We had breakfast here on 12/22/22, and the service and food was top notch. My bacon was cooked perfectly: not too crisp, not too undone (You know what I mean). The eggs, fried medium, were also perfect: whites done, yoke still runny, the way I like them. The potatoes were amazing enough to drive from Redding more often (54 miles). They didn't seem fried, boiled, or broiled. They were just perfectly done on all sides. I'd love to find out how they do that. I'm guessing they have a convection oven, but I may be wrong. After checking out from our weekend camping and wanting to make the most of our Father's Day gathering with our Dad and before heading back to the Bay Area we decided on breakfast at this quant restaurant. Got here early on a Sunday, they graciously seated our family of 9. Hubby and brother in law inquired first if they can accommodate the large group, knowing it's Father's Day may cause a longer wait than usual. We did wait a little longer for our food but well worth it. Their potato hash was perfect, soft inside and crunchy outer layer. Dad was very impressed that he finished everything on his plate, he ordered the Beef Short Rib Benedict with hash. Mary our server was polite on point and made sure to come back ever so often to check on us as we were seated indoor in a large separate room. The kids also finished their food and asked for extra from our plates .. my granddaughter shared a large waffle plate with my niece. They graciously split the plate and made it look special for them, thank you! My nephew had his own big boy burger. My hubby and sis had the BLT sandwiches on sourdough, hubby said it was yummy. I normally get 2 eggs specials and this place had one of the best cheesy grits, texture was different but oh soo good that I gobbled mines down. We're out of towners and often when we venture to do sit down,"s, I have put on my yelp investigator hat on and wish for the best. This place has hit the taste marks and homely cute factor plus hospitality. Price is reasonable and wait as well. I will definitely come back when I camp out to thisarea again. Wednesday night after shopping at Soul Connections in Mount Shasta I was hungry for what the locals love. The warm lighting and garden setting drew me inside, but unfortunately for me, I wasn't the only moth to their flame and needed reservations for this farmhouse style restaurant that feels like home. Already there, I grabbed a dessert to go and made reservations for Thursday. It was a watch the rain, and rest, and write day, and by 5 pm, I was looking forward to the tastes of this town that brings me so much soul. I've missed this, the chance to sit inside, and feel like you're outside in the country. Guiding me through my dishes was Mo, and he approved of my perfectly crispy brussels sprouts order. I never get the chicken, but Mo said it would not fail. He was right, the lemony smoky flavor with a touch of sweet, and sustanible ingredients tasted like local love in Lily's garden kitchen. And for the dessert, a slice of lemon cake. A sweet tart treat kept me composed through rough drafts and rewrites during the day. Farm fresh and chef inspired, with local vibes. First of all, i was excited they had a full bar but passed on a Cosmo when the only vodka they had had was Svedka. We ordered the zucchini beignets for an appetizer which were tasty but lacked a true vegetable presence. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto and it was just okay. Lacked flavor and searing of scallops. I love vegetables so ordered the chicken fettuccine with snap peas, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. The only vegetable was spinach and it was soaked in heavy cream with lacked flavor. We had a very memorable meal at Lily's over Memorial Day weekend! Chef John prepared a feast for 43 people! It was perfect on all levels! The food was fresh, delicious, well plated and well served. We had appetizers outside on the patio with wine. It was a lovely meet and greet area.The charcuterie and sushi trays were tasty and unique. Our guests were blown away! Dinner was a variety of dishes from the main menu and the dessert was something Chef John had wanted to try, a Mango cake! Oh it was so good. If you are ever passing through Mt. Shasta on I-5...STOP and eat at Lily's. It was that good. My sister and I shared an appetizer of warmed burrata cheese with garlic bread. It was delicious and the charred grilled broccoli rabe topping added a wonderful flavor and crunch. We shared a beet salad. I was afraid it would be too sweet but it wasn't. The beets were cubed and mixed with the salad greens. The dressing was light tasting and complemented the ingrediants. I had the wagyu hamburger and my sister had the cabernet short rib pasta. Both were delicious. The hamburger was perfectly grilled and tasty. The pasta had the perfect ratio of ingredients. Wednesday night was busy with regulars because it was sushi special night and there were bento boxes available. I was hesitant to order asian in a small town but I should have because everything was so delicious. We were on a road trip from the Bay Area to Portland and looking for places to eat dinner after kayaking at Lake Siskiyou and stumbled upon this place. When we were researching this place on Yelp we were super intrigued by all the different foods that they had here, but when we went in the menu was a lot smaller than what we saw online. Not sure if they adjusted their menu due to the pandemic or we just came at the wrong time but nonetheless, we enjoyed our little dinner here! When we came there was no wait and the server seated us right away. We ordered the American Style Burger and Lily's Chicken Pasta. I ordered the burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The burger was a pretty generous size and came with a nice side of fries. It was cooked perfectly and loved that it came with grilled onions. The chicken pasta was also delicious. Noodles were cooked at a nice al dente and the dish was not too saucy. It was bit pricey but it was super filling so it was worth it! read more

