This was my first visit after two neurologists. It's a nice building with. Parking lot attached which just feels so much better and safer. The office is small but when I got in it was nice to see NatGeo playing on the TV, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wait was long but it looks like she's the only doctor there and gives everyone the time they need to be heard. I'm fine waiting for someone who will listen. She took my concerns and what I had researched on my own into consideration and agreed with the diagnostic; I've had nerves tested and MRIs but she was the first test hotspots for pain for Fibro. She listened, that's the most important thing to me, that she listened and asked what I wanted from this visit. The blood work was another wait but the phlebotomist was excellent, no pain save some discomfort for the amount of blood having to get done but she was fast and efficient. Honestly, I'm really happy here so far. Yes the waits are long but like I said, I'd rather a long wait and get a doctor who takes time to listen than one that just rushes through everyone. read more

This woman and her office staff are AWFUL!My first appointment took almost 2 hours in the waiting room to be seen,and another 30 minutes back in the waiting room to get my blood drawn afterwards.I found the doctor to be disgusting.Her bedside manner was reprehensible.She first told me that my symptoms were not rheumatoid arthritis-even though I brought all the documents and such from my prior rheumatologist who was actually a good doctor.She told me I have tendinitis and that because I had hep c in the past,it will pop on a blood test as rheumatoid factor. Like I don't know what tendinitis feels like.She basically took everything I said I was experiencing and the treatment I was already going through, and shot them down one by one-she gave a strong vibe like I am an idiot and don't know my own body or have 2 years of prior experience with excellent rheumatology care.You know when someone condescends you with a smile? That's her.She(at a later appointment)apologized and corrected herself after her own blood test showed what the packet I brought from my last doctor said.She also told to not complain to her about pain if I don't diet and exercise every single day. The first time we met.I'm sorry...don't complain to you about pain?Is this real life?I expressed my desperation to get a cortisone shot since I can't work from the pain-and between insurance changing and the time it took to get this appointment,I had been way overdue. I hoped the medical history and notes from my prior doctor would be enough.She said no because I have bad insurance and she doesn't want to risk not getting reimbursed,I'll have to come again.But first, they wanted me to come in just to read my blood test results.I would have to make a 3rd appointment before getting cortisone relief.I explained that I live far away (it took me 1.5 hours just to get there) and asked can we please make it zoom.They said no I have to come in.I openly got annoyed and asked why her office is the only office that doesn't offer zoom?The doctor came out when she heard me and told them zoom would be fine.I left there after 2.5 hours no cortisone shots and angry at how I was just treated.But I need a rheumatologist,so I told myself to give her more time to prove me wrong about how she and her staff behave.The zoom went fine so I felt like maybe it'll be ok from here on out.I made the next appointment for the shot, went in, she used her ultrasound machine-and I don't know what she did,but that shot was bunk.My thumb pain not only did not decrease whatsoever,it got worse and has not gotten better since!Did she shoot me up with a placebo?How is this even happening?At that time I was to have another blood test done and did make another zoom appointment that day for those results.Here we are a month or so later.My zoom appointment was supposed to be yesterday morning.The time was going by with no link or any info sent.I called the office and spoke to Rose.She proceeded to tell me that I have to come in for this appointment (mind you it was already the time for the zoom appointment)and I told her this is a zoom appointment though and the doctor and I agreed this at the last appointment.She told me "well it was a sudden decision she made like a week ago.Because of the furlough" so I asked if no one thought to call and let me know? so that I could prepare to come in?Her response was that she called me 2 days ago and left a message to confirm the appointment and would have told me at that time IF I had called back.Excuse me?!How do you not make sure her patients know this?She told me "well you didn't call back"-ok since when does letting me know the appointment is no longer over zoom require a confirmation call back from me when they're the ones who changed it without my knowledge?!and I did call back but all the lines were full and I got a text saying to call back.I work hard and forgot, and not calling back doesn't cancel or change anything anyways. And her message said "to confirm" not "you'll need to come in".Her office staff have the same attitude and mentality she does.No accountability and no care.No apologies-nothing!This doctors office is so OBVIOUSLY ripping off insurance companies with how many appointments they want you to make for every tiny little thing-and then they have the audacity to treat people like sh*t in the process!I don't know who these people think they are,but I'm not the one.Also, she still owes me my blood test information and Rose never offered any new appointment.Just said "ok" and hung up.I can't stand people who take advantage of others just because they're in a position of some type of power-whether it's her staff or her.I hope they read this too-you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.May future office staff and future doctors treat you as you've treated us. read more

