Now, I thought initially, and she even admitted, that the chicken and dumplings/beef stew mix was a little unorthodox, but that they were both so good I had to try them. Both were fantastic. The apples were awesome. I liked both types of corn bread. When I got up to leave, she called me over to the counter and said that since it was my first time there, I'd get a free dessert. You all, I was too full to even try. The food here is both tasty and filling. I was in Richmond for a conference at Eastern Kentucky University. So it was really convenient to stop by. Parking is simple as it's free street parking and there's plenty of space. I ordered the big cheese sandwich with tomato soup dip. While waiting, I noticed they have a coffee bar inside so I ordered a half and half cortado. (Half decaf, half regular with half and half cream) Nick the barista was top notch. He not only matched my vibe on learning about all things good foods but he made one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time. I will most definitely be returning here as soon as I come back to Berea.
