The views are pretty from the third floor but it can also get muggy, depending on the temperature. Patio dining is possible. Make sure you visit the PH level before you leave. A couple of us chose the prefix lunch menu, so for mine, I started with calamari, which was enough for the whole table! For my main, I got the salmon. We weren't celebrating anything, but she even gave us some special treats during our time there. Now on to the food. Went for Mother's Day. Had an overall pretty bad experience. We had a 6:00 reservation for six which we showed up to at 5:57. We were not seated until 6:25. We placed our orders and were warned that the Black Seabass for two would take about 25 minutes to prepare. We accepted this, and added the fried calamari as an appetizer to tide us over. By 7:45, none of our food had arrived, including the calamari starter. The server was working hard and we didn't want to complain, but we had to ask. She did not stop to talk to us, she only said "Yes, the kitchen is backed up as we're busy" and kept moving to go to another table. Another very helpful woman -- she was wearing a blue tie (which I believe signals that she works on drinks?) -- came over to chat with us to see how things were going. We said that we're two hours past our reservation time and had eaten nothing but bread thus far. She apologized and offered us a round of drinks, which we were very appreciative of as it was not expected. Our food finally came a little after 8pm. I included a picture of the black seabass for two, which really did not look appealing when served. The big eye tuna was INEDIBLE as it was completely oversalted thanks to it sitting in a pool of soy sauce. The fried calamari was the last to come -- so much for it being an appetizer. To our server's credit, as dishes started coming, I told her to cancel the fried calamari as the intent was to tide us over while we wanted for the sea bass. She said she would bring the dish anyway, and comp it, which she didn't need to do. Overall, the food was middle-tier at best and definitely not worth the price. One person at our table said the salmon tartar was also heavily oversalted -- she didn't end up finishing that dish either, after chugging glasses after glasses of water. The stuffed calamari had too much cheese, although that's a matter of personal preference. The halibut got good reviews from our group. Credit to some of the servers for trying to make up for the two-hour wait for food, but I would not come back here for dinner. I hear great things about the bottomless brunch, but I'd be hard pressed to come back. They add a 20% gratuity on all checks, 4% of which goes to the restaurant to cover increased costs (this is a pet peeve of mine), and 16% goes to the front of house staff (credit the restaurant for disclosing that not all 20% goes to staff). I rarely make it to brunch and a AYCE is an even more rare occurrence. Originally, I was going to take my friend to the Four Seasons' brunch buffet since she had never been only to learn they only do that on Sundays. So I looked around for another option and was so happy I remembered that Limani offered a brunch that from what I've seen online looked pretty impressive. They have a two hour max and the last seating for brunch on Saturday is 2:30pm. Since we had plans that followed, I booked a 1:30pm reservation and came ready to eat. I was pleased to see when I arrived that the restaurant was full, but not overcrowded. We were seated upstairs in an area that had beautiful views of the water as well as an indoor-outdoor hybrid - there was a roof over us but open air. The buffet is downstairs, but if you're strategic, it's not issue - plus they have an elevator for accessibility and ease. I was impressed with how clean and well run the buffet was. There was a carving station, a raw bar, lobster mac and cheese as well as more traditional breakfast foods such as scrambled eggs and fresh cinnamon rolls ...quite a range that could be impressive to just about anyone. They also have a bottomless mimosa/sparkling wine add on for an additional $30 which we took advantage of as well. On a beautiful late summer day, it was absolutely perfect. My friends and I went to Limani to celebrate a birthday and had a really good time. The space is beautiful and open with floor-to-ceiling windows that do a great job of brightening up the restaurant. They have multiple floors so there's plenty of room for both large and small groups plus they have aa bar area if you just want to hang out there. Our service was okay. Not the greatest but not terrible either. It seemed like they might have been short staffed that day since the bartender was also covering tables so things moved a little slower than we would've liked. Still he was doing his best and we appreciated the effort. Now for the food - it was pretty good! Brunch here is buffet-style with the option of unlimited mimosas and you can find multiple food stations on both the first and second floors with tons of options. Definitely come with an empty stomach. The food overall was enjoyable and the drinks were really good too. Limani is beautiful and I'm so glad I was able to dine here. The first floor bar/lounge is lovely. I had a pineapple martini there and it was delicious. I cannot wait to return for that. We made our way upstairs for dinner (in an elevator, thankfully) and had a wonderful meal at a table overlooking the water. