There's something about a craving fulfilled that just seriously lights up your life.... I have been CRAVING some oysters. I saw a random post on social media earlier in the week and it's been stuck in my head ever since. I was going to be in DC all day Friday for work and then heading to Bowie for a dance recital so I figured well... why NOT stop by for happy hour oysters? AMBIANCE: Happy hour is 3-6pm I think so. It was LOUD, And PACKED. MAKE THE RESERVATION!!!!! I saw people get turned away bc they just pulled up. I made a nice reservation for 1 and it was great. I sat outside. It had just finished raining so it wasn't too hot at all to do that, and I go hot easy. SERVICE: So, as you can imagine, it was busy busy busy. They have $1.25 oysters during happy hour so of course it's gonna be a crazy time. And on Friday! Well, duh. It was perfect. My server was the besttttt. I was sat outside so when it started raining I did decide to get up and move seats... I know the restaurant has a process but I wasn't gonna wait for them to get to me bc they were busy. So I let my server know I moved and it was fine. This did make it so that I was charged a $30 more on my bill. Yall-- make sure you speak up! They had made a mistake. Was it my fault for moving? Maybe, but I called attention to it and it was taken care of. FOOD: Total I ordered 21 oysters & 2 drinks... excessive? Nope. I think not. The oysters came out SWIFTLY!!!!! so I was so so excited. It satisfied the exact craving I had. I did take some time to be there, so maybe be aware of that. But the service and food was great. At incredible value.

I popped in for a late lunch and there were a few other customers but they put me in another section and forgot about me. I maybe waited 10 minutes before the bartender came to greet me and he was great. I ordered 3 East Coast oysters and 3 West Coast oysters and they were all phenomenal. I loved the different mignonettes they offered, especially the pepper one. It's a nice space with great natural light and I'll definitely go back for Happy Hour which seems to be their specialty. The HH deals look great.

I love coming to King's Street Oyster Bar for their happy hour specials. I usually stop by specifically for the $1.25 oysters-- they're such a great deal. They also offer a variety of other specials: including $6 cocktails & wine and food options ranging from $6-$11. I recently had a solo happy hour on the patio, and it was such a great experience. The customer service was excellent, and everything from the food to the drinks hit the spot. Definitely a go-to for a laid-back, affordable happy hour.

One of my favorite HH spots. It's always a good time and the vibe depends on the day and time that you come. This trip was a Wednesday at HH on a nice 70 degree day so it was pretty packed outside and got a little loud at times. We had Renee as our server and she was great. Super attentive, friendly, and timely even with all the customers she was serving. Other servers checked in on us to while making rounds. I got oysters, tenders, and crab cake sliders, along with a white peach margarita and some house punches. My friends ordered the HH shrimp, po' boy, more oysters, and too many drinks to count. The prices use to be a little lower (and I hope they can go back to their original prices!) but the food and drinks were delicious per usual and I commend the consistency at this place. Will be back!

The vibes are immaculate! Went two nights in a row while in DC - the white chocolate bread pudding is to die for and the grilled oysters and fried shrimp were chefs kiss. Loved it!

My husband loves raw oysters so we came here for happy hour. I had a reservation, so we were seated quickly. It was very packed as expected for a nice Friday afternoon. My husband got a dozen raw oysters and the fried green tomatoes. I got a shrimp po boy and brussel sprouts. My husband enjoyed the oysters so much he got another dozen. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly, while I didn't care for the slaw on the po boy it was still good. The brussel spouts were pretty good too. They weren't mushy and the sauce was good. Definitely a great spot for happy hour.

