Came looking for this place this morning I was the only one there on a Sunday at 11:00 but that was okay too. You have to look up or you'll miss it because the road is quick right after the 75 so it's across the street from the hotel in the Mexican restaurant. Service was fine and the food was good I will be back to see what lunch is like and maybe get a drink. And the Kentucky country Hall of Fame is only about 5 minutes away from here. Service was horrible and they were not busy. Food was forgotten that we ordered to be put into the kitchen, how does anyone do that when it's all on the same ticket? This restaurant was a delight during our road trip home! Our waitress was fantastic, friendly and fun, with a great sense of humor. The food was absolutely wonderful. I tried fried pickles and coleslaw, neither of which I usually like but they were really good! (The hillbilly tacos usually come served with coleslaw on top but I had them put it on the side.) I have heard really good things about Limestone Grill. So, I decided to try it out. My family is always saying when you come back to town we go to Limestone. We stopped by on the way Somerset. We were seated promptly. The waitress was extremely helpful. We were seated at a slanted table. I think that table should be replaced. Along with a few others that were crooked. The restaurant could use a upgrade. We were told to not get a booth when we went Limestone. Because, the booths needed new cushion. I always prefer a booth. I ordered a breaded tenderloin with two sides. The tenderloin was excellent. The sides were good but they were small. My kids got a cheeseburger and fries. Their food was good I guess they didn't complain. But, it was served in what looked like a metal dog tray. This looked very unprofessional to me. read more

This place is a little hard to find because it is up on a hill. There is only a little parking lot. The interior decor is kind of cool with rough sawn trim. The service was okay but not outstanding. I had chicken breasts on a bed of rice with a balsamic dressing, fried green tomatoes, and a baked sweet potato. The chicken was was good, the rice was rice, the fried green tomatoes were really good. The sweet potato was awesome. This place is worth stopping by and having a meal. read more

This is a great option in the area. It has fried foods, grilled foods, salads, and a bar. Pretty much anything I've had here was good, but my favs are: loaded fries, grilled shrimp (great size of shrimp), honey mustard dressing, and corn (cut fresh off the cob). The servers are friendly, and I've never really had a problem with their service. The only issue I have with this restaurant is that the wait for food can be a bit long. It's not that I mind this, because it always tastes great. You just don't want to come here if you're in a hurry. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch (previous reviews) and ease of location as it's right off the highway. There were 3 waitresses working, and it honestly wasn't that busy. There was one other table occupied in the dining room, one sat after us, and looked like a few scattered on the patio. We ordered super easy meals for speed (chicken tenders and a BLT). We waited-and waited-and waited for approximately 30 minutes. Another table was seated after us and received their meals in about 10 minutes (one meal being the same as the chicken tender meal). We tried 3 times to get out servers attention to ask about our food, and she ignored us each time. We finally left the restaurant without eating and frustrated with the time we had wasted there. read more

