Good place. Nice run-of-the-mill sports bar, can't complain. If places don't provide the average or…read moreminimum for NYC, you'll definitely hear about it from me, but I tend to err on the positive and optimistic side and I'm very pro-local business, so this one gets a fair shake. This is actually the original Stout NYC flagship, open since 2005, three stories with a 75-foot main bar, 150-plus bottled beers, 25 on draft, and something like 65 Irish whiskies if that's more your speed, plus a dart alley and pool rooms tucked into the back for a private event. Came here before a major event to get some drinks going and it delivered. Fast and friendly service, wide open space, good location, just two blocks from MSG and Penn Station, which makes it an obvious staging point before a game or a show. Nothing revolutionary, just a solid, reliable sports bar that does exactly what it's supposed to do before you head into the Garden.

Amazing place before a concert…read more Had a table for 8 before a Rush concert. Great beer list. Had a few Guinness to keep it easy drinking. Others had various stouts - ok one had a cider but we won't judge him. Smash burgers were very good, tasty sweet potato fries and loved the pickle fries. The traditional burger apparently had some bun issues. Also had calamari that was good. Best of all they played Rush live concert videos across all the screens and got the crowd in the mood. Tons of screens here so should be great during sporting events. Spacious restaurant, nice clean washrooms. Service was excellent Prices fair. Highly recommended as a pre concert location and look forward to coming back in the future when I'm not in a Rush.

I'm sure I have had Colombian food before, but it has been quite a while and Barriles was my first…read moreauthentic "newer" Colombian place to try. Came here for a little small belated birthday dinner for a friend and we had a very nice time. We each just had a dish since we knew the portions are BIG. The menu is extensive and there was a lot to choose from. They even offer some Mexican and Italian dish options. I had the Grilled Skirt Steak (Monterey), which was SO BIG I had leftover for lunch the next day. :) the meat was pretty tender and juicy. The dish came with tostones (big) and rice. We were also served salads to start. What stands out a lot is the amazing service here. They are so polite, friendly, patient and helpful. The restaurant definitely seemed staffed properly which I suppose was a good thing because as the night progressed, the place filled up (for a Thursday night). My friends had the salmon and the Chicken Franchise. I took off just one star because they ended up charging my friends twice (but rectified the mistake), hopefully her funds will sort out. They also charge extra if you want to make any side substitutions... which isn't kind of crappy. The place is also beautifully decorated and spacious. Will def be back very soon! Next time we'll partake in an adult beverage maybe :)

This has been my spot for many years for happy hours, dinner and to watch soccer games…read more It is a large restaurant so you can usually find a spot at the bar or at a table. But when there are big soccer events, it can get very packed. I especially like their frozen passion fruit margarita because it is sweet and strong with a tajin rim. All of their food is delicious, especially their picada which comes with a variety of meat; chicken, chicharrón, sausage and potato. The chicharrón is always crunchy and all the dipping sauces pair so well with everything in the picada. The vibe inside the restaurant is always very fun with good music playing in the background and the bar always has very friendly staff. If you are ever in the Jackson heights area, you should give them a try.
