Friends took me and my husband here for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. Lovely setting with a focus on quality instead of quantity of choices. I had the airline chicken piccata, my husband had the lamb burger, and our friends had the mushroom linguine and the fish. We all had to taste test each other's dishes and they were all very good. I have to say though that my favorites from the evening were the pork belly lettuce cups and the chocolate cake with bourbon whip cream. Great option for a special celebration. read more

Outstanding find. In town for keenland races and made reservations based whiskey aficionado magazine. No disappointment here. House old fashioned - orange marmalade syrup is a solid boost in flavor. Special was beef Wellington. Huge portions outstanding mushroom blend. Perfect med rare to rare and flaky crust. Brick seared chicken and low mein. All outstanding. Limewater is a new favorite in Frankfort. The location with beautiful views of the river is perfect for a date night. The service was top notch, and we loved that we could make reservations on Open Table. The food was delicious -- salad, bread basket, alligator tail etouffee, and half roasted chicken. read more

Traveling through hitting the Bourbon trail and found this gem! How this restaurant is not the most packed place in town is beyond me. Amazing! DO NOT sleep on this place and don't skip the Blondie for dessert! Cocktails are hand crafted with fresh ingredients, my kind of people. Beautiful space, great location 2 mins from the BT distillery. Wow! Went to Limewater last night for the first time and it was fantastic. The building and property are unique being right on the river. Our server was informative and attentive with good drink recommendations. We had the beef Wellington and it was delicious. I look forward to returning soon. Well done Team Limewater! read more

When we arrived for our reservation we were told it would be another 20 minutes because the couple was still eating at our table. We went to the bar and had drinks: the bartender was lovely, informative and fast. When we were seated it took a while for someone to acknowledge us and get us water and take our drink order. Our waitress forgot one of our appetizers and my husbands wine. Our appetizer came out quickly but our main course took longer than expected. Our waitress was not attentive and did not check on us. So we couldn't request our missing appetizer or wine. When the food came out she said the kitchen was backed up and we said just cancel our other appetizer which she didn't even realize she didn't put in. We requested the wine again and it was then promptly brought out. No apologies for any of it though. The fritters were ok but the mushroom gnocchi is the only reason I would return. It was out of this world delicious. My husband agreed. He got the NY strip filet and it was ok. The sauce was good but the steak was less like a steak and more like a pot roast. Didn't even wait for a dessert menu because I just wanted to get out of there. Also the dining room was extremely hot and we were sweating by the end of dinner. read more

Whitney was our server and she was just precious. She was kind, professional, and provided exceptional customer service. For our girl's night out we began with the flatbread with goat cheese and mushrooms. Delicious!!! We ordered mushroom linguine and chicken piccata. We both enjoyed our entrees tremendously. I loved the beautiful house... it was breathtaking inside as well as outside in the backyard! The Salads were delicious and Soup! I would not recommend the Falafel wrap was a disappointment being way to dry and not enough sauce! My coffee was not fresh it had been sitting! I will try this beautiful restaurant again but I think they need to work on tasting the quality of the food before it goes out to be served! I'm writing this review because I want Lime Water to make it! I have heard from other couples and ladies mixed reviews of it being good or really bad! Prices being higher customers expect delicious quality food that not only looks good but is yummy! We eat with our eyes first and then comes taste! I wish Lime Water much success! My husband and I just ate at Limewater Bistro. Frankfort's newest restaurant. It was wonderful! It is in a beautiful location by the river and the service and food were exceptional. Our server, Latesha, was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations on what to order. The shrimp and grits were outstanding!!! We highly recommend it!! read more

Old home converted to restaurant overlooking the river. The menu is limited, but of great quality. Food tasted fresh and prepared with excellence. The staff is attentive. I would definitely return for delicious food and a great dining experience. Only criticism is the measured pours on the cocktails. So long as food quality and preparation remains, I see this being an excellent and highly desirable dining destination. read more
