It took them about 36 minutes to come and take our order which would be fine if they hadn't started to bus our table while we were eating because they had another reservation to fill. So this place on social media and wanted to take my partner out for a cute dinner. Walking there we missed it because there had two huge inflatable soccer balls on front of the restaurant. It was to represent the World Cup happen during the time. Walking inside it was cute. All the tables were high top but they sat us at a nice table. My partner enjoyed how the restaurant was decorated. We got some drink and I order Lost in Love. It was garnish pretty and the drink was tasty. I order the steak frites and it was delicious. It was cooked to my liking and the chimichurri sauce was so good. My partner enjoyed his burger. We got crème brûlée for dessert and wish it had a harder sugar shell. Absolutely awful experience. Never again. Do NOT recommend. One of the staff, in charge of refilling water, spilled water on our table multiple times. I watched him spill on other tables as well. He never apologized. He never wiped it up. Then 4th time he filled our glasses, he spilled the water on my wife. He did not apologize. He did not even acknowledge it and it was very clear that he noticed he did it. My wife, quite restrained, let our waitress know what happened. Her response: "What do you want me to do about it?" My wife said that he should not serving water if he doesn't know how to pour it properly. The waitress, moments later, told him what we had said, merely inches from our tables. Beyond awkward. And, instead of coming over and apologizing, he simply never returned to our table. No more water. The waitress had an attitude with us since we sat down - no idea what we could have done - unsure what was going on - but it was beyond unpleasant. Most of our "table conversation" was about how lousy the staff were acting and how uncomfortable we felt along with how much we couldn't wait to leave. It's aesthetically pleasing very beautifully set up. Definitely worthy if you love taking photos for your social media. The staff was very nice and attentive we called in advance to verify for food allergies and making sure we could get a high chair for a toddler. I guess they miss understood because the tables were wayyyy higher than the high chair causing the litter guest not want to stay in her chair. Over all the food quality is ok not something I would go seeking out again,it's a bit overpriced for the quality that you get. I almost missed it at first, it's a bit tucked away, but finding Lillie's feels like discovering a hidden gem. The moment you step inside, you're transported to the Victorian era, with ornate details and charming décor that make the entire space feel like an experience in itself. Honestly, I think it worked out for the best--the bar felt more spacious than the table seating and had a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon. The waitress can exchange the table for us before the reservation ppl arrive but choose not too, customer service was definitely lacking. Especially the restuarant was not that busy (they had time standing around). Food - we ordered the afternoon tea set for each person. the setting was presentable, it taken alot of space on the table but it was just regular egg, salmon and cucumber sandwich, scones, macarons, and some other sweets with berries and grapes nothing special about it, no signature monologs or any specialty. We arrived early for our 4p Friday night reservation. They are strict about 90 minutes at the table so they suggested that since the kitchen didn't open until 4, that we wait to sit until closer to 4. I thought that was strange since the place was empty - why not give us an extra 10 mins? But a policy is a policy. I went to the bathroom downstairs while we waited. It was super cute but I didn't appreciate the full length mirror on the side of the stall. Who wants to see themselves pee? We got a small glass of water and our drinks right away. But then no one came to refill the waters. This usually bothers me but I was super thirsty after a day of touring the city so I was particularly frustrated. I'd finished the tiny glass in one swig and it wasn't until we were mostly done with our meals that we were able to flag someone down for more. I had the buttermilk fried chicken and disliked it. It came with two separate fried chicken patties which meant a lot of extra batter than what I'm used to. This could be fine but I found the chicken and the batter to be so flavorless as to be strange. It was not super crunchy not flavorful. And the condiments didn't add much flavor either. Maybe it was just an off night? The chicken tasted like dark meat although I'm sure that was just me and not actually thighs. The fries were fine. My friend got a mocktail and it was excellent. Very decorative interior that was fun to look at. We made a reservation and was 45 min early and still seated promptly. There is a 90 min time limit but that wasn't an