I don't like car-shopping as a general rule, and I felt especially put-out in this instance. I hadn't been in the market for a car and considered this to be a huge burdensome chore. I had been to several dealerships in Lexington and the Toyota dealership in Frankfort. We were going to purchase from the Frankfort dealership (where we bought our last one), until they offered us a whopping 13.5% interest rate (and it wasn't even the color I wanted). After searching Toyota dealership inventories online, I happened across Dry Ridge Toyota. I decided to stop by there since they had the color car I wanted. This dealership is 40 miles away from my home, and there were 4 other dealerships closer, but this one turned out to be worth the drive. I told the salesman about my experience in Frankfort and he said he was certain they could beat that rate. I felt they actually wanted to earn our business. And I truly feel that they worked to do so. They got the car I wanted, and better yet, they found an interest rate of 3.5%! They managed to make a bad experience a positive one.
