the epitome of a doctor who genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about helping people. My husband and I both agree that we'll proudly and gladly keep him as our PCP until we're old and gray. Sorry, Dr. Thomassian--you're stuck with us for life! Couldn't recommend him more highly.