issue for us. I had this spot bookmarked for my trip to New York. In fact, it was a "must visit" for me because of the seasonal decor and drink changes they make. I wanted to see their Halloween setup so bad. After I checked into my hotel, I decided to go explore and upon stepping out, much to my surprise, Lillie's was right there across from the hotel! It was meant to be! I loved this place so much that I went three nights in a row! The staff up front was kinda rude on one night, but once we were in, the service staff were all very nice on each visit. It's hard to get a table because it's such a popular spot. The decor was awesome, see my pictures! They kept Lady Gaga songs on repeat it seemed, but it worked, it matched the dark spooky vibes of Halloween. Now the drinks were kinda hit and miss. When you're paying so much money for an experience, you're expecting civility, at the minimum. $20 Humphrey Bogart and $18 S i o u x s i e S i o u x were the best drinks on the menu. Lillie's Christmas overlay is a must see in the Theatre District! Reservations can be hard to come by last minute, but the bar is first come first serve. It can be really crowded, especially when shows are letting out, but my sister and I snagged a spot at the bar on Tuesday night and didn't have to wait at all. The decor here is so pretty and is themed like a winter wonderland forest. I had the Grinch cocktail. I honestly was not sure what it would taste like, but I loved it!! It was slightly sweet but very refreshing. The addition of the club soda was perfect. I could do without the popcorn on top. It just got soggy and I took it off right away. Nevertheless, the restaurant's non-holiday "Victorian" decor is absolutely gorgeous. Everything, from the paintings, to the ceilings, to the lighting, to the silverware, is just wonderful. We visited primarily to enjoy the decor so we only ordered drinks and a creme brulee. Everything was good. Our server was very attentive. Although we didn't try anything off the dinner menu, the food we saw looked very good. It was amusing to see people eating chicken wings and mac and cheese bites in a place that is decorated like you are in Victorian England. Did Queen Victoria like her chicken wings spicy or Buffalo style? Inquiring minds want to know. They have interesting cocktails here. The Humphrey Bogart is a play on an Old Fashioned and it was delicious. They also make very nice mocktails, if that interests you. This place is consistently named as one of the best looking bars in New York City. It is easy to see why. They have established a Victorian era theme here, so the place is full of old fixtures and furniture and architecture from that time period. Being in here feels like being in the United Kingdom in the 1800s. And as the seasons change over the course of the year, they change the decor. You'll find the place completely transformed for Valentine's Day, Halloween, and Christmas for example. The place is definitely picturesque. However, the food and service left something to be desired. The food is just your standard bar food, but at higher prices. And the service here was lacking. This is a hard review to write. I was so happy to get a lunch reservation here for my birthday, after over a month of looking. My best friend and I arrived at 2pm for afternoon tea. The restaurant was extremely crowded, with tables too close together, chaotic decor, and blaring music. It felt like a bar at 11pm, even though it was a weekday afternoon. We were seated next to a very rude and raucous table who kept deliberately sitting on my purse and singing along to the music at the top of their lungs. They were already done eating when we got there, but they didn't leave until we were almost done. And they didn't even leave a tip on their $300+ bill!!! But I digress... Our afternoon tea was disappointing. The waitress was mumbly and condescending, everything took FOREVER to arrive at our table, and the staff couldn't care less about refilling our water. The food was fine. The scones were actually delicious, but everything else was mediocre at best. The water for my tea wasn't hot enough by the time it got to my table, and it barely took on any color when steeped. (When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she rolled her eyes and seemed inconvenienced to have to bring me a second tea bag.) Also, the table was WAY too small for afternoon tea. My friend and I thought well if it's too sweet, there's nothing wrong with that so we ordered it. It quite possibly is the worst thing that I ever had in my whole life. It was sour with a sparkling soda kind of taste with popcorn on top. The popcorn was vanilla flavored but once it melted squishy kind of gross. Thoroughly disappointed with the Christmas drink selection. We ordered our food we got sliders. Two of my friends got salads which became and they were decent size. The sliders were for mini sliders probably the size of one burger she said they tasted good. I ordered a Caprese sandwich which was a tomato sandwich