They also made sure to put everyone's order in at once so it didn't come out of the kitchen sporadically. Food had mixed reviews from our crew. Those who got the salmon, pork chops, steak, and fish seemed to enjoy their food--especially the salmon. Those who got quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches were less than impressed. My quesadilla has a bag clip fall out of it and the pineapple "salsa" was just pineapple and bell peppers so I was disappointed there. People said the burgers tasted like meat on a bun--no seasoning. Those who got soft drinks didn't get refills and we were disappointed to learn that the bar had closed as it was one of the reasons we chose here. The staff did fairly well for the amount of people we had plus the rest of the restaurant. We managed to get in and out in about 2 hours. Outside of the building, you can see the farm where a lot of their food is grown. I've been here probably a dozen times, and each time was a treat, with fresh food from their local gardens and farms. Surprisingly, the restrooms here are cleaner than Stoll's, where the restrooms are often out of order. This is a much more pleasant experience at Schwartz's. The servers are very nice and helpful. There is a small area for their Amish store of honey, fresh vegetables, and other delights. Where they excel is their pies. While their competitor uses cheap packet pies, Schwartz's has homemade pies, all fresh. I highly recommend the blueberry cream pie and the peach pie. A nice view of the rural surroundings, even if it is on the highway, but so is the other Amish place. The atmosphere is very nice. There is a lot of good feeling in the air.