I was sent here by my insurance company. My last appointment in December i had to wait about 40 minutes in the room before I questioned what is up. They said she is all bt herself and running late .y appointment was at 10 am. Today I had a phone conference with the dr. at 3pm and they confirmed at 250pm. I called the office at 420 pm and they said my schedule was between 3 and 4. They then said dr is running late . If you have a choice, please avoid unless you want to waste your time. read more

When you're sick you want a doctor who listens to your concerns and takes into account your individual treatment plan. Dr Dolatabadi is not one of those doctors. She prescribed me a medication I was allergic to after I told her that I was allergic to it and snapped at me that she prescribes this to all of her autoimmune patients. This is an extremely dangerous mindset for a doctor and I urge anyone considering her for care to cancel you appointment right away. Aside from the flagrant disregard for her patients well-being, the office is unorganized and you can expect a 2-3+ hour wait to see the doctor. I have been to this office three times and have always waited anywhere between 1:45 hrs and the worst one was 3:15 hours. Overall horrible experience, I'm surprised she still has a practice. read more

This has been one of the worst dr experiences I've ever had. I do not Yelp, but I felt compelled to in this instance. I was referred to this dr by my primary. I took a day off work to make the appointment and drove to downtown LA. I waited for over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. When I was finally seen I met with the dr (who was lovely) for about 10 minutes. They then sent me back into the waiting room for a blood draw. I waited for ANOTHER HOUR. When I finally got my blood draw the woman hurt me so badly I started to cry. I have never cried from a blood draw before. She had to switch arms because she butchered my other arm so badly. I was left with bruises on both arms. I was then scheduled for a follow up video appointment to go over my test results about a month later. I called the dr office that morning to confirm and they checked me in on the phone and told me I would receive a text with a link to the video apppointment. The text never came. Finally, an hour and a half after my appointment time, I got a call from the Dr saying she was sorry but they still did not have my test results but they would definitely have them by the next day. I scheduled (and cleared time in my work schedule) for the following day. Yet again, the appointment time came and went. I called and asked what happened and they hung up on me. Then they called me back and said they did not have an appointment for me. Then they said that the Dr got behind schedule. Then they said that they did but they did not have my test results anyways. They started to offer me another appointment time for the following day and I said that I did not want to block time off for a THIRD time and wait around for an hour. We left it by saying they would call me to set up another appointment. I have never had such negligent, unorganized, awful care in my life. STEER CLEAR. I had a painful blood draw for nothing and still have no answers on my medical condition. *I would give zero stars if it was an option read more

Dr. Dolatabadi is a great rheumatologist. She has an outstanding bedside manner and is very thorough with understanding her patients' medical history. Having seen 2 other rheumatologists (who were also good) she was able to understand my illness better, update my diagnosis and update my medications and ultimately help me FEEL 100% healthy. I mean, this is priceless. She always remembers to ask about my lifestyle and not just push medicine. She has always been encouraging when I tell her about my exercise activities and eating healthier. The back office staff is AMAZING with reminders about getting blood drawn and upcoming appointments. Lastly, Albert is simply the BEST. He is an unsung hero. He has been able to help me on several occasions navigate through the complexity of health insurance. read more