Was meeting an old friend today and she choose Lilly's based on their gluten free and vegetarian options. I hadn't been here in several years so I was open to checking it out again. It was exactly one hour before we got our food. The waiter explained there were two large tables that came in before us and was the reason for the wait. My hope in the future is that they simply state how long it will be before they seat anyone. Had we known it was going to take an hour we would have gone elsewhere. My friend requested no cheese and the veggie burger came with it. By the time I got my little chicken and bean sprout salad it was warm and not too tasty. They did take around $7.00 off for the wait. I hope in the future they can be more honest with customers. It's ok to say it will be a long wait and let them choose whether they want to stay. The truffle oil on them is bland and I don't think it was even real truffle oil. I could not taste it at all. My mother tried the truffle aioli and it tastes just like mayo, no truffle flavor. The only truffle flavor was found in the salt (save your money and just order a side of the salt). The hummus came with a few pieces of Pita bread and some cauliflower that was so oily and flavorless we didn't finish it. I ordered the catch of the day (Hawaiian Ono) and my boyfriend ordered the Pacific Rim pad thai. My boyfriend's "pad thai" was soupy and way too sweet. It was like they dumped on a cup of duck sauce from a bad Chinese restaurant. My fish was overcooked and dry. Immediately after leaving the restaurant, my whole body broke out into rashes and I had a pounding headache. I had to rush to buy an antihistamine. However, I'm not allergic to anything! WTF? Was the fish spoiled or something? It looks like I had histamine toxicity (a form of food poisoning) that comes from spoiled fish. The service was fine - our waitress was very nice. Only came here for breakfast a couple times earlier this summer, but the food was great and service was good. The decor inside is super cute, as well. Very modern, that hipster earth-girl vibe - chalkboard specials menu, succulents in planters on the walls. The first time we came with our dog and asked to be seated outside. We were too big of a party (big family) for one table, so they graciously seated us at two. The second time we sat inside and it was equally as pleasant. I tried the Banana Fosters French Toast and the Arnold Benedict and both were pretty good. The french toast was by far my favorite, and I don't even generally like french toast. It had beautifully thick, fluffy toast and bananas that were caramelized just right. The sauteed potatoes that came with the benedict were the same deal, since I don't really like potatoes either. Both dishes gave me enough food to have lots of leftovers. When I visited earlier, around June, most of the employees were wearing masks correctly (over nose and mouth), and they were socially distancing tables and using single-use paper menus. I did have some trouble communicating once with one of the hostesses, but that can be chalked up to an off-day for both of us. They weren't enforcing masks while waiting, but at the time, not many in the town were. I don't know if they are, yet. I'd probably come back if I ever visited Mt. Shasta again. read more

This was a very lovey place! First time visiting Mt. Shasta and it was such a lovely town. On our way back home we decided to stop at Lily's for breakfast and am glad we did! My husband and son had the Bananas Fosters French toast and both said it was delicious. As you can see from our photo, my son also decided to try many more things off the menu and there were no complaints! Our waitress was great as well. Would definitely eat here again. Its taken me a few weeks to want to write this review. Lily's has been a staple restaurant in town since I was little. I remember going to brunch here many times with my grandparents as a small child. But I feel I have to go there... My fiance and I ordered a meal for pick up. We called it in, was told about 15-20 mins. I live about that from there so I got there about 25 minutes after the phone call. We ordered: PACIFIC RIM PAD THAI. Seared scallops, dynamite prawns, red chard, bean sprouts, baby bok choy, rice noodles, salted peanuts with Thai chili tamarind sauce & lime. 21 CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS & GARLIC AIOLI. Flash fried Brussel sprouts with a garlic aioli dipping sauce. 11 CABERNET BRAISED BEEF. Off the bone cabernet braised beef short rib with natural au jus, garlic mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. 27 When I got there I was told I ended up getting put between a huge party of 12 and that it would be a couple more minutes, no big deal, I pay; tip $10 even though its a pick up and sit down. I sit, I sit, I sit. 20 Minutes go buy (now totaling 45 min) and I hear the waitress go ask the kitchen where her to go order was. IT WASN'T EVEN STARTED! So here I am $80 meal and almost an hour wait. People being seated after I had been sitting and getting their food... I'm not going to let it get to me, they were steadily busy. During this time I'm not offered ANYTHING, no water, no discount, no nothing. I just keep getting told "a few more minutes". I hear her go back again, my brussel sprouts were done and boxed and shes asking for the rest of my food. The cook replies he hadn't started it yet because he thought we were a table and he had time while we ate those. another 40 mins go buy (about and hour and a half total) . I get my food. I'm still hopeful. I get home, the brussel sprouts are cold and old (no surprise) and they were the best thing we got. Hands down the worst pad thai I've ever had. The sauce was so sweet, the seafood was over cooked and the noodles were cheap thick noodles. My husband said his food was good, but the portions were so small! for $27 I would of loved to have more than 1 short rib, even two would of been nice. We wont be back, not even to-go. I don't expect their in person service to be much better. The carpet throughout the whole place is NASTY and in my wait I saw three plates returned to the kitchen.