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the saganaki (sadly, not flambeed tableside) and halibut. Both were delicious and the wines I ordered were great, especially the Greek white. Service was good, though I was surprised that I was incorrectly informed of the vegetables that accompanied my entree. As good as it was, it is overpriced for the quality of the food. That is true of most DC restaurants, so no surprise. I did not finish my appetizer, so I had it wrapped. I was brought the bag immediately after, which I am not used to at a fine dining restaurant. Typically, you'd collect your leftovers after the meal. So I had to have it on the floor while I dined. I asked if the staff could hold it, but they just walked away. Also, the dessert menu looked like it had been printed in 1995. So Limani has some operational issues to navigate. The wharf had this kinetic energy thanks to the good weather, the holiday, and Cowboy Carter coming to town. This Mediterranean restaurant is gorgeous & they rolled out the red carpet for us. We enjoyed lots of natural lighting and views of the boat filled Potomac from our corner table. And I generally don't expect the food quality to be good at buffets but I really enjoyed it. Decent food, fresh, regular refills, great variety. My biggest complaint was that there was all this nice and bright seating along the water, and no one was there when we arrived, but they seated us all the way in the back corner with barely the view of the wharf inland side. It was also the furthest possible table from all the buffet setup. That was a bummer, but we also didn't ask for another range. And perhaps we were placed there because it was literally the last table and we got it, since we reserved the day before! At that price point, I expect a buffet to be consistently maintained and regularly replenished throughout service not half-empty trays and items sitting out too long without being refreshed. Limani sits in a genuinely stunning location right on the water at the Wharf, and the restaurant's design is just as attractive. Walking in primed us to love it, which made the letdown sting even more. The brunch is $95 per person before you factor in $18 cocktails or $35 bottomless mimosas, a 16% service charge, an additional 4% levy, and gratuity on top. For two people, expect to drop roughly $300 without blinking. We were fully prepared to pay it for an exceptional meal. Exceptional it was not. The seafood tower,the social-media centerpiece of Limani's branding sat completely still. The lobster tails were overcooked, the shrimp aggressively over-salted, and the oysters looked and tasted like an afterthought. The rest of the buffet was basic brunch fare executed at a middling level: nothing embarrassing, nothing memorable. The dessert station, though, was genuinely bad. The one saving grace of the entire spread was the hand-carved steak with the house sauces, a bright spot that only highlighted how far everything else fell short. The dining room had the energy of a rooftop club more than a fine-dining experience: loud conversations, yelling across tables, guests gathering downstairs with drinks flowing at full nightlife volume. From the main entrance, to the lounge area, and the dining room, the layout and furniture are exquisite. What I like about this restaurant is you can have a good night at Limani without experiencing their dinner service. Their lounge is a very comfortable, inviting setting. I hung out at the bar for a bit until they sat my party for dinner. The customer service was just OK and I wish it matched the other aspects of the dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant lobby, I was greeted by an unbothered hostess. My reservation was for 5pm, however, the young woman had a very unprofessional and apathetic way of telling me I wouldn't be seated for dinner until 5:15. No explanation or attempt to reason with a customer who simply wanted to know why he wasn't being seated at his reservation time. Just a cold "you'll be seated at 5:15." Keep in mind my reservation time was the first time slot for dinner service. I arrived at the conclusion that they were just running behind in the kitchen. The food and drinks were delicious. