It's aesthetically pleasing very beautifully set up. Definitely worthy if you love taking photos for your social media. The staff was very nice and attentive we called in advance to verify for food allergies and making sure we could get a high chair for a toddler. I guess they miss understood because the tables were wayyyy higher than the high chair causing the litter guest not want to stay in her chair. Over all the food quality is ok not something I would go seeking out again,it's a bit overpriced for the quality that you get. Again this was just my opinion based on my experience yours might be better.

I almost missed it at first, it's a bit tucked away, but finding Lillie's feels like discovering a hidden gem. The moment you step inside, you're transported to the Victorian era, with ornate details and charming décor that make the entire space feel like an experience in itself. We stopped in before a show without a reservation and, while the dining room was full, we were able to grab seats at the bar. Honestly, I think it worked out for the best--the bar felt more spacious than the table seating and had a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon. The mocktails were as creative as they were delicious, and the cocktail menu offered plenty of tempting options as well. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and impressively efficient, striking that perfect balance of great service without constantly interrupting your conversation. We shared the sliders and the summer salad, and both were generously portioned and perfect for splitting. Between the beautiful setting, excellent drinks, and seamless service, this is definitely a place I'll be returning to.

Ambiance - all the tables are right next to each other. not sure if it is design for a quick eat or best for drinking only. it is not enough of space for seating or if you order extra plate to eat. SMALL, and tight. The restaurant decoration is superb, which earn the extra star. The only thing I have a positive about. Restaurant is filled with flowers and very festive, a great place for pictures but not sure if that is possible since everyone is on top of each other. Service - Lacking and unattentive - waited a period of time for the main waitress to approach. No eye contact, so a bit hard to get their attention /service. The helper was friendlier but unable to help, attempt to move us to a bigger table next to us, but the main waitress came and told us it was reserved, so we were denied- thought it was reserved for a bigger party, but it was reserved for 2 ppl too. The waitress can exchange the table for us before the reservation ppl arrive but choose not too, customer service was definitely lacking. Especially the restuarant was not that busy (they had time standing around). Food - we ordered the afternoon tea set for each person. the setting was presentable, it taken alot of space on the table but it was just regular egg, salmon and cucumber sandwich, scones, macarons, and some other sweets with berries and grapes nothing special about it, no signature monologs or any specialty. The tea pot set was pretty but the tea bag were regular tea bag, there is no hot water refill once you finished, need to pay $10 extra for new tea pot. Starbucks coffee is cheaper!

We enjoyed this spot so much we came back the next afternoon. It was so hot the few days we were in NYC and this ended up being a perfect spot to pop in for a beautiful cocktail. I asked for a bees knee, my go to, and the bartender asked if he could make their version..they use Gun Lane 1751 Victoria Pink Gin, and it was delicious! This place also serves a type of tea service, but maybe check if you need a resy, as we just sat at the bar for out nibble and drink.

We arrived early for our 4p Friday night reservation. They are strict about 90 minutes at the table so they suggested that since the kitchen didn't open until 4, that we wait to sit until closer to 4. I thought that was strange since the place was empty - why not give us an extra 10 mins? But a policy is a policy. I went to the bathroom downstairs while we waited. It was super cute but I didn't appreciate the full length mirror on the side of the stall. Who wants to see themselves pee? We got a small glass of water and our drinks right away. But then no one came to refill the waters. This usually bothers me but I was super thirsty after a day of touring the city so I was particularly frustrated. I'd finished the tiny glass in one swig and it wasn't until we were mostly done with our meals that we were able to flag someone down for more. I had the buttermilk fried chicken and disliked it. It came with two separate fried chicken patties which meant a lot of extra batter than what I'm used to. This could be fine but I found the chicken and the batter to be so flavorless as to be strange. It was not super crunchy not flavorful. And the condiments didn't add much flavor either. Maybe it was just an off night? The chicken tasted like dark meat although I'm sure that was just me and not actually thighs. The fries were fine. My friend got a mocktail and it was excellent. So maybe go for the drinks and ambience not the food? The ambience was every bit as pretty as in the photos. In a positive end note, the host who handled our bill was funny and wonderful.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I saw in the city! Served was incredibly nice, sad I don't remember their name. Caesar salad was delicious and the fries were bomb. The branzino was clearly the highlight! Definitely would come back for that. French onion soup was very flavorful. The drinks were delicious, strong, and I definitely could've had more but we were in a rush because we were seeing a show next door!