A locally heralded spot, King Street Oyster Bar does not disappoint. Whether you are roaming around Downtown Leesburg while on vacation or a resident, this local establishment is always bustling. Make a reservation; otherwise, you may end up with seating throughout ( i.e. at the bar, high tops, etc.). The service is friendly and the recommendations are attentive to the customers. Definitely check out their happy hour menu! The portions are size able and the food is flavorful. The seafood is curated and the flavors of the sea hit all the good notes of eating seafood. The portions are shareable and it's my recommendation to go family style! If oysters is in the title of your place, 100% you need to order them. And 100% this assumption is correct. The oysters were spectacular. A balance between being the right salty flavor without making you feel like you are eating bad sea water. It was fresh, sweet, salty, and balanced. Things I had: - Brussels Sprouts ( order these!) - Shrimp Bites ( Yum) - Spinach artichoke dip - Cobb salad ( good play on the traditional) - linguine and clam Pasta ( Yum and the sauce is delicious + garlic bread) -Oysters ( must get)

I always have a really great time at this spot. The happy hour cannot be beat and runs on a daily basis--there's really something for everyone. Keep in mind that there is a 90 min table time limits for hh. The oysters and seafood always taste delicious and fresh. I usually stick to the crab cake sliders and oysters. It's definitely a place you can pop in by yourself, or with others, although it can be busy and tight in space for large parties. There's also a patio.

This place can get very lively for happy hour but the staff is very nice and good at their jobs. I do have to start off saying that the drinks were a miss for me unfortunately but the food was good. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Shrimp po boy was nicely seasoned and the bread was soft. Now the crab cake sandwich in the happy hour menu looks like one sandwich split into two so do with that what you will but it was good still.

You will find metered street parking in front of the restaurant and within a reasonable walking distance. The restaurant has a large patio area on the side and a small one up front. There is a full bar with seating and a decent sized dining area. As you would have guessed, the restaurant serves raw and fried oyster, calamari, crab cakes, lobster rolls, shrimps, salmon and scallop dishes. I placed my order online and ordered the fried oyster poboy which came with fries. I also got some hush puppies. When I got there i found a spot right out front and planned on just running in, getting my meal, and being on my way. That was not the case. Apparantly, they have to approve all online orders, which they had not done in the 20 minutes it took me to get there. So, they only approved my order after I inquired about it. They really need to fix that system. I thought I was saving time but, I ended up waiting there about 15 to 20 minutes. I would have expected that they put some urgency on my order after it was finally approved, but that did not happen. My food was between ok and good. I was not a fan of the hush puppies and could not finish them. They were not very good. The fries were decent, but some of them were overcooked. The oyster poboy was good. It may not have been the best that I have had, but I liked it. The cole slaw and bread really made it that much better. I have mixed feelings about this place. I would not be opposed to coming back here. It just would not be my first choice.

King Street Oyster Bar is easily one of DC's best spots for a great happy hour, especially if you're an oyster lover. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming, and the staff keeps things moving smoothly even when the place gets busy. The happy hour deals are fantastic--fresh oysters at a great price, along with a solid selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. The oysters are consistently clean, flavorful, and well-shucked, and the drinks are refreshing and well-crafted. It's the perfect combination for an after-work stop or a relaxed start to the evening. If you're in DC and want quality oysters and drinks without the high price tag, King Street Oyster Bar's happy hour is absolutely worth checking out.

Pretty decent happy hour location in the city. Just don't forget that there is a 18% gratuity on your check. I will say that my margarita was very mid and I just end up switching over to the red sangria after the first one. My favorite dish was the brussels sprouts but the fried green tomatoes came in as a strong second. During happy time obviously the music is just right, but it is very crowded so don't expect to sit there and not have every table filled next to you. Our waitress checked on us numerous times without being obnoxious or a headache being that there is a time limit on the happy hour tables so I do appreciate that. Check them out when you have a chance. One last thing parking is horrible over there, so the best thing to do is probably taking the metro

King Street Oyster Bar is the queen of happy hours, and it never EVER disappoints! The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but the atmosphere is lively, the service is always on point, and the food hits every time. I had the burger, mussels, and shrimp+, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Whether you're there for drinks, small bites, or a full meal, you really can't go wrong here. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots for a good vibe and great food.