with one cold cut slice of mozzarella, not fresh mozzarella like the menu stated it said it was on focaccia. It came in a bun. I'm not sure if that's focaccia. It was very fresh though. Since I couldn't tolerate my drink, I ordered a Diet Coke.....It came and it was warm. Really liked this place! It's all ambiance. Is obvious that people spent a long time making this place fun, beautiful, and vibey. I love how they change out their themes for the seasons! I wish we could've gone during Halloween. The food, though, was okay. The prices were high for food that was just okay. We have been to a lot of restaurants around the Time Square area and this place just wasn't on par with a lot of the other places we've tried as far as pricing and quality. I also think that the service could've been better, it's obvious that they're shoving a lot of people in to the restaurant at once and thus have a hard time keeping up with all of the people. Came here with the family for a pre-theatre lunch. We originally planned to enjoy the beautiful floral decor, but as luck would have it, they'd just switched over to Halloween that week -- in September! Theme-heavy spots near Times Square can be hit or miss, so expectations were modest. The place was pretty full (long and narrow layout), but thankfully we had a reservation and were seated right away. While the decorations were over-the-top -- the "kitsch index" was high -- the sheer volume of Halloween props covering every inch of the high ceilings actually made this die-hard New Yorker begrudgingly appreciate it. At least they commit. Most importantly, the food was actually good -- surprisingly good. My Cobb salad was huge and fresh (oddly, it listed avocado as an extra add-on, but mine came with it anyway). The burrata disappeared in seconds, the burger was juicy with crisp potatoes and greens, and the croque madame came topped with a perfectly runny, "sexy" sunny-side-up egg. Everything was delicious, and we cleared our plates in record time to make our show. Service was attentive, with staff constantly circulating and easy to flag down. Not only was the high top table we were led to a corner half booth which made sitting there as a party of 3 uncomfortable and the damn cushion was sopping wet! The restauarant wasn't full and didn't get full before our departure. My friend sat on her puffer coat and her pants still got wet form the drenched cushion. We should have said something or asked to be seated at a regular table but we were hungry and just wanted to eat before our show. The menu wasn't just underwhelming, it was disappointing. You know the offerings are limited when 3 hungry people can't decide what to order because nothing sounds good and not because everything sounds good. My friend had ordered some zucchini noodle dish and kept saying how bland it was. I can't even recall what my other friend ate and I ordered a chicken cesar salad just to get some protein and some roasted carrots which I'll admit were good. It's sad when the only good thing I can find to say about a place is that the carrots were "good". The service was terrible too. The employees were walking around like zombies, looking miserable and the bartenders were literally standing around staring at the ceiling. My daughter ordered the Lobster Ravioli and I had the Fish and Chips. Her Ravioli was delicious and my Fish and Chips had a good batter. We shared their dessert special which was a pistachio cheese cake, yum! I loved they served all their food on Victorian china. Lillies is the perfect location to the theater district if you're going to see a show. We had a delightful meal and I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. Lunch in NYC - first lunch in NYC we had such a lovely time at Lillies!! Found it on TikTok and then realized it was only 5 minutes from my hotel. The best part was food was delicious actually ! We walked in and were greeted by this sea of pick flowers on the walls and ceiling of the restaurant !! Very Victorian and Very pretty and uplifting !' Once we were there we noticed the many people who were getting high tea:) we just wanted some delicious lunch so my daughter ordered the pesto tagliatelle pasta and I ordered the chicken Cobb salad ! Both were delicious and fresh !!! Yummy indeed and I really enjoyed my salad and had leftovers for the following day . Customer service was great as well . read more

This is a great spot in Times Square if you're looking for good food, drinks, and great photos. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with pink flowers and old photographs. I came with a friend for lunch and we ordered a Tito's and a Sangria. They were both presented amazingly. We both ordered the French onion soup and had the buttermilk chicken sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. We had no complaints about the food and enjoyed everything. For dessert, we ordered the brownie, which was definitely our favorite. I recommend dining here if you're looking for an aesthetic spot great for pictures.