Really pretty experience! We came here for dinner for a birthday and it was a fun spot near Times Square but still out of the way enough to avoid the crowds. Very decorative interior that was fun to look at. We made a reservation and was 45 min early and still seated promptly. There is a 90 min time limit but that wasn't an issue for us. Our server was nice and very attentive. The food was great! City prices but that's to be expected. The sliders were great and the pot pie was yummy as well. The mashed potatoes with the fish was well done and the pasta had a great truffle flavor. We didn't get any cocktails but that would be fun to try if we came back.

I was seeing wicked on a Wednesday night and needed to kill time and have a drink. It was my first time to this location and it was so convenient with the broadway locations. The bar is walk in, first come first serve. Hostess was super helpful letting us know people were closing out soon, we started off as a pair of 2 with just one chair and the party next to us quickly left. I ordered the way down Hadestown since it was spicy smoky and watermelon, three of my favorite things. I was pleasantly surprised with its presentation, the dehydrated lemon was on fire and the smoky fruit smelled so good. Loved my drink and it was perfect buzz before the show

This our 2nd time to this location. Still as pretty and is always a wow when you go in. Sangria and pina colada were good. We split the salmon, onion soup and also the broccoli. All the food are all so good. Unfortunately we didn't have a good waiter, he was kinda rude and rushing us to order. He did check on us once. Beautiful place for sure.

Located near Theater District NYC. The perfect pre-broadway show dinner and drinks or if you're in Times Square. Defiantly make a reservation for this one but you might get lucky to just walk in. Super stunning atmosphere and took amazing photos inside. Drinks where fabulous and a great wine selection. I would recommend their lobster ravioli and we shared their tuna tartar. Good idea to get to this place early as service was a bit slower. We waited 25 minuets for our second round of drinks and ultimately had to cancel them as we had our show to attend.

I had this spot bookmarked for my trip to New York. In fact, it was a "must visit" for me because of the seasonal decor and drink changes they make. I wanted to see their Halloween setup so bad. After I checked into my hotel, I decided to go explore and upon stepping out, much to my surprise, Lillie's was right there across from the hotel! It was meant to be! I loved this place so much that I went three nights in a row! The staff up front was kinda rude on one night, but once we were in, the service staff were all very nice on each visit. It's hard to get a table because it's such a popular spot. The decor was awesome, see my pictures! They kept Lady Gaga songs on repeat it seemed, but it worked, it matched the dark spooky vibes of Halloween. Now the drinks were kinda hit and miss. Some were absolutely delicious, while others were so bad that none of us could stomach them. They were all beautiful though. The presentation was great. The food was pretty good. I can't say we had anything bad at all. Over all I give it 5/5! I loved this spot and can't wait to go back!

What this places does well - the ambiance! Their seasonal decorations are a feast for the eyes. Makes it a fun and special spot for a pre-show meal. We do brunch on a Saturday for a matinee. What this places does surprisingly well - the food. Judging by the photos and the reviews, my bar was low for the food here. We really came for the experience. But the plates were much fuller than they appear. The burrata was yummy. My daughter gave the French toast two thumbs up, and I really enjoyed my croque madame. What they could work on - service. As noted in other reviews, the service left something to be desired. Not very attentive.