So many red flags! Incompetent office staff and inattention to detail. 1) They have not updated their physical address on their website. Is this something the office lets new patients know when they book an appointment over the phone? No. I had to first go to the address they list on their website to find out that I was in the wrong place. 2) did the office staff tell me that the doctor was running about two hours late due to their medical records system crashing? No. Did they give me the option to reschedule when I checked in because the doctor was so behind schedule? No. 3) after waiting two hours, I had to leave and get on with my life. The office staff persons response: but you are next to see the doctor. No thanks. 4) the doctor did call me as I was driving away to apologize and let me know why she was so late, which I appreciate. But, if you can't hire qualified office staff or train them properly then I don't feel I can trust your office with my care. read more

This doctor and I doubt if she is, knew that I was going to die from a low red blood count and did not tell me (see JoAnn Pullen MD}and was told by DR. Pullen to let me die. I did not know what was wrong except that I was growing weak. She had a choice of helping me or telling me to find another doctor but she waited till I was dying and told me she would not help me. Once I was home I passed out and my manager found me on the floor and called an ambulance. I think God was looking out for me that night because Soha's hospital was full and I was sent to a hospital that had a real doctor. I had a Red Blood Count of 4.1 (normal is 13.3 to 16.6),and Ammonia. I was given 7 to 8 pints of blood, a Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. I turned this doctor in not for revenge but to stop her from hurting anyone else. I am a activist who helps the poor not be taken advantage of. I cannot praise this doctor enough. I have been struggling for the last 4 years to find a doctor who would not only help me but help me come up with a diagnosis. Not only did she order every sort of test under the sun she was able to figure out what was wrong with me and able to get me started on treatment asap. She seriously brought tears to my eyes when she told me because it's been such a struggle and I'm so extremely grateful. Worst doctor's office I have ever been to. I've been calling for at least two weeks to get a hold of my lab results from months ago so that my new doctor can compare results and move forward with the right treatment plan. Staff has given me issues in the past. My last appointment was supposed to be a video call with the doctor. They called 40 minutes early from our scheduled time and I was still at work. I called them right back and then again during our scheduled time and was never able to get a hold of anyone or make another appointment again. Seriously do not waste your time here. I was suffering from debilitating knee pain for close to two years and had been misdiagnosed by so many doctors and specialists before I found Dr. Dolatabadi. She caught what no one else could and finally got me the right diagnosis! She cares so much about her patients and she makes you feel like family. Everyone in this office is kind, caring, supportive, informative, and always remembers my name. I feel so comfortable walking into this doctor's office. The doctor herself is patient and makes me feel listened to and never rushed. The wait time for my scheduled appointments and always lengthy. The doctor spends a lot of one-on-one time with each patient. Though I've never been seen on time, I have never left Dr. D.'s office feeling like I didn't matter. Ok, that does it. While I'd like to comment on how the doctor is, I am not able to because of how rude the staff is. I can only tell how the doctor is based on all the negative reviews. Now I understand Completely why this group has so many negative reviews about the doctor and staff. This Nancy woman always kept interrupting me regardless of me calling in 15 minutes prior to my virtual appointment with the doctor. She then leaves me on hold for another more than 15 minutes. I ask her if this is Nicole. She tells me that "there is no Nicole that works here". She then talks over me (again) while I've pointed out to her that I'm calling in early to see the doctor as promised, she disregarded everything I say as usual, puts me on hold again, and I'm on hold, again. 