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best Mediterranean or Greek food I've ever had, however, it is certainly a great option for this cuisine in DC. The food was very fresh. The portions were commendable. There is a 20% service charge added to all bills which includes 4% for increased wages and 16% for front of the house (FOH) staff. Well, I understand why most of the reviews talk about how beautiful the restaurant is but don't really mention the food. Limani IS gorgeous but the food is definitely not worth the price tag. My friend and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was fairly empty. We were seated in a lovely booth and were greeted by our server. We then reviewed the menu and were chatting and then someone else arrived apologizing for the wait and asking to take our order. Later when we were clearly still eating the first course multiple people came by to try and take our plates. But then during the entrees, we had finished eating and didn't see anyone for quite awhile and had to flag them down to get the check. The service was definitely uneven. We each ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which was served in the largest wine glasses I have ever seen. For our meal we chose the following: Big Eye Tuna Tartare Greek Mezze Lamb Chops Shrimp The best dishes were the tuna tartare and the lamb chops. The tartare was fresh and flavorful. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly (medium as recommended by the chef) but they were served with the saddest looking side vegetables and greek fries. I wish they had been served with the lemon potatoes, one of the side dishes. The Greek Mezze was.....fine. It was served with small pieces of pita and the dips weren't bad but they were all soooooo thick. The best combination was the red pepper dip topped with some Tzatziki. The fish roe dip was just too thick for me and was turning me off and I usually love Taramasalata. And the almond dip (I think?) was also incredible thick and the texture and flavor was just not it. The shrimp were also just fine, in a tomato sauce. My biggest summary is that the food is fine. But again, it's a pricey restaurant and I really don't think the quality or flavor of the food is worthy of its high price tag. read more

My first time at Lemoni, I can say it was great. The restaurant is beautiful inside with great water of views. We decided to make this our Valentine's Day spot. The service was very fast. The meals came out fast. I was just maybe underwhelmed with the pricing that the advertise for this whole experience like maybe there could've been a little bit more food on the plates, but it did equate for the amount of service we received the cleanliness of the restaurant the very helpful staff so we did have a great time. The hubby and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at Limani this year. While the evening was lovely overall, the dining experience fell short--especially considering the price. First Impressions: Upon arriving, we were greeted by beautiful views of the waterfront and a well-decorated space with plenty of seating. The Wait & Service: As expected for a day like Valentine's Day, we encountered a wait and a crowd. However, we didn't anticipate a 45-minute wait and an entire dining experience that lasted a total of three hours! This meant that on top of the $400 bill (which included two cocktails, the fixed menu, taxes, and tips), we also had to pay an extra $37 for parking. Again, this would have totally been fine if the food at least met our expectations. I do appreciate the restaurant taking into account my gluten allergy accommodations, but my husband, who is not celiac, was not able to try items that are normally put on the side. The Fixed Menu: We opted for the set Valentine's Day menu at $165 per person, which included the following: * Course 1: Greek Meze (to share) * Course 2: Salad (to share) * Course 3: Octopus (to share) * Course 4: Main Course: Lamb Chops & Branzino (each) * Course 5: Dessert: Sherbet (to share) Course 1 & 2: The Greek meze and the salad were both disappointing. The hummus tasted store-bought, like something from Trader Joe's, while the Caesar salad didn't stand out in any way, other than the fact that we were given mozzarella cheese instead of Parmesan. Course 3: The octopus was well-seasoned but unfortunately overcooked for our taste. We were hungry, and it tasted fine, but it wasn't our favorite. Course 4: The lamb chops were the highlight of the evening--deliciously cooked and worthy of compliments to the chef. Unfortunately, the Branzino was less impressive. It was drenched in capers, and the fish lacked seasoning, leaving me disappointed. Course 5: For dessert, we were served three balls of sherbet. Two were excessively sweet and tasted old, while only the lemon-flavored one stood out as enjoyable. I wish they would have had something more appealing given the special day. Final Thoughts: On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent, and I would certainly consider returning for happy hour. However, the overall experience didn't match the high prices, and I've had better meals for much less. While the atmosphere was beautiful and the service fine, the food simply didn't deliver. read more

We definitely had a 5 star experience at Limani. Spectacular views, stellar service, intimate ambiance, and all great food options. It definitely had the white tablecloth experience. We were attending a show at DAR and we didn't dine long, I did order the Lobster pasta, and it was very flavorful. I would like to return for bruch, as I hear that it is one of the best at the Wharf. If you are looking for a more upscale dining experience, Limani is a go-to. read more