Come here for the picturesque vibe & picture ops and for tasty (albeit expensive) drinks. Skip the food. The place is decorated with seasonal over the top items year round. Hence why they charge the prices that they do. You're here to enjoy the atmosphere for a limited 90 minutes, after which you'll be asked to leave. Make reservations. This spot is in theater row, so it's always packed. We came at 4:30 on a Wednesday without reservations. Perfect time--no one was there until 5pm. After 90 minutes we were informed that they had a reservation for the table and that we've reached the 90 minute time limit. This was delivered in a very dismissive way, as if we didn't just spend over $300 on a dinner & drinks for two. Not the best feeling. Definitely won't be returning for a rushed dinner again. Overall, all staff were harried and dismissive. We felt rushed all the time we were there. Staff looked like they needed a month long vacation. Very uncomfortable vibes. When you're paying so much money for an experience, you're expecting civility, at the minimum. $20 Humphrey Bogart and $18 S i o u x s i e S i o u x were the best drinks on the menu. Humphrey was basically a bougie & fancied up old fashioned. Strong and balanced. Definitely get this if you want to feel a bit relaxed. Sioux was very fancy and girly--sweet and fizzy and buoyant. Sassy Summer in a glass. Didn't taste the alcohol at all but I got giggly. Delicious treat. I feel like there's no bad drink on the menu--everything we saw all around us looked amazing and probably tasted great (testament to so many empty glasses). Superb drink presentation. Taste profiles are balanced, elegant, and elevated. Definitely a place to savor the drinks vs just drinking for the sake of it. Food menu is limited and underwhelming. Burrata was standard. Nothing to write home about. Steak frites was the tiniest portion of slim flat iron steak and sad fries. For $38 this was laughably small and unsatisfying. Won't be returning for food, that's for sure.

Dressed in Victorian garb. This tourist thought we were part of the restaurant and wanted a picture.

Tried calling to make a reservation (multiple times) and there was no answer. Is Lily's still in business?

Yes, they’re open try making reservations online

Do I need reservation. I am planning to visit with my family today?

It is better if you reserve. Call first as it is a Sunday. If there is room they will take you

It seems only high top tables are available when making a reservation. Are those only in the bar vs main dining room? Is the ambiance different? Thanks in advance!

You will enjoy the ambience wherever you sit. There are high top tables, regular dining tables, barstools at the bar and booths. Where ever you sit, it will be magical.

    Walk-ins available today?

I'm sure they are unless they are booked.

Does the one in Time Square look the same as the one in Union Square?

It has the same esthetic, but definitely bigger and more flowers on the ceiling

Is there a kids menu for brunch or dinner?

There isn’t a kids menu but there are kid friendly options.

Is the Hell's Kitchen location decorated for Halloween?

    Yes- skeleton invasion!

Is this location decorated for Halloween?

    Yes

How can I make a reservation?

I used the Open table app.

Do you need reservations for the brunch?

We always recommend making a reservation during the brunch pre-theater rush, however seating is available for walk-ins at the tables and bar and are honored on a first come, first serve basis.

Is Lillie's in Times Square open on Christmas Day?

What are their happy hour specials?

    They have none

What is high tea? What are the hours?

You can see all the details here: https://www.lilliesnyc.com/high-tea/

Is there typically a long wait on Friday evenings?

If you can get a reservation, I would. They are always busy when I have been there.

Are you required to make a reservation or do they accept walk-ins?

they take walk ins but it's always super crowded and busy with wait times

Can a person under 21 and over 18 come here?

Yeah, it's a regular restaurant. They'd ID you if you ordered alcohol.

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I was lead to this great spot for a late dinner and cocktails on a Friday night. The hostess was really friendly and quicky sat us at a two seater near the bar, which we appreciated. The ambiance was light and friendly and they even had a DJ playing all the good jams! I think I danced a bit, (definitely liquid courage). The DJ read the room and created a fun ambiance. The waitress came over a few minutes later and quickly took our drink and meal order. There are some TVs throughout, and everything inside seemed fairly new and well maintained. It was not very crowded on a Tuesday early evening, so service was quick and the staff was very friendly. We did not order food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot for happy hour drinks in the MoMA/Midtown West area.