15 more minutes later, And then a woman picks up the phone and she says her name is Nicole (who doesn't exist according to the lies of Nancy). Then Nicole tells me that I have to wait for the doctor to jump on to the virtual visit that I set up an entire month ago, for at least a TWO HOUR window period. Before this episode today from them, same pattern before - Nancy and Nicole: cut me off, transferring me to everyone but the doctor I asked for, making me hold for multiple long periods of time, no apologies, no win-win solutions. I mean, I guess if you're retired and rich and have nothing else better to do, you can afford to just 'wait around' for two- three hours for the doctor to actually see you and complete their session with you, but since this is not the case for most- go somewhere else! Thanks for wasting all of our time and energy. No wonder why the doctor and office has so many negative reviews. Probably has something to do with the fact that the world does not revolve around you. Not 20 minutes, not 45 minutes but an hour...I've waited 2.5 hours. And if you are more than 10 minutes late will not allow you to keep your appointment. If a laboratory work is recommended by Dr. Soha, this is NOT THE PLACE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. In my case, I am not even sure if that woman who tried to get sample of my blood was a pro. The way she performs, behaves and handled the situation After I gave her the idea that. "using a winged infusion set / butterfly ( the one usually used for kids ) 99% success with my Left arm. For some reason using the big needle venipuncture it'd be 100% NADA." Seeing her grabbing the big needle and trying my right, I thought, " this woman must be a pro (read: challenged and wanted to exercise her professionalism the hard way compared to the info that was mentioned.)" Poked each arm and was unsuccessful using that big needle set. Instead of being sorry of how she performed. She compared her past experience saying, " this is nothing. When I had mine done before I ended up having swollen arm and big as this. At the same time she was giggling" "I don"t care about anybody else but myself, I said." Her co worker helped when asked. Kind of rude too. Even after being warned of how rough she was. She ended up poking deeper roughly the already inserted needle at the same time moving it side to side. This time I mentioned, "if my husband will know what transpired here he will react." Instead of being sorry woman replied ,' let your husband come and I will take care of him." Both woman were giggling. Anyway, in spite of what transpired, to finish what has been started, allowed that woman to poked me again this time my Left arm using the winged infusion set. Success. She was able to extract blood and filled first tube of the 5 that were on the tray laying by me. If she should have listened right away. The bad part was, she allowed herself to be distracted by her co worker who came asking what her order for lunch will be. Looking at the inserted swaying needle side to side I told her, "Ms. you better pay attention to what you are doing otherwise needle gets dislodge. " "No it's not and it won"t" She was all wrong. This time I said, " no more poking and I am not continuing any treatment here. I went to the front . Aired what I have experienced in that small four cornered little cubicle. Requested that I talk to the Dr. She came out but went straight to those women and made only a quick stop asking what happened. Asking my $ 40.00 co pay back. A man ( a husband maybe / who knows ) came to her rescue instructing me to lower my voice. My voice was NOT LOUD LOUD either but a little raised because of the pain, rude treatment I just experience at the back. He expected me to dance and sing? Long story short. If those women who tried drawing blood on me were a pro. They should 1. know what hygiene is = touching a punctured area with bare fingers is a big NO. Contamination, infection, etc. who knows what. 2. be gentle 3. doesn't compare personal experience with patient. Every individual has different threshold of pain. 4. be compassionate 5. know when to PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing. And when to allow distraction. Although this initial visit with Dr. Soha itself was pleasant. Reading reviews about her demeanor ( re: Erica M. review) , of dishonesty / astronomical charges from out of pocket and to the insurance company. That's terrible . Reason why in spite of the fact that I ended up suffering from a bruised painful arms due to multiple needle punctures had transpired in her office. I still call it a blessing. Why? Otherwise, I will end up doing continuing office visits and that unexpected astronomical out of pocket and insurance charges might happen. Reason why Insurance was given a heads up that this visit didn't materialized in case they will be billed. All I can say now, is My OH My!!!! It was sure a waste of time, money ( gas, wear and tear of vehicle plus the expensive parking which they don't validate ) and effort... I should have stayed home and accomplished something else. read more

