It wasn't too busy, so I was in the chair immediately. After I was done, I discovered that Nisha was the one who did my brows and oh so beautifully. Everyone I interacted with at the salon was friendly and welcoming upon my arrival, which made me feel more at ease about trying a new location. At just $10 for threading, the quality was great.

Buyer Beware. Diwali DISAPPOINTMENT!…read more The owner is absolutely INCONSIDERATE and UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL in his business practices. You may even be SCOLDED like me over any minor issue. He will keep changing prices for exact same service provided previously/ routinely. Even if you confirm price each time you walk in to be sure, he'll still try to raise price AFTER service is complete (so customer feels wrongfully compelled). This evening I confirmed price for hair and henna as soon as I reached, because of past experiences. We verbally agreed. After we did my face waxing, he asked if I wasn't in a hurry, if I could wait while they do threading and waxing for a customer who suddenly came SEVERAL minutes AFTER me. I nicely agreed but emphasized it was my Birthday and Diwali on the same day (11/4) this year so please be sure to take care of me too, as my hair and henna were still pending (each usually takes about 7 minutes). Apparently the other customer was a greater profit so ETHICS went out the window when my turn came. After I waited ~30m, the owner suddenly increased the price for my hair from verbally agreed upon $12 to $20 - without any good / valid reason. I was disappointed but still wanted the service given my Birthday and Diwali so nicely offered $15 just because other salon appts wouldn't be available in time for my Diwali party the very next night. He very rudely and loudly said NO, the price was now $20 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, even though I waited and even though he agreed $12 just ~30m earlier. So I again nicely said let's just do my henna and he refused. He said it was too late, they suddenly wanted to close. I had pointed out that I was speaking at a normal volume and he had been speaking at a needlessly high volume / aka yelling. He says because "I am pissed off." Sorry but there is NO reason to raise your voice to a regular customer, who was being perfectly calm, especially over a mere $5. And he refused to do my henna though I started to tear up because I had told him henna is a way of celebrating given my Birthday blessedly falls on Diwali. The beautician Deepali even looked sadly at me because the owner was scolding me over $5 and refusing me the very quick services after I had waited for the other (apparently more profitable) customer. So there you have it - despite all, there is not even an IOTA of customer service, professionalism, or even making a young lady's Diwali and Birthday a happy one. The very least they could do was complete the henna service since the design and price were not at all in question. I had not at all raised my voice so am not ever accepting being yelled at by a BUSINESS OWNER. You need to be more PROFESSIONAL than that, have BASIC BUSINESS ETHICS & minimal DECENCY. You should not treat your customers SO VERY POORLY because one day you will run out of customers to cheat and abuse. Especially with so many other salons in the area with competitive service such as Bindiya and Payal also in Parsippany. Forget customer is always right, customers even get scolded here.

The staff here are very friendly and always greeted me whenever I walk in. The wait is never too long and usually, I'll get a seat immediately as a walk in. I read a lot of reviews and I agree that it is a bit unsanitary-- the staff don't wash their hands before threading your brows nor do they use gloves. The thread can also be a bit dusty since it just sits there on the table. However I never had any issues with my face breaking out, but that is also because my skin doesn't really break out. I went a few days ago because my eyebrows were a bit uneven in length and one brow is also higher than the other brow. I grew out my eyebrows so that the lady can reshape it so that it is more even. I informed the lady about my eyebrow situation and she assured me that she can fix it. Although she made the eyebrows more even in length, one eyebrow is still higher than the other. Although it's pretty cheap getting your eyebrows threaded at this place, I think it's also time for me to tryout other places too.

She has many years of experience and gave me great breathing techniques to get through those moments (ladies you know what I'm talking about!!) she was really easy to talk through and even asked about my prior experience. This is the first time in a long time where my Brazilian was tolerable and I attribute that to the soft wax but also my waxer. They called to cancel my appointment with one day's notice, leaving me a cheery voicemail, apologizing for any inconvenience . Management never returned my phone calls when I called repeatedly asking to speak with somebody. And they continue to send me emails, reminding me to book an appointment for service they no longer offer. I have heard from former employees that management treats them poorly, messes with their schedule and has no respect for keeping customers aligned with the person who you have established a relationship with. To me this demonstrates a disregard both of their employees and their customers. I understand that businesses can choose to make decisions based on a variety of factors. I am not writing this review based on their decision. I am writing this review based on their handling of their decision, which, in my opinion could not have more poorly. Before all of this, I was happy with the establishment for years. i'm sure there are good people that work there who provide great service. However, I cannot overlook the way I was treated and the ongoing insult. Emailing me encouraging me to book an appointment.
