While the ladies behind the counters taking orders were very nice, my food left a lot to be desired. I ordered a shrimp boil with Cajun seasoning. Once you take off the shrimp shell, there went the seasoning. As you can see in the second picture the potatoes were dry, very dry. The corn didn't taste like much, like they threw it in the water to boil it but didn't add salt or butter to it to help with the flavor. As soon as you walk in, you know they sell seafood boils. There's a dessert spot across the way, but the seafood is definitely the boss here. Everyone doesn't eat seafood in my family, so I like the variety. Their chicken tenders are hungry man worthy-nothing rooty poo like what you find on a kids menu. The cheese fries are great, the wings are winging, and the Philly gyro made me think about taking a bite. The fish sandwich is served in a bun and you can choose the fish you want on it. There are many things I want to try here, so I'll be sure to grab something different every time I'm in town. Doesn't take very long to get your food piping hot! The catfish and fries were cooked to perfection, I asked for Cajun seasoning, but I don't think it had any on it. Still very delicious with some lemon and hot sauce, or tartar. Hubs liked the Cajun grilled Mahi Mahi. While we were eating, a man (probably the owner or manager) came over and asked if could bring us a treat if we liked pistachios. A few minutes later he returned with a piece of art! A Crepe filled with pistachio crumbles, topped with pistachio butter, and white chocolate with pistachio crumble on the edge. Not only was it delicious, it was almost too pretty to eat. We had a great lunch. The restaurant is spotless, and their health score is 99. I finally stopped in and now wished I had kept driving by. I ordered a Cod fish sandwich with a side order (at 2.50) of Cole slaw. My Cod was overcooked, under seasoned and over powered by the lettuce, tomato and sauce. In retrospect I'm glad that the sandwich came with so much 'salad' since it helped me chew through the incredibly tough filet of fish. I was expecting a tender, flaky and moist piece of fish instead I received shoe leather. Oh and my $2.50 side order of slaw, forget about it, it was less than two tablespoons and tasteless! While visiting our friend this past Saturday evening, who was in town for military training, we decided to try this place out. When we all walked in, there were people that were sitting eating their food and plenty of people in line. We waited for about 20 minutes for our food, which was piping hot. Our friend, Cleo, had Fisher Boil with Lemon Pepper ($19.99). He said that he loved it; but that he had the crab cakes several days before, and that they were dry. He wanted to give this restaurant another chance; and he's glad that he did. He will definitely get the Fisher Boil again. My husband and I decided to share the Cajun Steam Pot ($34.99). Because it was $15 more than our friends, we were disappointed to realize that we had the same amount of corn (2 half pieces) and potatoes with our crab legs, lobster claws, mussels and shrimp. The food was absolutely delicious; but I am disappointed to state that the lobster claws were dry and chewy. Also, we weren't given any kind of tool to crack open the crab and ended up having to use our teeth. Also, the cheap plastic wear given to us while sitting inside the restaurant, wasn't helpful in getting the meat out of the crab legs. While we were eating, so many other people came and ordered their food; so it was obviously a very popular restaurant. Whenever we end up back in Radcliff, I'm insisting on we come back to this restaurant. All in all, it was fabulous. read more

Had an opportunity to visit the Fish House again, and this time we tried the shrimp boil, which has shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and corn. You have a choice of lemon pepper, Cajun, or Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp and potatoes were very good. The corn was okay, but obviously not fresh corn on the cob, and I thought it needed a little butter and salt. Overall, though, a very good meal. As an out-of-towner, it was my first time eating here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. You walk up to order at the counter and wait for your order number to be called. The lady at the register was sweet and very helpful to us. There's a self-serve drink station and you get a styrofoam cup. The tea station was down, so little bit of a bummer there, but there were soda options. Plenty of seating is available for dine-in guests. We dined in on a Saturday night and met up with in-laws for an early Father's Day meal. The total for 4 of us was just shy of $100.00 which seemed pricey for such a seemingly-casual place. The menu is extensive, if not exhausting, as there are so many interesting options. Impressive. The dessert case looked wonderful as well and I regret not snagging a cake for later! Wish the sweets were labeled, though. No names/no prices listed anywhere. The wait for our food wasn't bad at all. There were several others dining in at the same time as us and numerous pick up/to-go orders going out as well. Our meals were ready within about 10-15 minutes, were hot, and seemed very fresh. I am not an adventurous seafood eater and stuck with fried Cajun shrimp. My husband had grilled Mahi-mahi and was impressed with the proportion of fish to side items. His fish was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The in-laws split one of the big seafood boils, and still had leftovers to take home. Everyone left full and happy. Just a few minor critiques. There are baskets of various condiments on each table but none had any ketchup, so we had to ask for some. And then my in-laws had a heck of a time trying to eat crab legs and lobster without crab crackers and seafood forks! They had to get quite messy using their hands to crack and dig out the meat, so we joked they need to bring their own next time! Sadly we didn't snap any pictures. But we would definitely visit here again. There are many options even for those who don't love seafood. We had good service and enjoyed our meals. I maintain that the prices are high especially considering everything is packaged in styrofoam containers versus spending nearly as much at Red Lobster for a totally different dining experience with real dishes, wait staff, and more food for the buck. I am a big Fish / Shrimp lover and being a Military family relocating every 3 years East-coast to West-coast and back, having lived in many different states and tried many places to eat fish, all though a bit higher priced the food is so good and the portions are worth the cost especially knowing I'm paying more for shrimp regardless, they do not skimp on Quality or Quantity. Exactly what I was craving! I spent every bit of an hour on Yelp trying to find something. I'd passed this place multiple times, but never thought to stop. I am so glad I decided to stop in. The menu in the restaurant looked like it had more than the pictures on here, but everything on here was also on the menu in person. I got the 3 piece catfish dinner and a side of chicken gizzards. I drove really fast to get home to eat it while it was hot, but it was so freshly made that it melted the to-go container...so no need to rush home if you get takeout. I told my buddy that I didn't have time during my lunch to chase all over town and my buddy reminded me that I should call in my order, that's why I've never said that I was a genius. I was able to enjoy this wonderful restaurant while on a visit to the area. There were a lot of things on the menu that I wanted to try but I settled on a combo of catfish and jumbo shrimp. I called it in since the reviews stated they cooked to order. I was able to pick it up immediately once I got there and it was still smoking hot when I checked it. They had left off the lemon pepper I requested so I added it at the counter and all the sauces were in packs to the side of the counter. I would have liked it better for fish and shrimp this excellently prepared to have a better tartar sauce than the sweet stuff in the packets but it had to do. The fish and shrimp were crisp and deliciously seasoned. The shrimp were not at all over-cooked and were the star of my meal. I sub'd okra for the fries and they were ok--the breading seemed a little thick. I wanted to try the wings and frog legs but I would have never been able to eat all that.
