This is another favorite of mine. Lily's original owner, who had to return after a sale went sideways, changed his menu to a healthy, and interesting one. He started Sushi Night- a Wednesday night crowd pleaser, which has been continued by the new owner, who was the chef for years before he bought it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner offered and every meal offers a panoply of delightful options. A creature of habit, I break my pattern when I eat here, because there are many menu items I love. What I do not love: wine selection leaves much to be desired. Bring your own bottle. I do. I will say the wait staff, particularly Mindy, coddles me. Lily's has always done this with its regulars. They know what we like and they go out of their way to have it ready for us. In this case, food and experience bring it to a favorite for many. Comfortable as well. Found this place on our way back to the hotel from McCloud falls. Looked them up at Yelp without reading the reviews but just looked at the pictures . Given that they have a 4star I told myself, it must be good. When we got to the restaurant there were a lot of tables open. I went to the hostess and asked for a table for 5. She asked if I had a reservation which we didn't. She said, " Well I'm sorry but the next table we have for 5 is not till 830pm (it's 7pm at that time) . I asked if we can at least sit outside since we are actually just visiting from another town and the hostess sarcastically replied,"oh yea, that's what they all say." This particular hostess made me feel uneasy and just to see if I can validate how it made me feel (I'm Filipino) I asked my husband to go in and check to see what they'll say (he's Caucasian). And viola ! My husband came back less than a minute after and all of a sudden there's a table for us ! Wow ! I wanted to tell them off right there but my husband said to just let it go. I listened to him but mainly bc my 2 young kids are with us and everybody needed to eat . The same hostess came to our table and gave us the menu and was surprised to see me ! Ha! You just got caught discriminating women ! We sat and ate (btw, the only thing good here was the bread and butter and our waiter). Thankfully, we live hundreds of miles away from here. I will never ever come back here. Oh ! And those tables that were empty at 7pm ? They stayed empty till 8:10pm ! I approached this waitress (long blonde hair on a pony tail with glasses on and a short curly haired lady ) about what they did earlier and how it made me feel in a calm manner and their answer was," well, ppl cancelled ." Really? Within that 1min all those reservations were cancelled that's why you were able to give my Caucasian husband a table but not my Filipino self !? Horrible ! read more

Amazing food! Awesome Hawaiian fusion dishes. We were extremely pleased to find so many delicious options on the menu. The chef here is doing it right! Service was fantastic from start to finish, including getting to meet the chef at our table after our meal. We travel I5 between Portland, OR and L.A. often, and this is our new stop along the way. I heard about this place so with two days in Mt. Shasta I had to try it. I had Mongolian grilled chicken salad. it was so good that I came back the next day for breakfast. They have all your standard breakfast foods but try some of the more inventive dishes such as Moco Loco; steamed rice with hamburger steak, grilled onions, brown gravy and a fried egg on top! We were very disappointed. I fact if the service hadn't been so good we would not of eaten or paid for the fiod. The beef patty portrayed as kobe beef was a dry frozen tasteless patty and the Cuban sandwich was also dry and the roast beef on it dry and flavorless. It was a very expensive bad meal read more