I've had both negative and positive encounters with various medical personnel, but I have to say, this doctor is my absolute favorite! Dr. Dolatabadi runs her practice more like a family than a stoic office. She's personable and relatable; introducing you to her entire team on your first visit. Right away, you notice how welcoming everyone is. I've also gotten to know Cecilia, the office manager, and Albert, the registered nurse - both are utterly fantastic. Also, Dr. Dolatabadi's knowledge and scope of medicine is quite impressive. She've very thorough and puts a lot of time into discovering the true nature of your ailment. Bad medicine and fraudulent billing! I saw Dr. Dolatabadi for both an annual physical and to treat a rash. She misidentified the condition (which was later correctly treated by a different physician that I had to visit). She also suggested an EKG that she indicated was covered by insurance. When I asked if the EKG was medically necessary, she indicated it would be beneficial. The service ultimately wasn't covered by my insurance and I was charged out-of-pocket months later. She is dishonest and shouldn't be trusted with your health. Finally, the wait times at her office were pretty bad. I've certainly seen worse, but this was well below average. Look for another physician if at all possible. read more

The doctor is lovely but beware of any blood work she wants you to get. She recommended a panel that she said my insurance might not cover, in which case I would only be charged a small sum by the lab who ran the test. Well, now I have a $600 bill. Either she was just ignorant of how the billing actually works, or is consciously misleading people. At this price tag, I certainly would have declined the test. You should also expect long waits and for the computers to often be down. Dr. Dolatabadi had a lovely bedside manner and seemed genuine and concerned, which made getting this huge lab bill an especially rude surprise. read more

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 19. I'm about to turn 40, so I have had it for half of my life, and I've seen many doctors in this time as I've moved to different cities with insurance changes several times over the years. I was very unhappy with the rheumatologist I had been seeing for the last several years in Culver City, let alone the drive there from Hollywood with their expectations that I could pop in anytime for any reason. That doctor is terrible in many ways, but enough about the bad experiences. I was referred to Dr. Dolatabadi after the disappointing doctor no longer accepted my insurance and I could not be happier with the result! Dr. Dolatabadi is the first doctor I have ever seen who asked me about my diet, exercise and lifestyle without me having to approach the topic myself, only to be told (as I was by other doctors) that "there is not sufficient evidence to link any kind of diet with autoimmune illnesses". Dr Dolatabadi's office is very clean and well kept and she is very knowledgeable and passionate about actually helping her patients! While her staff does not necessarily seem well trained or even bright, I am happy to overlook this as the doctor is perhaps the best rheumatologist I've ever seen. So my husband and I just switched insurance companies and chose this doctor's office very randomly, thinking that 3 1/2 stars on yelp would be good enough for a general practitioner. I can't say anything about the doctor herself since we were never seen by her but the lady assisting people on the phone was very rude. I was trying to make an appointment and I asked her to hold on for maybe 20 seconds when she hung up on me, not on accident (since I heard her saying bye as she hung up on me). We are looking for another practitioner since we are not comfortable with this situation, not to mention the fact that I could never really seem to get a hold of someone, q and when I finally did, the assistant was unpleasant... so sad that I have to base this review on this issue instead on the doctor's visit but I hope that this help improve customer service read more

BEWARE of this "doctor"!! I went to her for a SECOND opinion, AND REGRET ever going and wasting my time and money! Let me start by saying I've worked in the medical field for 20 years, and i have NEVER experienced such a rude and condescending doctor in my life, until this one. I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease about a month ago and was put on a medication called hydroxychloroquine. I began experiencing very bizarre side effects. This doctor was all great until the moment i said the medication was causing me issues. After that moment, she changed her whole demeanor towards me. She told me that it was NOT the medication and for me not to blame the medication because it was "the best one out there for treatment" (clearly someone is getting a paycheck from the pharmaceuticals). She then in a nutshell told me that i don't sleep because i stay up thinking too too much about my health and all I'm experiencing is in my head. Excuse me???? THEN.... she tells me she "thinks" i have a different condition, fibromyalgia, and wanted me to swim and relax before bed time. Again, WHAT?! Here's where she gets incredibly unprofessional; she tells me "you don't have to do a lot in the pool just get in and walk around. You don't have to do anything that will get your pretty little hair wet or your makeup". Excuse, what?! (I was in gym clothes for my appt, mind you.) She wanted me to keep a log of how much i swam, and how many nights i got a good 8 hrs of sleep and go back and see her in 4 wks. She made me feel so incredibly uncomfortable and like she was so annoyed that i had expressed the side effects of the meds. She was a waste of time, money, and was incredibly rude!!