We stopped at Limestone Grille today on our way home from Tennessee. They have generous portions of a wonderful home style menu. Rhonda waited on our table of 9 and kept in constant contact with us to top off drinks and to make sure our food was good and we had everything needed. Let me tell you...... the first time I ordered from them I swore I wouldn't ever do it again....The service was fast... the food was edible but it was lacking in the flavor department. Not that it tasted bad, it just didn't have the seasonings I would've used.... And then I realized I hadn't sat at the table in the restaurant so I don't really know what they provide to season things with..... at home, I can do it ANY WAY I LIKE! just ordered for the third time, the service is still rapid. 23 minutes from the time my call STARTED to them, to the time she (the wonderful delivery gal) called me saying she was in the lot (which I missed, sorry, my phone was on silent!). She hunted my front door down though and the neighbors (apartment building) sent her to the right door.... Very pleasant delivery, even though it had to have been awful finding me, so thanks again! Let me say, I read reviews about the hillbilly tacos, and they are correct.... NOM!! Loaded baked potato, Gulf Shrimp (excellent price, large serving) with a side of beans and rice.... And those awesome hillbilly tacos. Season to taste, folks, and you will have a WONDERFUL meal. Located at the top of a hill in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. It's very hidden and hard to find. I advice is to look up high and you will see it. Once here it is worth it. You will find some great cooks and waitresses that are anxious to serve you. They have great country food here too. Not to mention their sweet tea. They have daily specials so pay attention to sign on the left just as you walk in. I got the daily special for $5.99. menu items ordered: collared greens, fried corn bread, northern white beans and fried green tomatoes with a roll. She brought me my sweet tea immediately and a roll with butter. The fried green tomatoes were great as they came with two sauces which were ranch and chipotle. The collared greens with fried corn bread were delicious as I ate them together. I added a little salt and pepper to taste. The corn bread was unusual as it was flat and round like a pan cake. Just don't for lunch, stopped in, been on the road for 2 weeks, tired of the chains , service was awful, and honestly it pretty much was about every other place we've been. We ordered appetizers, they came with the meal, no flavor on the food, chicken fried steak was just pathetic, grinder sandwich... well how can you mess that up really???? We were so excited to stop this evening for the Dinner Special. We arrived and had a seat within 30min. We ordered our drinks and received those in about 20min. The sweet tea had a good flavor. Then our Dinner Special side salad came out to our table following about 10min. The salad was a good size portion. Then issue we had with our meal was our Prime Rib did not get brought to our table until over an hour later and when it did arrive the food was not fit to eat. The prime rib was just nasty, end of story. Our baked potato was never brought to the table and we were asked if we would like a different side. We did get another side and it was low quality as well. I do not recommend ordering their Dinner Special. $19.99 Prime Rib, Baked Potato, side salad. read more

My child previously worked there and left due to the owner Ben Richardson and manager Kimberly Combs allowing sick employees to cook the food and wait tables. All while the employees had DR notes and positive test results for flu and strep but told if they miss they are fired. This place is horrible and not to code with hygiene or health department standards. I hope to see this place fixed soon or shut down for the community's safety and well being. My child, family, nor my church will be dining with them again. read more

This place is fabulous! My friend had pinto beans/fried potatoes/cornbread. Real fried potatoes (like in a pan, not deep fried) and the best fried cornbread (none of that Jiffy mix crap!). I didn't try the beans but she said they were delicious. I had turkey/dressing. The turkey was obviously freshly cut (not a pre-packaged slice), dressing with flecks of homemade cornbread as there were pieces with dark crust and fluffy insides, creamy coleslaw that had sweet cabbage (not that 'hot' tasting cabbage that is the pre-shredded bag that's obviously includes the cores) and green beans cooked and seasoned to perfection. Tasted like Sunday dinner at Grandma's 50 years ago. Service was great and you cannot beat the prices. Worth the travel cost from Lexington for me. I haven't been to a restaurant that actually cooked this type of food in-house in a long time. Highly recommend. read more

I waited until i had eaten here 5 times to leave this review so that i could be fair. The first time i ordered i was very happy with the food. I would have given it a 5 star review. Since then it has been very hit or miss on if you get good food or not. Twice the food has been great, 3 times not very good. I wont be ordering from them again. This last meal delivered was terrible. The ribeye sandwich was very over cooked, i got a measley 6 small onion rings that was supposed to be a full order. Now that the misses are more than the hits as far as the food, they will no longer get my business. I dont recommend eating here. read more

The fries were good, and the atmosphere was fun. We were seated on the patio, which was pretty busy with some larger families having a good time. There was a fire going on the side, and the service was good. I topped my meal off with some pecan pie- served cold- which was just what I needed... soooo good! Wrong cheese, veggies cut up wrong and the meat tasted like chopped up sandwich meat. Chef needs some serious training. Cobbler in a mason jar was cute but it wasnt the best. First time to the area and so we asked where was a good place to eat and we were told this grill. Waited an hour but it smelled so great from outside we were cool with that. Once at our table, out waitress was considerate and took our orders quickly. It went downhill from there. We waited an hour for our food. When we got it, it was not even hot. The cheese on our loaded fries was solid again. My shrimp was luke warm but I was so hungry, I ate it. My husband's steak was cold and flavorless. The onions weren't even caramelized as requested. The manager came by and we shared our problems and all she said was she'd get him a new steak but we weren't waiting another hour for it. She didn't adjust the bill. We ate, we paid, we left. We will not be back. 2 hours for some awful food. Don't waste your time. read more