The food here is incredible! My partner and I had the trout and pork chop. Both cooked perfectly!! The server had a lot of knowledge as to what was being served and how it was prepared and gave great suggestions on what to order. The food is totally 5 stars...however, the place could use a little spruce up...like, ambient lighting (instead of super bright ceiling fan lights) and maybe a few fresh flowers to make it feel like a 5 star meal? At any rate, the food is what matters and they nailed it. After taking my 85 year old parents to Mt Shasta and Bunny Flats to see the snow, I promised them lunch at Lilly's. Apparently they close for a few hours after lunch, but they saw us coming up the handicapped lift in the back, they said they'd stay open for us. I am not a person who leaves bad reviews lightly. But I literally can not even believe how bad the service is here. The first time me and my partner ate here (which by the way; I am a server and he is a chef at another restaurant in town, we really know this industry) we got half ass service, food was alright. We didn't try it again for a while because of how unimpressed we were. Then a couple months ago we decided to give it another shot. We were in AWE with how horrible the service was this time. We were sat and not greeted for 20 minutes. Finally when the server came over, she ran over winded (there were 3 other seated tables in the whole place) "Okay what can I get for you?!" No 'hello' no 'how may I help you' no information about specials, not even a smile. I asked about the special, which was a kind of fish and what it was like and she just replied "I don't know". We had been sitting there so long we already pretty much knew what we wanted so we went ahead and ordered. Didn't see her again until our food came out 20 minutes later. The bus boy filled our waters the whole time. Then when it came time for desert the server brought out a plastic wrapped tray of prepackaged desserts. Needless to say we passed. Tonight we decided to give it one more chance. This time, take out. It is sushi night, and as there is no information about the sushi menu online what so ever, I called in to hear about it. Someone answers the phone and I ask a couple questions "hold on let me go grab the menu really quick" she replies. I ended up being on hold for over 10 minutes. I figured she may have forgot or something so I hung up and called again. No big deal! I have been guilty of this myself before! Everyone makes mistakes and it is very easy to forget about a phone call when you have a bunch of tables. Second time I call the same person answers and immediately asks me to hold, I say sure. 15 minutes later I hang up and try to call again. This time a different person answers and I tell him what happened and why I was calling. "Uh okay do you want to hear about the menu?" He tells me what kind of fish they have to offer, so I start placing my to go order. I ask for an order salmon nigiri (which he told me to begin with that they have) and he asks me to hold. "Yeah... we have a seared salmon filet.... hold on" I hear him asking another server if they have raw salmon and she says she has no idea. I canceled my order. PLEASE TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES THE MENU. This place has a real McDonald's service type of feel to it. I would be fine with this level of service at another place, but somewhere with such expensive mediocre food should at least have service on lock down. I will not be eating from here again. read more

As soon as I walked in, server Jennifer greeted me with a big smile. The coffee was wonderful and the bloody mary perfect. The server was knowledgable, explaining the root of the term "gravalax" with enthusiasm, and I never had want of her attention, though the place was very busy. My benedict was delicious, as recommended--the salmon tender and the eggs done just right. I'll make sure to ask for Jen again, next time I go. Two gems: great food and a pretty smile! read more

Meh food and $10 for a kids meal. $3 split plate charge for two kids to share, totaling $13 for bland mac and cheese that they wouldn't eat. I challenge the owner to try the mac and cheese and tell me it's worth $13, or that they would feed it to their own children. read more

My husband and I were here for a Valentine's Day dinner recently. We were seated quickly even though we had no reservations and couples were streaming in... Guess it helps that we were there at ~6.30 pm before most of the dinner crowd. We shared a beet salad (yumm!) and I had the herb stuffed trout which was so good my hubby wanted to come back again the next day for it. My hubby had the steak with chimichurri sauce which was also good but the trout was the star! For dessert we had an extremely moist and light lemon cake with blueberries, the recommendation of our waitress. Delish! We ate every crumb.:-) read more

Excellent all around. I had the Chicken Salad sandwich and it was the best I've ever had. My sister had pasta with artichokes, dried tomatoes and black olives and she loved it. Lots of olive oil! We went here for dinner on Christmas Day, and it was a good choice. We were seated quickly, and had drinks served and orders taken shortly thereafter. The waiter informed us up front that dinners were cooked to order, so it could take 20 minutes. We ordered the bruschetta, the apple/fennel salad, the filet mignon, and the chicken pasta. The appetizer and salad appeared within 15 minutes, and the dinner within 30 minutes. The food was very well prepared and delicious. I was surprised at the quality of the food and flavors in such a small town; it was comparable to upscale restaurants in the SF bay area. read more

The food is way overpriced for what it is, completely ordinary diner food. The server informed us there was a $3 share charge when she served us (not when we ordered), we had kids and didn't think they could eat full orders and didn't want to waste the food- I've never been charged for letting my kid eat some of my food. The charge was not on the menu anywhere. Even though we arrived at 1pm, we were told we could not order from lunch menu, only brunch menu. Waitress forgot two of our orders, so one person was served 15 minutes after ever one else- she charged us half price for his order (why not comp it?). Roasted potatoes took up half the plate and were nothing special. The waitress and the cook were both overly needy too, kept coming out to tell us how hard they were working, I guess hoping for a good tip- I found it unpleasant. Choose another spot if you are in town. The little coffee shop/Mexican place next door is MUCH better, reasonably priced and super busy. read more
