Excellent stop at The Wharf with clear views across the Washington Channel. I ordered the Calamari Fritto and a Margherita pizza (adding crispy pepperoni). Both were very good. The calamari came with shrimp (bonus in my book...!), was properly crisp, and the basil aioli worked well. The pizza had a solid crust and good balance of cheese and toppings. I usually don't ever mention the iced tea, but it was very refreshing and delicious here! I was dining alone and could not finish the pizza, so I offered the remaining half to a table of four nearby rather than let it go to waste. Server Emma took excellent care of me throughout the meal. Friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. Service with a smile and a pleasant waterfront setting. Worth a visit if you are at The Wharf and want solid Italian with a view.

During my last stay at the Canopy, I decided to try Capitano for dinner and was so impressed that I returned for breakfast! Service: I placed my orders for pick up so that experience went by without a hitch. The staff were very nice and they packaged my order with care. The restaurant itself was beautiful and a perfect place to sit and dine for those desiring to do so. Dinner: for dinner I ordered the crispy chicken cavatappi and a side of crispy brussel sprouts. The cavatappi was phenomenal! The cook on the pasta was al dente and the flavors, a rich combination of citrusy savoriness, was so refreshing. The chicken serving was a little small but I think that the pasta swept me away. The crispy brussels were out of this world! The dressing was both creamy and tangy and it perfectly coated each of the crispy brussels without overpowering it. I was blown away by both dishes The next day I grabbed breakfast and we decided on smashed avocado toast and a lemon ricotta waffles. The smashed avocado toast was simply divine!!!! The cook on the fried egg was perfect and the flavors combined on the sourdough bread-REMARKABLE! The waffles were also incredible, no complaints heard. Overall, it's rare that I eat from the same place back to back but when the food is that good, you don't want to break your winning streak!

I was disappointed with the service and quality at Capitano. I tried the burrata and chicken cavatappi and both dishes were just ok. The burrata bread was undertoaated and pasta noodles overcooked. The crispy chicken on the pasta was really good, so I would recommend any of the dishes made with that. Service was incredibly slow with no explanation, we were later told the printer in the kitchen broke so they didn't get our order.

Cute restaurant by the water. Food was decent but the service needs some improvement. We had a large party and were seated quickly but our server quickly changed her demeanor when we said none of us will be having alcoholic drinks. After that, she barely checked on us and didn't say more than 3 words. The other staff were also quick to remove plates from our table as if they were in a hurry to kick us out. The restaurant was more than 70% empty so it felt uncomfortable for them rushing us. Would not return.

Ordered the brick chicken for my entree and shared a pizza. The brick chicken was cooked well and had some good flavors, but was really tiny in terms of portion for its pricing point ($28). The pizza was made fresh but was a little salty. Service was fine, but the food took a whole to come out and it wasn't too busy at the time we went. We went there on opening month, so hopefully there operations have improved since then.

I'm expecting great things from Capitano and I'm excited to have more waterfront dining in my neighborhood! This new option is described as "Southern Italian, featuring fresh seafood, pasta, and cocktails." The atmosphere is described as "A "hidden gem" designed to feel like a seaside village with an outdoor terrace." Well, let me add my perspective. It was easy to find and parking is under the hotel in garage 1. The restaurant is comfortable and casual. The servers are very friendly and happy to describe dishes/respond to questions.

The food was really good however the wait was long around 30 mins. They were little backed up but eventually we got our food. Becca was helpful who was our waiter and the space and vibe is beautiful.

Capitano just opened at the Canopy Hotel at the beginning of the month so I want to be fair and give credit where it is due while also being honest about the experience. The greeter at the front was pleasant and escorted us to a nice table by the window. The views of the water were a lovely touch and a great start to the evening. Unfortunately once we were seated I looked down and noticed the floor around our table was not clean. There were crumbs, hair and a random fry right by my feet. It is a small thing but sweeping the area before seating new guests would go a long way. The service was a bit slow but honestly not surprising for a restaurant still finding its footing. Our server was nice and pleasant though did not go above and beyond from a hospitality standpoint. One thing worth noting is that tap water was automatically brought to the table without being asked whether we preferred still or sparkling. Again a small detail but those little touches matter. On the food side the meatballs were tasty and the chicken parmesan was fine. They had run out of the crispy brussels by the time we ordered so I went with the Parmesan fries as a substitute which were okay. Overall it was a decent first visit but there is definitely room to grow. I have a feeling once they settle in and work out the early kinks this place could really shine. I will check back in a few months and see how things have progressed!

If you are trying to visit a place that will blow you away with their Italian food, this is not it. I would have expected to leave the place very satisfied after spending close to $200 on a dinner for two but the only thing I can say I enjoyed was my Naples Spritz. Lots of work to do when it comes to service, which was pretty slow and the food very disappointing, didn't event get to sit by the window for a view, perhaps that would have served as consolation for such a hefty bill. I hope that they offer happy hour because that's the only way I would be returning to this restaurant. I ordered the lump crab scampi and although the taste was fine, the pasta itself was very overcooked, definitely not the Italian "al dente." The ladyfingers in the tiramisu were quite dry, perhaps a little more coffee? The price does unfortunately not make this place worth it.

Just saw a TikTok review that this place just opened. We tried to go to fish shop however we missed brunch. We walked into the canopy and went to the second floor to see Capitano. Immediately upon entering. We see the break taking views of the waterfront . We were sat immediately next to the window and were able to admire the views of the water. We order our drinks, the white Negroni and the Basilicata, which were amazing. I ordered the Atlantic salmon, and it was cooked to perfection! I loved the beans and zucchini mixture. My boyfriend enjoyed the Milanese, to the point he asked for seconds lol. The wait staff was so attentive to make sure our food was to our liking and definitely checked in on us for drinks. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch!

We went on a Sunday evening and although I was nervous because I couldn't make reservations on Open Table, we got there and got seated by the water right away. The main takeaway and reason for 3 stars is the bar service was very slow. There were maybe 6-8 other people in the restaurant and it took almost a half an hour for my partner to receive their drink. I'm hoping with this place just getting started that they're figuring it out (I've been to other restaurants freshly opened where the same thing happens, so they're not alone) and the service speed will get better :) I got the chicken cavatappi which I thought was fabulous!

To say I was pleasantly surprised though is an understatement! The first time I ordered sushi my roll was solid (although the second time the rice was a bit stale.) However, I also ordered the fish tacos and the combination of both were the perfect amount of food for a late evening meal. The Blackened Mahi Tacos (2) had more flavor than I anticipated and were actually really satisfying. Bonus point for the kitchen being open late. I'll definitely be willing to explore the menu more in the future!

Dacha is a semi-outdoor beer garden across from Nat's Park and a short walk from Audi Field, making it the perfect storm to collect a massive crowd before a game. We arrived shortly before happy hour ended, about two hours before a Friday night Spirit game and were able to get a table. Dacha did fill up quickly, but with plenty of seating and an open section with standing tables in the center, there was still room to move around. With the glass walls surrounding us, we felt like we were in a garden. The noise level, while high, was not as bad as Solace, and we were still actually able to hear each other. Our server did not check on us as time went by, but she did bring us waters as soon as we were seated, which really exceeds my expectations for a beer garden. Our food and drinks arrived quickly and were super tasty. Both the flagship lager and IPA were drinks I'd order again, and as a vinho verde admirer, I appreciated having that as an option on the HH menu. While the skinny burger is delicious, the real star of the HH menu is the fried pickles, homemade and flavorful and piping hot. I'm eager to go back for another pregame and try the HH cocktail, perhaps sampling something from the regular menu as well.
